Reviews for Lo de Trivi
Review 1:Super tiny 4 bed room without lockers for backpacks. So with all the backpacks on the floor it was impossible to stand for 4 people in the room at the same time. Overheated bathrooms. Too much room scent in use. Staff is gone most of the time. No hot water and no water pressure after 10 pm. Electric shock from the fridge!
Review 2:Free bike rental, staff reminded people to be silent after 10pm, fast laundry
Review 3:Staff doesn't really speak English Cleaning staff clean the toilets and kitchen first thing in the morning when it is in fact the busiest time of the day - not really helpful Locker in room is extremely small - you can't even put a small backpack in
Review 4:Spacious kitchen and dining area Close to supermarket (although very small and shelves often emptied) Close to trail start for Laguna Del Lo tres
Review 5:this hostel is really rundown. the dorm rooms and the lockers are small and crowded. the toilets don't flush and the hallways stunk. And, it felt dirty everywhere. I don't know how it is even receiving an 8.5 rating.
Review 6:It was a little hustle to go outside to go to the kitchen area to my room in the windy raining day and chilly night. Internet connection was not working well. No breakfast, thus no free coffee or tea bag available all the time.
Review 7:The heaters running well and keeps warm in public area, such as in bathroom. I was lucky that there was no other person using the 3 bed domitory room that night. But if there are full capacity of people, the room may be a little small.
Review 8:Owner didn't speak much English but was friendly. No breakfast included, but that was common in El Chalten.
Review 9:Very large space available to eat, watch tv and cook 24 hours a day. Lockers available in dorms for valuables. Lots of bathrooms available and places to dry wet clothes.
Review 10:In dorm the upper bed is too low and when you stay in the lower bed, you have to be carefull to your head.
Review 11:Very large and well equiped kitchen Staff very nice but they don't speak English Very clean and calm
Review 12:The staff weren't really that helpful or that friendly. The three person dorm is so tiny that you are literally sleep on top of each other.
Review 13:kitchen facilities were superb. Two kitchens, and lots of space for two to three people to work. There is also a spacious living area with lots of tables and a TV.
Review 14:We booked a twin for 6 nights when arrived found we had been put in a tiny double room for the first night, no choice but for 1 of us to sleep on the floor! After we got in the intended room everything was a lot better, large room etc. It is a basic hostel and everything is on the simple side, the room + bathroom was not that clean but okay. Kitchen facilities are great. WiFi is slow but gets there.
Review 15:Dorm rooms are rather small, but manageable
Review 16:Great congenial atmosphere, we met lots of other travellers here. Big communal dining area with a huge shared kitchen. Good location within walking distance of the bus station and very close to the mountains for day hikes.
Review 17:All great
Review 18:Nice, bug rooms we a small locker. Supermarket very close and all the attractions are in the street. Wifi is pretty bad all over chalten but in this hostel it was one of the good one's. No breakfast bus you can easily cook for youself. Good cooking facilities.
Review 19:Nothing really!
Review 20:nicest hostel ive stayed in for a long time. Quiet, clean, huge kitchen and nicely laid out chilling areas..rooms vary greatly though, i was moved during my stay and the first room (in the main building was tiny and with wobbly beds, second room was huge and with cofy, sturdy wooden beds.
Review 21:The rooms are quite small with tiny lockers. The wifi was extremley slow.
Review 22:Good price for dorm beds. Simple and effective accommodation. Good kitchen and common room.
Review 23:the dorm room is hot during the day so have to stay at common area if you want to rest
Review 24:Big kitchen and common area, in between of two trekking entrances
Review 25:Toilets could be cleaner.
Review 26:Very good matrasses! Clean sheets. Nice location with several places to hang around, eat or make plans. Good value for money.
Review 27:Wifi was extremely slow. Shower barrier was low and prone to flooding the bathroom floor.
Review 28:Large, well equipped kitchen. Double room was large and spacious. Friendly staff. Close to supermarket and town.
Review 29:It misses a nice living room area the onein the kitchen could be with more comfort...
