Hostel EMMA sells fast on our site. Hostel Emma is in a historic building, 1,000 feet from the Vltava River and Karlovo Namesti Tram Stop and Metro Station. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel and is free of charge.
Rooms at Emma Hostel feature hardwood floors and some offer a view of the quiet streets surrounding the property. A full kitchen with free tea and coffee-making facilities and shared bathrooms are available.

Review 1：I didn´t like some of the guests who return back to the hostel late at night, drunk, and very noisy. But I fully understand that it is a hostel, just some of these people should realize that they are not alone in any premises.
Review 2：I especially liked the location of the hostel, close to all the addresses I needed to be.
Review 3：Worst night, very uncomfortable. Dirty place. Not well located, for the price there are better hostels in Prague. Had the bad luck of getting the worst roommate making noises, up all night, eating in room, stinky.

Review 6：The staff was really nice. The first dormitory room was full and seemed tiny so I was gonna upgrade my room to the private one with extra cost. Then he offered me another dormitory room with no guests at that moment. It was really nice.
Review 7：That the walls were a tad thing so you could hear people next door but we only had neighbours for 1 night so it was okay.

Review 12：Hostel Emma had an excellent location, sweet restaurants very close by, and in a walking distance from all major sights of Prague. The price/service quality was good, a lot of young people and couples stayed there during our stay, and the kitchen is also worth mentioning, good possibilities to prepare food.
Review 13：The place is old and full of bedbugs. The musky smell was intolerable. Ileft there with huge bedbug welts and really suffered. The heating tothe room was also not working. So it was a night of insect bites andfreezing cold. Worst stay ever!! Room 206 is a room from hell.

Review 17：one thing to tell: bed bugs. i don't think that there should be any more reasons to avoid this place, but i can give you also very small and very old and dirty rooms, poor lighting in the room and very thin walls (if someone walks in the next room, it feels like he or she is in yours). and yeah, BED BUGS!
Review 18：We stayed at other part of hostel wich is two doors down from mainentrance. It has kitchen area, bathroom,toilet and rooms. If you want toget good night sleep this is not the place to go. If you are shy , thisis not place to go.BUT IF you are a young ,outgoing and want a cheap and safe acomodation ,this is THE BEST MONEY CAN FIND IN CENTER OF PRAHA!!!! You can literaly walk to some atractions, all public transport is close,pubs,restourants, Billa,Mini market is across the street of Hostel. You have all you need. I've meet 3 different receptionist,2 were very nice, 3rd one wasnt but that is probably couz we broke the rules and smoke weed in our room. xD
Review 19：Staff were downright rude - reception boy was more interested in his girlfriend than helping waiting guests. Rooms were not ready by check in. No real privacy in showers. 200 kroun key deposit I didn't know about prior. Far from center.
Review 20：Showers were hot, cheap, easily accessible via metro. Key set for rooms also locked the lockers. Rooms were relatively quiet when windows were shut, otherwise street noise was loud.
Review 21：Sometimes cold water in the shower, the lights keep going off, can't lock the doors, no light in the basement shower.

Review 23：Not very clean, strange smell everywhere Very strange bathroom without lockers and with no place to put your clothes. It's in the same room with sink, so when you get out naked from the shower cabin other people may use sinks at the same time. The window was impossible to close. And one more thing which I didn't like, but is more about people: I was in the same room with 4 Spaniards and they spoke very loudly in the morning and didn't care about the sleeping people. I wish people in the hostels were more respectful to each other.

Review 25：1. The WiFi didn't work well 2. The bathroom was very dirty and smelly 3. The shower was equipped with energy saving lights, which turned itself automatically off after 2 minutes. Therefore, I always had to take a shower in a dark room 4 we paid 20€ more than other guests because we reserved the room on booking.Com
Review 26：Emma hostel is 10 minutes walk from the center, though I payed for a 8 bed room, I got a really spacious room of 5 beds - great place & amazing deal if you travel on a low budget, the kitchen is equipped, they provide free tea and coffee all day long, there are silent hours between 10 pm and 8 am, so you can rest and plan early wake-ups for day trips, also you can find touristic maps, books and leaflets about things to see or do in/around Prague. Highly recommend it!
Review 27：The atmosphere in the hostel. There are many travellers around all the time, it's a chance to meet great new people. Also the kitchen and the computer.

Review 34：The cleaner was really rude. We arrived early morning and wait to 2 p.m. (the time you can go to your room), but our room hasn't been done yet. I asked about it - we were really tired after all night in the train and all of waiting - and the claner shouted at the girl in the recption! And told mean comments - it wasn't nice as I undestand some Czech language.. But happilythe girl helped us on her own... The room and the area wasn't clean, last year was better - so maybe it's high time to hire new cleaner ;) Oh, and these time some of other guests behaved like animals - but it wasn't hostels' fault, it's only about culture of guests :)
Review 35：It was my second stay in Emma hostel. I liked the area - 10 minutes to Karl's bridge, 3 minutes to The Dancing House and river, lots of pubs, cafes, restaurants around. It's nice to have free coffee and tea in the kitchen. 4 wc's and 3 showers (you can close the door to have more private) are enough. The young girl from the reception was really helpful and nice - she can be the "card" of the hostel
Review 36：Staff a bit brusque, had to wait an extra hour and a half to enter room because of cleaning (despite arriving an hour after check-in opened for the day). Lots of stairs!

