Review 1：The receptionist haven't been very forthcoming in giving infos upon arrival (wifi password, free bus tickets, ...), but we managed to get all information just asking.

Review 2：Hotel overlooking the lake. Bus stop just outside the door, free tickets after filling in a form the reception gave us. 10 mins by bus to thr city centre. 1-minute walk to the Therme (full day around €10). Free wifi working fine in the room.

Review 8：This hotel located in calm place. Just 3 minutes walk to 'Boden See', and 2 minutes to 'Therme'. These area's lake is more calm and beautiful than Konstanz city side.(I recommend to walk from hotel to city besides Lake - take 30-40 min) And Therme was really nice. you can also get 10% discount coupon at hotel reception. Hotel was small but clean, nice staff, good wifi connection in the room, normal breakfast with scramble eggs/bacon/wurst...has small bar. It took 15 Min by bus from Konstanz BF. the bus stop is just in front of hotel. If you want 'night life', hotel in the city is better. However if you want just relax, Strongly recommend this hotel.

Review 17：Staff was nice, friendly vs. bicyclist. Nice place to park our bicycles. When it stared to rain, all guests were easyly "transferred" to indor facilities. Very flexible.

Review 18：Waldhaus Jakob could't accommodate us because of water-damage in the room, so they sent us across the road to the Nikolai Torkel hotel across the road. Apart from this inconvenience, the second hotel was of inferior quality: worse location, difficult parking, no wifi, difficult stairs to upper floor, aggressive staff.

Review 22：The apartment we rented was very comfortably furnished but far too hot the first night we stayed there. Mosquito nets at all of the windows would have helped. Breakfast at 11 euro per head was poor value. We arrived late in the service but very little was left or replenished.

Review 23：We loved the location and the fact you could stroll down to the lake. The pathway to Constanz ran along the lakeside and was very pretty. There was a good bus route and the the restaurant was placed nicely amongst the trees which we appreciated in the heat. Good value for money generally and easy parking.

Review 30：We had to pay extra for all the activities. On the website it seems as tho mini golf and some other activities are a part of the hotel, they are not. They are all extra costs. There is no air conditioning/fans in the bedrooms, the rooms got very stuffy. Also there was no fan in the bathroom.

The weather wasn't the only problem - not that is down to the hotel The rooms were dated and small especially the minute bathroom. Dinner was average. Review 37：Easy to find and excellent (and free) bus route to the town centre. The facilities nearby are excellent, a bathing complex, parks and beach volley ball is popular. Some lovely lakeside walks, good for a young family.

Review 42：This hotel seems to be a going concern in the high season,with a massive beer garden and plenty of activities. Great location on the shores of Lake Constance, with a large selection of rooms and a great hot breakfast, which was a wonderful change from cereal, cold cuts and cheeses. The lovely lady at the desk loaned us her personal fan as we are Canadian,and were very hot after a long days driving. Bless her!!

Review 53：The restaurant in the hotel is contracted out to another company. We were nearly salted to death by one dish; the kitchen obviously has never tasted it's work. The other choice from the menu was, "Truffle Mushroom Tagliatelle," that had no truffle; after spreading the dish out on the cake plate on which the pasta was served only common white mushroom were found. Truffle oil...a bit. Salt...OH YES. Our Prosecco was flat. The saving grace was the heavy pour of very good Grappa. Our two grappa totalled-out on the bill at 27.20 Euro. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are small even by European standards but the location is perfect. A great quiet winter location on the lake.

Review 107：When we arrived we were welcomed warmly. We had booked a room with a view of the lake, but were offered and accepted a free upgrade to a family suitewith a view of the woods. This is a friendly European hotel on Lake Konstanz. It has a back garden with comfortable tables and chairs overlooking the lake. A very nice breakfast is included in the rate. The bus to town stops across the street. We stayed two nights but if our schedule had allowed, we would have stayed longer.

Review 130：The images on booking.com would have you believe that there is a pool and decking overlooking the lake at the Waldhaus Jakob. These facilities do not exist; they are close by but not part of the hotel and cost extra. The room was very tired and dated (even the larger one we saw was similarly furnished) and rather smelly. The smell (animals?) didn't disappear even when the window was left open all day/night. Bathroom was not user friendly with very high step around perimeter of shower making entry/exit a rather risky business. Service from the bar/restaurant, run separately from the hotel, was somewhat unprofessional though the staff themselves were friendly enough once we found a common language - Italian. The hotel is definitely overpriced compared with others we have stayed at this summer.

Review 131：The receptionist was very friendly taking the time to show us two rooms, one large and the other smaller but with a view of the lake, so that we could take our pick. We chose the smaller with the view of the lake. The hotel is close to the lake's edge with a very pleasant walk along its shore to the city. The free bus was welcome for the return journey though!

Review 132：Cramped room and bathroom. In one bedroom, small windows restricted ventilation but had no curtains so light woke us up very early. It was very stuffy in the rooms. Staff were not friendly and the internet connection was useless. Very expensive for what it was.

Review 134：Very dirty. We even found some brown sticky thing stick in the hotel explanation folder, presented in the table at the room. I asked the receptionist whether it is a chocolate or sh...t? We both hoped it was a chocolate. Only one set of towels and one pilow, one duvet although we were a couple. Thanks to the young lady in the reception who brought the other set. She was very polite and even offered us to get 2 free drinks from the mini bar which is only in the "reception" (not in the rooms). We didn't accept it but her kindness was good. In the morning the other staff was not smiling. The spa is not related with the hotel. I asked and learned from the reception that you pay additionally to that spa company. Photos at booking is very charming but you cannot feel the same when you arrive. The hotel windows was too small and rooms are very very old. Bed is also. All furnitures. Feels like dirty and dark as well. Sorry but that was what we felt frankly. The only good side was the restaurant staff, Frau Melahat Salmanli and her husband. Very charming and friendly. No wi-fi reception from the bed side of the room. Only it received the signals when you are close to the room door. Room was too small and the bed occupied all the living space.

Not too bad but the price was flying in the skies when compared to what you get at the end of the day. Only to be in Konstanz was perfect. Not the hotel unfortunately.
