Reviews for Patio Alto

Review 1:OK, if I had to find one, I would like the wifi signal a little stronger.

Review 2:Everything. It is my style of travelling in a conveniant hotel. You feel at home and the place is just one of my favorite. I would like to travel more often in a hotel like that.

Review 3:Very quiet and clean. Pleasant garden. Sandra (reception, housekeeping, breakfast...!) is amazing. She will do everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Review 4:There is nothing to dislike about Patio Alto.

Review 5:The host is a wonderful person full of good tips and knowledge of the area. She speaks perfect English as well. You will not regret staying at Patio Alto.

Review 6:The only downside is the road up to it!

Review 7:This is a warm, welcoming and comfortable small hotel. There are many small touches that makes this a great place to stay - you can make tea, coffee etc at any time of the day, in the afternoon small pieces of cake are put out for guests, there was fresh fruit and water in the rooms but above all Pat the manager is excellent. She provided information on local places to visit but also explained their history, came over to make sure that all was okay and genuinely wanted to know how your visit had gone.I would highly recommend this hotel and it was my favourite stay of our whole trip.

Review 8:Difficult to find.

Review 9:Room on ground floor was perfect but as we ordered an extra day, we had to move to the basement and that was less perfect. Good bed, nice and helpful staff.

Review 10:The spacious room (bedroom, kitchen, sitting room), the most professional staff ( helpful, discreet, the good bed, the perfect location ( terrace overgrown with trees full of birds), the good restaurant of the hotel.

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:This small hotel is up the hill from the main town area so it is quiet. Easy walking distance to restaurants but what sets this place as the best is the staff. Pat, the manager, is fluent in English and so welcoming and helpful. The other staff are always smiling and while they do speak English they are wonderful.

Review 13:Excellent location, very friendly staff explaining all you need to see and visit in perfect english; excellent breakfast with home made cookies and muesli; excellent balie for money

Review 14:Everything - location, the staff, the breakfast (homemade bread and banana and nut cake as well as the best homemade granola EVER!). Pat is so welcoming and a pleasure to chat to. She also provides sound advice and suggestions for what to do. At 8pm a lovely lady knocked on my door to provide me with a hot water bottle. This place is perfect.

Review 15:Little bit of a trek from the bus station over some unpaved roads, but that's not the fault of Patio Alto.

Review 16:Very friendly staff who went the extra mile - even provided hot water bottles in winter without being asked! Maintained to a very high standard.

Review 17:Everything

Review 18:Wifi did not reach inside our room.

Review 19:Overall tranquility of the place within the desert.

Review 20:In the night it was very noisy, bevause the dogs are the hole night barking.

Review 21:Todo

Review 22:Everything: - Great room with nice view on the mountains (try to get room 5) - Great fresh and home made breakfast - Great taste in terms of decoration - Great service and nice people really helpfull - Good english which can be rare in that region

Review 23:Patio Alto is a very nice and stylishly decorated place with stunning views of the village and its surroundings. Even though the main plaza (incl. restaurants) is a couple of blocks away, it can easily be reached by foot just down the road. The owners are extremely helpful and a very nice breakfast is included. Overall, an extremely pleasant stay!

Review 24:they don't take MasterCard and Booking.com only shows one double and one triple on their website...in reality all the rooms are the same..so even though we only needed two doubles, we had to pay for a double and triple as booked. This is misleading and in future, will check with the hotel directly for prices etc and won't be using booking.com for this. This was also the case for the hotel in Cafayate although that hotel just charged us for two doubles when we told them we were only two couples.

Review 25:the place was great...only praise...clean, wonderful view and Pat is an amazing host, highly recommend it for those visiting the area.

Review 26:WiFi could be better, yet I had the room with reasonable reception.

Review 27:Very friendly and relaxed reception. Rooms are nicely decorated in a natural style. Breakfast also prepared with natural ingredients and scrambled eggs available upon your request. Secure parking.

Review 28:Patio Alto was way above our expectations. Beautiful double rooms with great views. Pat is an amazing host, very informative, friendly and helpful. Patio Alto is a 5 star hostel!

Review 29:Everything .... The view, the hospitality , the room, the breakfast. Only suggestion is that they could open a wine bar in the evening. Taxi service, however, is cheap and easy if one doesn't feel like walking back from town.

Review 30:We were nearby the rooms with sharing bathrooms and sometimes people were noisy

Review 31:I was happy about everything. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious caring about the ingredients and their freshness.

Review 32:wifi only in common areas

Review 33:a really great hotel: very confortable rooms with noce view, fantastic breakfast + tea time ( and even fruits in the room) nice design that fits with nature environment (great garden) and great staff. We liked everything...and Tilcara is great too

Review 34:Nothing negative to say.

Review 35:The location is beautiful, overlooking Tilcara city (and only about 5minutes walking from the main square). The architecture is thoughtfuland practical with some ingenious touches (skylight over the bathroomsink? Great idea!). But the best part is the people--they give advicewithout trying to "sell" anything. And on my departing day, they left my breakfast out an extra two hours because they knew that Ilike to sleep late. I'll definitely be back!

Review 36:Can't think of anything!

Review 37:Everything! Accomodations were comfortabel, common space was lovely andlocation was perfect. PAt helped us with logistics and ideas for how tosctructure out visit. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Therewere hats and day packs to borrow and much information about near bydestinations. Really home run!

Review 38:Internet access is restricted to a small area where usage at night can disturb other guests in adjoining rooms.

Review 39:Meticulous attention to details in a very pleasant setting, beautiful design, quiet location and high quality service. Loved the bread baked in the premises every morning!

Review 40:This is a superb hotel, the decor is simple and tasteful, the views are beautiful and above all the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and very much at home. The breakfasts are delicious. It was the nicest place we stayed in during our whole trip to Argentina and we would love to go back one day.

Review 41:Pat, the host, was very friendly. Stylish accomodation, beautifully designed details, perfectly prepared for travellors requirements.

Review 42:Best stay in argentina!!!! The owner is so lovely and the rooms are great!

Review 43:great breakfast, lovely rooms and service. on the edge of town but not too far. really great hotel
