Reviews for Hotel Hohenzollern

Review 1:This was the only hotel in 10 booked that had a lift - regrettably not in the wing we were allocated! This proved a common problem in Germany

Review 2:Staff were very friendly - even when busy

Review 3:Small window and therefore it was dark in my room. No view from the window thin walls so you can hear everything from the hall

Review 4:Calm place Radio in the room Big room Good breakfast

Review 5:It is an older property in need of general TLC

Review 6:Great breakfast, while the place is older, and furnishings and ambience shows its age, everything was in working order, and offered great value for the money.

Review 7:Sehr gutes Fruehstueck and nettes Personal.

Review 8:Street noice

Review 9:The lokal food was good. The interior was totally outdated, but interesting to see!

Review 10:Squeky beds

Review 11:Nice friendly staff, excellent breakfast (and dinner), clean rooms, hotel's nice aquariums which were kids' favourite

Review 12:Room was very dark - hotel generally geared to coach parties and less suited to individuals/ couples

Review 13:bacon and scrabbled egg would be nice at breakfast

Review 14:it was nice, also for the dog !

Review 15:Why isn't it possible to pay with (they say) a foreign pinpass? I've seen that often in Germany.

Review 16:A very good breakfast people!

Review 17:Some parts of the hotel needs renovation

Review 18:Nice quiet location

Review 19:The breakfastroom/reception/bar

Review 20:When I arrived I thought the owner(a man) was not very welcoming qnd just about helpful.

Review 21:My room and the breakfast. The hotel itself needs a bit of renovation to the downstairs rooms, but the bedrooms and bathroom are newly decorqted and good. Restaurant staff friendly.

Review 22:Old rooms, strong noise, hot rooms. Price is too expensive compared to the service level.

Review 23:It is acceptable but only for one night. Good parking opprtunity, good location

Review 24:smoking was allowed inside the 'foyer.' A comfy area with sofa and easy chairs. If smokers came in, this is where they would sit. I had to change my single room as the machinery during the night outside the room was awful - when you hit the pillow. All night. There is a garage opposite, some of it may have come from there or the all night fridge in the kitchen. May be ok for a one night stand, but not 11 nights. last but not least - NO SAFE BOX to leave valuables. Maybe it is because things aren't safe anyway. Had to ask the manager to look after it. Not helpful with directions to the hotel. All I received by email, was that it was 4 Kilometres from the railway station. Their website only shows how to come by car/coach. Perhaps this is why. It is walkable from the station if of reasonable fitness with a not TOO heavy wheely suitcase. Buses stop after 5'ish, there was no-one about at the station after this time. I lost my big google street map (enlarged) so I couldn't see where to go. Good thing I speak german, so Bahnhof Strasse was bound to lead me to a town centre somewhere - on foot!!!!!!!! We walked from the hotel to the staion via a very pretty scenic route which didn't take us too long - the direct route when you know it. This is me with a wrist in plaster so only one handed to drag the suitcase.

Review 25:pleasant staff. good manager. good food. good local beer. Delightful tiny garden.

Review 26:Staff speak english badly.

Review 27:This is a very nice hotel with good roooms and breakfast. It is placed not far from center of the town.

Review 28:Stay away from the restaurant

Review 29:Friendly Staff

Review 30:Noise from the street, close to a hospital with many ambulances

Review 31:Friendly staff, reasonable price, good breakfast

Review 32:People smoking in the lobby , breakfast was very poor the whole place smells stale.

Review 33:Leaving it...

Review 34:Budget Hotel for a short break
