Reviews for Jugendherberge Bayreuth
Review 1:Only one shower for about 24 people - what were they thinking?! Staff were brusque, unfriendly and humourless.
Review 2:A youth hostel full of a mixture of teenagers and aging Wagnerians is an entertaining thing - it would make a good film. I belong to the category of people who only stay there because everywhere else in Bayreuth during the Festival is obscenely expensive. Given that I would never stay in a youth hostel if I had an alternative, it was tolerable. Rooms were cosy, it was not too noisy.
Review 3:Not really flaws, but just things one should have in mind- reception isn't 24h and the place is next to the university (some 30 min walk from the center and 45 to the train station).
Review 4:Friendly and helpful people; Was in a spacious 6-bed room and enjoyed the breakfast
Review 5:Wifi signal to my room was weak so I was only able to detect it when my device is very close to windows. There was only single shower booth at each floor for male.(I think there will be alternative shower room but I couldn't find it.)
Review 6:Meal with fresh ingredients. Lunch and dinner were available in good price. (advance reservation is required) Super kind staffs. Clean and good feeling from bed clothes. Rooms without any bad smells.
Review 7:The actual dorms have that changing room smell of stale sweat and odorous feet that I remember from school. It was absolutely nauseating. Luckily we slept with the window wide open otherwise it would have been impossible. At 6 a.m. two of the other guys got up to go to work! Impossible to get back to sleep. The whole place needs refurbishing, but I just stayed 1 night which I knew I could just about handle.
Review 8:Reception area is v. spacious and pleasant. You can get cheap coffee and beear Staff were reasonably friendly. The breakfast was SUPERB!!! Worthy of a 4 star hotel. Bathroom and toilets kept very clean. Within walking distance of the centre, provided you don't have heavy bags...
