Reviews for Hotel Lunajuim
Review 1:The radiator in our room was on full...it was a bit too hot for us. The food in the restaurant is poor -- much better to go out for a meal. Overall, the hotel seemed quite expensive for what it was, but nothing in Patagonia is cheap!
Review 2:Staff very pleasant and helpful. Big, clean rooms. Location's fine (although El Chalten is so small it doesn't really matter). Nice lounge area.
Review 3:the staff was awesome -- especially Vanessa! super helpful and friendly. they stored all my stuff while I was in the back country for four days and had great tips for stuff in town. the location is perfect! and the accommodation are simple but exactly everything needed.
Review 4:breakfast was acceptable but could have been better. They did not have eggs (only available at extra cost), and fruit (or dried fruit) would have been nice
Review 5:clean, comfortable, beautiful dining room
Review 6:hotel pretend to be high upper class hotel and is definitely overvalued. breakfast ist average like the rest. there is no "south-america hotel" excuse. for the price I paid I can expect more quality in everything. internet performance zero
Review 7:the spot around the fireplace was quiet nice and about the bed I can not claim especially I have almost 2 m and I fit inside
Review 8:The room had a light odor of mouldiness, but it was clean.
Review 9:I have never experienced such a front office personel so willing to take care of any request any time of the day and always with a SMILE up to the ears! Its not only great as a feeling but also very practical for the guest! The breakfast was nice and above the average Argentinian standards. The mountain peaks were visible from the lobby, which is very cosy. Our room was nice and with a spacious bathroom. I dont rate the WiFi becasue it is lousy everywere in Chalten. Right in the center of the village, 10min form the bus station, in the midle of all the restaurants (max 5min walk) The hotel is very-very quiet. I will come back.
Review 10:the hotel was much pricier than another place of similar quality that we stayed in the area.
Review 11:we LOVED the helpful service at the front desk and tasty breakfast.
Review 12:Great location in town with a close walk to all restaurants, bars and the start of the main trails. The staff have all the info you need to get you walking to amazing sights. Breakfast was good and relaxed (there was no rush to kick you out at 10am if you were still needing another coffee or snack)
Review 13:Initially the temperature in the room was very, very warm. In the hotel rules, they request you not to completely close the heaters, but if you just go out and ask, they allow you to. So in fact also a plus.
Review 14:We had a pleasant large room in the hotel. Well prepared for travelers by offering multiple 'suitcase stands'. Very helpfull staff that speaks English very well.
Review 15:Nothing.
Review 16:Roxana, and front staff went out of their way to make our 4 days there wonderful. their rec omen dating for restaurants, coffee shops, also what was happening. Locally within the town.. We felt right At home, ,, a great fire blazing in the fire place , when the wind was howling outside...
Review 17:Poor wifi signal.
Review 18:The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Adrienne.
Review 19:Wifi was not great but this is true for the area and not just the hotel
Review 20:Staff were very friendly and helpful - they really went out of their way.
Review 21:I liked the breakfast but something more substantial like eggs should be included
Review 22:The staff. They were lovely and so helpful
Review 23:Lack of WIFI. Breakfast ordinary.
Review 24:Wonderful location, very helpful and friendly staff, provided a packed lunch. Very cozy seating area.
Review 25:restaurant overpriced and poor quality
Review 26:cosy sitting area, personal very friendly and helpful
Review 27:Confort of the room a little poor
Review 28:Welcome
Review 29:Location, staff, hospitality, breakfast
Review 30:Average quality fittings etc. No bath plug.
Review 31:Great service
Review 32:Rooms need updating, especially in terms of lighting.
Review 33:Staff was very friendly & helpful. Restaurant was excellent for dinner, very good for breakfast, packed lunches good. Bathroom very nice.
Review 34:I liked everything especially the fireplace to sit at night.
Review 35:The front desk gave me over an hour of their time trying to straighten out another reservation in another location. They advised us on trails and hikes. Great Hotel for advice and travel help. They could not have been nicer!!!!
Review 36:Nothing, but we were in a superior room: the standard rooms look rather small. Also the hotel was nearly empty, so there was no crowding in the eating and sitting areas.
Review 37:A colourful hotel with numerous funky features by the artist owner. Delightful sitting area around a large fireplace, with aromatic log fires on cool evenings. A central location in wonderful El Chalten.
Review 38:breakfast was mostly pastries (typical for area). suggestion: it would be lovely to have hot water available all day for tea
Review 39:quiet, beautiful location. staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. bed was comfortable and the room was simple but spacious and clean.
Review 40:Though the staff is friendly and the breakfast fine it shows as an hostel turned into a hotel which in our opinion is certainly overpriced.
Review 41:The location in beautiful El Chalten.
Review 42:I honestly think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. The room was tiny, just a cement square which was fine but just seems overpriced.
