Reviews for Hotel Weingut Dehren
Review 1:Excellent meal, the best so far after 3 weeks in Germany, complementedby a Riesling from the owner's vineyard. Safe parking in a garagefor our bike. Excellent breakfast. Owner very fluent in English as heworked at a Westin hotel in California for a year.
Review 2:The location is excellent. It is away from the business of Cochem and across from a cute village Beilstein. The owners are wonderful, taking care of everything. The food in the restaurant was really good...breakfast and dinner. We highly recommend this hotel. .
Review 3:It wasn't bad...just not that good. Hard to put a finger on why, small things that add up.
Review 4:Location is in a quiet village away from the more touristy spots.

Review 8:The only think we didn't like was having to leave.
Review 9:This laid back, relaxed family run hotel really suited us. As other reviews have said the food is excellent and the location superb. The local bus ticket deal if also fantastic to get around the area. Oh.... and the wine.........
Review 10:Parking is a bit tight and not the best I have witnessed, saying so the pluses made up for this minus.
Review 11:Staff were very friendly and the owner was very much 'Hands On'. Food was excellent and much more than one could cope with, Presentation was very good and always served hot. Good selection of wines, in all a very enjoyable weeks break in a excellent hotel, fully recommended.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:We liked the hotel for it's comfort, peace and quite, affordable cost, and convenience to Cochem. We also enjoyed the restaurant. The menu choices were excellent, prices affordable, and food absolutely delicious.
Review 14:It's 12 km from Cochem and since I like going to Cochem for theevening it's a little harder to get to. That's a personalcomplaint only. I should have stayed the evening in the hotel. :)
Review 15:This was a great experience for the two of us. The rooms were verycomfortable and clean. The meals served at the restaurant were verytasty. We both loved the wines. I stayed here before and will stay hereagain. It's alos off the main road and road noise was no issue. Thestaff is extremely friendly and makes you feel at ease while there.
Review 16:We stayed on this family run hotel on our long weekend vacation. Cochem was overbooked for that summer weekend so this hotel was one of the few options left. It is in a small village about 12 km far from Cochem. So it is quite remote to the wining and dining options of Cochem.I left the hotel with lots of disappointments. When we arrived the hotel, we noticed that the sofa bed was not made ready for our little boy (I had mentioned it on the booking form). I had booked a comfort double with a sofa bed. As I read from the child policy of the hotel, children under 6 years old can stay free using the existing beds. In my opinion, since there is no extra bed requested, our 4 years old child should have stayed free on the sofa bed. We asked the owner to put sheet and pillow for the sofa bed. Then started an argument! The wife of the owner told us they could do it for 25 Euro including the breakfast for the whole stay. However, we ended up paying euro 40 extra for extra sheet as opposed to lady`s word. Because we were charged 30E for sheets, 10E for breakfast for a little child. I did not want to argue with the owner once again for the extra over the invoice. I did not want to ruin my weekend holiday for 40 euro but in my opinion this is a greedy attitude of the hotel. If we did not ask for extra sheet, we would not have paid extra for breakfast. I did not use the restaurant, I did not want them earn more money from me. The people in leisure industry should know that a satisfied customer worth more.I travel a lot on a business or leisure reasons. These kind of problems are generally the case with the unprofessional family hotels. That`s why I always prefer big hotel chains. There are set rules and the management is more responsive to the client`s recommendations and requests. As a result, the negative points of this hotel are management and location. The room is sold with a view of Mosel River but there is no view but only trees and hill (from 1 st floor, room no 15).
Review 17:The positive point of the hotel is cleanliness of the room. I always check floors, tiles, sheets and I found it nearly spotless. The room is exactly the same as seen on professional pictures. The breakfast is OK, a few choices of cheese and ham.
Review 18:Nothing.
Review 19:Located in the middle Mosel area between Cochem and Zell. Friendly owners. Clean. Fantastic restaurant. Quiet rooms. Comfortable. Plus the house wines are very tasty.
