Review 2：Very pretty hotel, botique, private, back from beach, outstanding pool,two bedroom suite standard, tours pick up at hotel,excellent, friendly staff, great place to relax.

Review 3：The bed was worn out and uncomfortable. The hot tub or spa was cold and when I inquired about getting the heat on so I could use it, I was informed that I would have to pay to heat it. They lost me at that point.

Review 21：it was a nice place,... but nice place if oyu go there during summer or you are a surfer The hotel location is close to the beach, however not like other hotels on the beach, which can be again adavantage as this way you re not disrupted by constant traffic, which must be horrible during summer. Rooms are rather apartments with an direct acces to the swimming pool and and whirpool. Its very nice. As for the rooms, was bit cold tehre and humid but thats most likely because of the season. During the summer I can imagine a nice stay there. In negatives I would also mentoned the location, but it was my fault. The hotel is qute of the city center s the most hotels on bookings.com are When looking to the map I did not check properly and initialy thought its not that bad. But it was. Therefore pls, make sure you have a car or at least bike. Walking is a pain. Oh and one thing, if you go La Serena only to stargaze dont go to La Serena at all. Its a waste of money. Im not saying its not nice but only to do that is not worth the bus ticket hotel costs or plain ticket... If you go in summer to enjoy the see do it :)

Review 22：The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere. So it's not easy to access the city center or any facilities nearby.

Review 24：No seating on balcony unless you drag out the dining room chairs which are very heavy. No laundry. In February,this is a family facility with lots of kids in the pool until late so if you want to hang out at the pool be sure to get a chair early and be prepared for noise.If you want peace and quiet, forget it. This hotel is at least 1K from the beach but not a bad walk in the day. but during the week day there were alot of big trucks roaring up and down the access road. Would not recommend walking this road at night. No bar or restaurant in the facility or near by.

Review 25：The owners were very nice and welcoming.The units were well equipped. Wi-Fi worked only in living room. The bedrooms are comfortable and bathroom were clean and plenty of towels. There is a balcony on the upstairs units big enough for two chairs. Compared to being near the beach, this place was quiet from the traffic noise at night.

We booked our trip through online booking.com and were pleasantly surprised that the pictures displayed on the internet matched what we saw when we arrived. Allan one of the front line staff at the hotel was fully bilingual in English and Spanish and was very prompt in answering my inquiries via e-mail prior to us arriving. The kitchen was well equipped with the essentials needed to cook for a family of 4 and the gas stove was new and easy to handle.We rented a small car at the La Serene Airport this allowed us to easily go shopping at the enormous Jumbo supermarket, go to restaurants,the beach in 5 minutes and go on day trips to the Elqui Valley, Coquimbo - Cross and other trips. Review 40：Although a few blocks from the beach this is a comfortable and friendly place. Our l2 bedroom apartment was spacious and looked out to the pool and central courtyard.

Review 48：As it is quite far to the nearest shops it would benefit from offering a welcome pack with some basics or an on site shop. Perhaps as we were there off season there was less on offer. You need to make sure the La Serena taxis know where it is too as we had to give most of them directions.

Review 59：Very, very pleasant. I like a small hotel -- and this has only 24 units--- all two bedroom / one bath with either a balcony or terrace. Theswimming pools, the hot tub and the rooms are all kept very clean. Thestaff was very considerate.Upon our departure, we found we had a flat tire. One of the staff changed it for us and took it to be repaired. MOST appreciated. You can walk to La Serena beach (about three or four blocks), but, if you have a car there are other MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL and CLEANER beaches within less than 1/2 hour drive. You should wander around La Serena, drive deep into the Valley -- oh, and go to the Japanese Garden === after Buenos Aires, best in South America. La Serena Dream Hotel was a great value -- and a great pleasure --- especially if you are traveling with children.
