The Gästehaus Centro is in an art nouveau building across from the Konstanz train station. Rooms feature a modern design, and some offer views of the lake. Spacious apartments are also available.

Review 1：When I put my sign outside the door noting the cleaners to not disturb me, they still banged in the door and spoke to me in German which I could not understand. Blankets could have been a bit larger and thicker.

Review 2：The room was well heated and would heat up very quickly. Bed was comfy, nice food for breakfast, excellent wifi, and I also got a free travel ticket to use on the buses in Konstanz which was quite good as a tourist.

Review 5：The only surprise of our two night stay was on arrival, in that the hotel is atop a large McDonalds restaurant. However, this wasn't an issue during the stay. Overall, the hotel was fine for our stay but I did feel that €115 a night was a little high for the standard offered and if you're in a room facing the bahnhof, the sound insulation is not good enough to stop the bus and train noise at 6am.

Review 6：We stayed here to visit the excellent Konstanz Christmas Market. We stayed in a 'Comfort Double' room at the front of the hotel and the room was clean, warm and the bed comfortable. The hotel is quite basic but everything was adequate and, as I say, clean and comfortable. The en-suite was quite small but all in working order.

Review 7：Rather small bath room and room itself was compact. Wall lights by bed were way too bright (no covers/shades) , hard to position and got very hot to the touch.

Review 8：Terrific location..directly across the street from train station, directly above a McDonald's and across from a REALLY great pastry and doughnut shop. Just down the block from a modern multi-level theatre and shopping complex one way and a huge allstat square the other. A few minute walk pass cafes and shops to the docks at Lake Konstance which were very nice with tour cruises and MORE cafes and shops. Additional short stroll to the SEA LIFE AQUATIC attraction.A pleasant breakfast buffet was also provided with no charge. Would stay there again when in that area. Highly recommend!

Review 27：The wif-fi was terrible, we could connect for about 10 seconds at a time. The beds were not uncomfortable but the slats under the mattress were damaged so the bed was very creaky and if we sat on the end of the bed, we almost disappeared into the bed. Lack of air conditioning. We were aware this when we booked the room but the temperature when we were in Konstanz was 35-37c and it was extremely uncomfortable. There was a ceiling fan but it was just too hot.

Review 29：The rooms front of the station are very noisy. The hotel provides earplugs to the rooms but these are not enough. Not especially the trains but the bus station, the traffic and the street is very loud. Ezért az árért nevetséges füldugóval aludni.

The rooms are spacious (and I've seen most of the rooms on the second floor) and well-equipped. We liked the windows - made the room very airy. Wifi was great! Breakfast was basic but very decent. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We could not have chosen a better place.

However, 'view of the lake' actually mean 'view of the railway station' and if you open the window because it's hot then you're basically inside the station listening to the announcements. Avoid those rooms. There is no air conditioning which is basically a disaster when it's summer and you're inside the roof. German desk personnel were a bit surly, though non-natives were fine. Breakfast was so-so but did have a balcony with a good view of the skip where the McDonalds under the hotel put its trash, and its subsequent collection every day during breakfast hours. I'm not quite sure where the third star came from. I probably would not have objected to the place at half the price.

Review 69：Our family of four (two teen daughters) stayed at the Gastehaus Centro just a few weeks ago. It was a corner two bdrm suite and was more than large enough for the 4 of us. Walking distance to the main center of the walking fun part of town.