Review 46：The bathroom are all wet style and open with only a curtain, which means you may be seen by the others when you try to take off and on your clothes, not limited to girls in the toilet/bathroom. No lock at all. The bed is too shaky. I was waken by the person sleeping under me for at lease 5 times, which means I didn't sleep much. If you are looking for basic accommodations then it's a good place for you. If not then it's better to add a few more euros for a better place.

Review 49：Showering was a huge pain at the hostel. There are signs all over the place telling people not to leave their stuff unattended. However, there are no locks on the bathrooms for the showers. Anyone could just take your stuff technically...

Review 58：I stayed in a female four-bed dorm and I had problems to fall asleep. The room was not dark due to a broken shutter and the pillow was too thin. Also, they say that noise is not allowed from 10 pm, but there were very noisy people in the room next door, I could hear them talking and laughing. In general, the hostel does not give us the impression of the most clean and well maintained place. The bathrooms were sometimes very messy, with boys entering the girls bathroom, some toilet papers on the floor.

Review 60：No hot water. No elevator so I had to climb 3 floors. The heating is not warm enough... well, if it is really opened by the hostel. The beds are not really good and the 3 beds in my room are all bund beds. I think the price is not really worth it.
Review 61：Location is easy to find but Emma is in a corner. Some staff is really nice and introduced me an excellent Prague restaurant. There is a kitchen with oil and some sort of things that let people cook.
Review 62：The common area was a dim, damp, dirty space at the basement, we never used it. Generally speaking, we tried to stay oustide as long as possible, because staying there was awful. It happened a lot of times that the staff was absent, they just left a paper outside the shut door saying that they were gonna be back in 5 minutes, making us wait outside.

Review 66：I WAS MOVED DURING MY STAY INTO ANOTHER ROOM!!! The receptionist lady said "You MUST" instead of "Please"!!! Noisy place where you cannot sleep at all as the staff lady tells you that it is ridiculous that you wanna sleep at midnight, 1:00 AM or so!!!!! I got a room just beside the common area (kitchentte, club-room), so could not sleep at all because of the noise coming through door from that area and staff´s opinion is that it is normal that at 1:00 AM no one needs to sleep AND THAT IT IS MY PROBLEM THAT I NEED TO GET UP IN THE MORNING!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL TO ANYONE!!! In lobby / reception a marihuana smoke can be smelled. Sometimes you must wait above 15 minutes until staff member returns back to reception. which is unacceptable!!!!!
Review 67：Location price kitchenette available To be fair, some other staff members are great, explicitely I would like to appreciate Roman who is a real professional, handling everything at ease and understanding. More empleoyees like him are needed by this hostel.
Review 68：The cleaning left a bad smell in the bathrooms but it was well done. The bed was only a mattress in the floor and not very good. The receptionist was asleep at 7am when we had to check out.

Review 72：If you are a tourist and if you are not about to sleep on a street - don't book this place! Bad. Dirty. Stinky. Bed is too cheap and too uncomfortable. Bedlinen is older than my grandma. I had 5 Korean guys in my room (I'm a girl). Shower has windows, which cannot possibly close (in winter!!!). Well, you cannot close the door in shower. Only curtain. My boyfriend also asks to add that the bed was too short for him (he's 1.93m). In mens' shower there is no light, there is only a side light from a toilet, which lights the room a little, and even then this light switches off automatically after 5 minutes! Pubic hair in shower, dirty dishes on a shelf for clean ones... aaaaarrrrrgh! Strange people around.... Guys, that's not the atmosphere of hostel. It's the atmosphere of a place for homeless people. Don't go there.
Review 73：Book it only if you are in some real disaster with 5 Euro in your pocket. And even then you'll have to day deposit. The only thing which was perfect is wi-fi. Unlimited access, good connection.
Review 74：There is no place where you can cook. Just microwaves and boiling water, but you can't make toast in the morning cause there is no toaster. Plus, the only shared room is the bar in the lobby and there is not much space and the workers of the hostel needs to do both lobby stuff and bar stuff so when its crowded you can wait a long time for the boiling water you asked to Cook your pastas in the package you bought cause there is not even somme bowl or ustensils you can use.
Review 75：not comfortable bathroom and toilet one of the toilet have no toilet paper there is only one bathroom for the whole floor. bathroom is dark and i don't know how to turn on the light the locker is too small for my backpack. the sleeping bed seem not clean enough, but it is acceptable for me and my friend

Review 79：I really enjoyed the location of the Hostel, and that the staff were available at all hours of the night by knocking on the door of the front desk. The washroom was large, with three showers, and three toilets available. The hostel wasn't very clean and the rooms were a good size.
Review 80：excellent location, just 10 min walk from Karlovo namesti- the heart of Prague :) fully equipment kitchen, nice romos, free lockers in romos, -you even don´t need to put any coins, they give you the key, free deposit before check-in and after check-out (except the room you can use everything after check out- bathroom, kitchen (with free tea and coffe), computers with intenet or wifi, etc, and really nice and helpful staff, - strongly reccommended place, I will come back for sure, Magdalena, Poland/Spain