Review 43:Terrific service, friendly and very helpful. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Overall a good find.
Review 44:The service is one of the best I have experienced - the owners were ever so helpful. All in all a nice place to rest weary legs after a hard day's hiking.
Review 45:El Chalten is expensive. Lunajuim is no exception. Accomodation is very basic, more on the level of a hostel than on the level of a hotel. Anywhere else you would expect a lot more for this price.
Review 46:A very friendly and helpfull staf, nicely located in the front end of the village. Breakfast is good, and restaurant has anice atmosphere.
Review 47:I think El Chaten is expensive compared to other towns in Argentina. This hotel is also more expensive compared to similar places in other towns. I guess its not their fault, but its still something to consider while booking in El Chaten.
Review 48:Loved the location, the staff. The food was also amazing.
Review 49:Very friendly staf, speaking english and france besides spanish. Goodroom, good food. Nice restaurant/lounge to sit by the open fireplace (open haard). We felt very, very welcome!
Review 50:Nothing. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 51:I was down with a cold and the staff (Ingrid, in particular) were very caring and helpful, bringing me hot tea and even lending me a scarf to keep warm. The owner Carlos came to pick us up from the bus station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the in-house restaurant was excellent and great value for money. Comfy couches in the dining room and a nice book collection added to a very pleasant stay. Wifi was only available in the common areas but El Chalten is a tiny town so I'm surprised it gets much bandwidth at all.
Review 52:No coffee or tea facilities in the bedroom. Bathroom flooded, beware taking too long a shower. Opposite building site, Breakfast a bit disappointing, no fresh fruit. Maybe a bit overpriced for the end of low season.
Review 53:Staff great, very helpful. Views of the mountains still there if you can try and block the building site from your vision. Cosy area to sit and read and chat. Beds super comfy.
Review 54:Weak coffee. Limited fresh fruit at breakfast. Weak wi-fi, but probably hotel is doing its best in this remote location.
Review 55:super nice and helpful staff: Ingrid, Roxy, and Eduardo. Nice central location in town. Nice breakfast/dinner/lounge area with fireplace. Complementary pick up from airport. Great shower/bath. Bright hallway colors. great comfy bed
Review 56:The location of the hotel currently suffers from new hotel constructions surrounding it blocking its marvelous (historic)views on Fitzroy. The room was fairly small
Review 57:Very friendly staff giving a lot of information, ideas and help. Breakfast was good although not as extensive as published on the booking.com site.
Review 58:The hotel has a quirky style and comfortable communal area. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were bright and comfortable. Reasonably priced lunch box was available to take on treks.
Review 59:Roanna provide 5 stars hotel services for all the guest. By the moment you enter into the hotel, she greets your name, from that moment onward, she is taking care of you throughout you stay in El Chalten. I lost my return bus ticket and she fixed it for me. An American couple arrived the hotel behind schedule, she made a call to the hotel they stayed for the previous night to check if they are ok. Roanna, you are the angel of us, so nice to meet you! You brightened my journey in Argentina. Excellent breakfast!
Review 60:The hotel part itself isn't as cosy as I was expecting, it felt a bit like it used to be a hostel that's been done up. They're doing some renovation work at the moment so during the day there was a fair bit of building noise and they only seem to be using part of the hotel (we were there off-season) at the far end of one wing. The lounge has a huge fireplace but it wasn't lit at all whilst we were there, which was a real shame - it was definitely cold enough!
Review 61:The room was spacious and had a big, comfy bed. The shower was very powerful! Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but no complaints. The lounge/bar area was really nice with sofas and plenty of books to read and art on the walls was a nice touch. Staff were helpful and friendly, and it was good to get a lift to the bus station even though it's centrally located. Overall good value for money.
Review 62:Room rates were very overpriced for what was provided. The man working at the reception during the evenings wasn't the friendliest.
Review 63:There was a very nice woman who worked at the reception in the mornings. She was extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. If it wasn't for her I would rate the service lower. Beds were clean and comfortable, and the location was very close to the restaurants and bars. Free shuttle service to the bus station was nice too.
Review 64:No fly screen on the windows. We visited during an unusually hot timeand there was no way of keeping the bugs out and breeze in. I dont thinkmany places use fly screen in south America though... They should! It'sa wonderful invention! :)
Review 65:Really lovely hotel. In a great location and has some interesting designfeatures to it. Was very comfortable and a great price. Would defiantlystay there again if I was in the area.

Review 82:Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and clean rooms.Relaxing and comfortable lounge with view and fireside armchairs.
Review 83:Great breakfast Complementary shuttle to bus depot Very helpful front desk Very comfortable bed, nice linens. Room very small
Review 84:The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in a hotel.
Review 85:Room facilities, decoration, hotel was half in construction, small beds