Review 30:Nice staff, big kitchen, clean rooms and sheets and they had a baby sheep running around the hostel :) ...
Review 31:thin wall, you can hear the upper floor walking
Review 32:nice staff, wifi strong in common area, hot shower, everyday clean the room
Review 33:Little english spoken
Review 34:clean and comfortable
Review 35:Spacious and comfortable living room and kitchen, the facilities are great!!
Review 36:hostel stuff speaks absolutely no english
Review 37:hostel facilities and almost everything
Review 38:The kitchen is like a professional kitchen! Dorms are little cabins - really cute. And veryyy warm! Common room is very big and warm!
Review 39:Dorms a bit on a small side and the ones at the back way too hot!
Review 40:Close to the supermarket, great kitchen and great views!
Review 41:I felt like at home!
Review 42:wi-fi was useless.
Review 43:Friendly
Review 44:Pleasant staff, comfortable beds, spacious dorms, wifi ok most of the time, well equipped kitchen - a well run hostel. I would stay here again.
Review 45:Coffee was 3 euros
Review 46:Location. Its right next to the entrance of the mount fitz roy. Staff were nice.
Review 47:Great value, lovely staff
Review 48:We were lucky to get beds in a room in the main building, but many of the other rooms seemed to be built into shipping containers.. can't be very comfortable in there!
Review 49:The common kitchen is huge and the lobby area is well maintained.
Review 50:Internet very slow, but was not expecting any sort of connection in El Chalten
Review 51:Very welcoming hostel, comfortable room and large common areas. Great location only a few hundred metres from trailhead and facilities to dry wet gear.
Review 52:Need to take advantage of the great views in the common dining area by putting some couches and lounge chairs. Use the great space and windows.
Review 53:The place is a good value and located near the trailheads. The supermarket is across the street and it's easy to get around. The ladies kept the common areas clean and tidy. The kitchen facility and dining area met my needs, but needs more refridgerator space.
Review 54:The dorms were cramped, there were no lockers (!!) - in a town whereeverybody heads out on all-day hikes-, we had one plug for four peoplein the tiny dorm, no space to hang towels or even enough room for fourbackpacks. Considered moving into a private room, but they were inshipping containers and we refused to pay us$50 to stay in a shippingcontainer! Only dorm where I ever had to make my own bed (sheets, etc). Not particularly clean. Internet was patchy.
Review 55:Liked the spacious kitchen in the second building. That's about it.
Review 56:Very small dorm with hardly any space for the luggage of 3 backpackers. Ask for a dorm with lockers, otherwise you will have to bother the staff each time you want to get your valuables!
Review 57:Helpful staff
Review 58:It is a wooden cabin which is like sleeping in a tent. Very cold at night, one blanket and the heating did not work. And you hear your neighbours talk as if they are standing in your room. We had bad luck with a very noisy group surrounding us...
Review 59:It was the only place with a room that period of time.... if you like camping, you will like it I guess. But it is not a camping price moneywise....
Review 60:Instead of a single room with private bathroom I received a single roomwith shared bathroom. These "rooms" are actually in shipcontainers which are just simply separated by a very thin wall. So,although alone in the room there is no privacy, as you could heareverything the neighbours were talking or doing. So, instead of payingfor these more expensive private rooms rather take the dorms... They aremuch cheaper and probably less noisy. Setting the heating was alsotricky... It either turned too hot or too cold, so it's probablyeasier to regulate the heating by opening/closing the window. Staffonly Spanish speaking.
Review 61:Have free WiFi. Apply good exchange rate (usd/ars). Close to thetrack heads of 2 best trails in the area.
Review 62:Location was excellent. Good common room.
Review 63:great staff, great amenities.
Review 64:Well designed inn with spacious kitchen and common area, as well as cozy private rooms and bathrooms.
Review 65:Internet is a bit slow
Review 66:A very welcoming, friendly place. Roomy kitchen areas and great views of the surrounding mountains
Review 67:I expected little better place.
Review 68:The private room was very basic.
