Review 1：Very nice hotel to stay in Konstanz! We arrived at about 9pm due to the traffic jam, and the lovely lady at the reception gave us a very detailed introduction and show me the guarage very patiently. Clean and tidy room with a well-equipped bathroom Free car park + paid guarage Walk distance to the Bodensee
Review 2：Very noisy at night, staff (presumably) were in the backyard noisy until 1.30am. Windows and blinds and ear plugs did not protect.

Review 4：No elevator, staff not well trained, bad location (too far from anything of interest), very bad internet connection (worked only *in* the closet), internet connection requires printed receipt w/ username and password. A nearby pedestrian bridge was closed for the day and we weren't told by the hotel, meaning that we had to circle around. The room was very small, with barely enough space to move around. The bed was not comfortable. Overall, your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Review 8：I was travelling with a 4 months baby and we were given a 4th floor room with no elevator; The room was too small to have a crib or baby bed so he had to sleep on our bed; Small bathroom and no proper windows; Being the top floor and with no AC, the room just got to hot resulting on the baby crying and not sleeping until around 4AM. Hotel restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday.

Review 19：Located right off of bus #6, which easily took me to all of my tourist sites. Switch to bus #4 or #5 and no problem. Extremely helpful staff, friendly and made me feel welcomed. Excellent on premise resturant, gourmet dinner, best breakfast of my travels.

Review 27：I stayed at the 4th floor, but no elevators. I choose the hotel based on the photos on booking, but the room seemed very tiny in reality, I had to be very careful when getting up from bed, because I could easily touch the ceiling with my head. Although it was marked Wifi free, the network didn't work at all, nor with my smart phone, neither with my notebook or tablet. Very dissapointed and the price was very high, comparing with conditions offered.

Review 32：The internet wi-fi of the hotel was not working and I had to activate 3G to be able to see the trekking routes I would like to do (which costed a lot of money as I had to pay roaming from Switzerland). The hotel could have given discount for this failure, as in the website it was written that all rooms had internet, but did not give any discount. The front desk attendant did not care about my problem, did not - or pretended not to - understand my english (how can that be possible in a hotel?) and was not interested in helping me, in fact she treats me in a very bad way.

Review 65：The advertised internet was "out of action all week". My single room was tiny - it felt more like a prison cell. I went out leaving a "do not disturb" sign on the door but staff still went into my room. And although there were very many TV channels but all except CNN were in German.

Review 69：Very unfriendly stuff. We booked the parking spot, and actually it was the main criteria of choosing a hotel. But when we arrived, we found out that all parking is already occupied. So we had to look for a parking spot around, which is very difficult to find.
Review 70：No lift, not convenient to carry big luggage but I think the staff would be more than willing to help if you are not able to do so. We thought the set up of the double bed was weird, which was made up of two single beds with a separation in between. And the extractor fan in the toilet was very noisy. It was quite warm in the room, despite the cool April evenings, we had to open the window, thankfully it was not very noisy, managed to have good sleep on both nights. It is not in the city, though not too far away, but we might try somewhere else in the city center to be closer to shops and restaurants if we are returning again next time. Konstanz is a very lovely town.
Review 71：Check in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Room was clean and adequate, bed was comfortable enough. Location was not right in the city, but we were given free bus passes to travel to city center, which is 5 minutes across the bridge. Take bus number 6 at the bus stop at the side of hotel. Food at the restaurant run by the hotel was good, we had dinner there on both nights that we were staying there, one was because the food was good enough to return again, on the other hand it was not easy to find other place to eat near there. Breakfast was excellent, very good value, enjoyed it very much.

Shoe cleaning machine had run out ofcream therefore pointless.

The room I had booked was advertised as a "small" single but it was perfectly adequate for my needs and had all the facilities of any of the other rooms. The breakfast choice was varied. The Hotel itself is set away from busy roads and so was reasonably free from outside noise.

One of the Breakfast staff (blonde hair has worked there 2 months) was very abrupt and dismissive in her manner during breakfast. The breakfast selection is excessive. The waitresses are rushing around so the place feels uncomfortable.

Theowner,a big woman, is so rude, impolite and with absolutely no manners.The staff is a group of girls who are afraid of the owner. Theenvironment makes you feel you are in jail. It is far from the city, youmust walk or take a bus. Toooo expensive for what you get . You can findbetter places near the historic center at better prices.

Luckily, I had a friend in another room who was able to lend a hand, but I wish I had known earlier. Also, it would have been nice for them to have provided a name and number of a taxi company during off-hours (they have a wall of tourist info, so it's an easy thing to add). All in all, though, a very nice experience.

Also, the staff indicated that our booking.com reservation did not include parking...I produced the reservation to prove that we had paid. The hotel is located on a dead end street and parking is extremely limited. The walk to the old town is about 15 minutes...not too bad, but would not be easy for people who found walking a bit challenging.

Quite cold, they helped you but just answered your questions, not additional help or information, not even a smile (to be fair, one of the girls was more agreable). I had bad luck with my room, probably other rooms haven't this problem but mine was really noisy. I was given the room just in front of the door that connected the stairs to the ground floor (no lift); everybody who went up and down, luggage included, did it though this door, so it was quite difficult to sleep because you were always hearing noises of voices, steps, the door closing...

Review 111：I arrived on Fri and left on Monday. Friday they had a storm which took out the hot water system. Cold showers for 3 days when it is cold is not fun. I feel a motel this size should have been able to find a solution. A language barrier prevented me from reading posted signs and when I asked the staff appeared to get defensive. Things go wrong I accept but it's the way it's handled by the management that's the difference.

Review 118：The internet connection was very bad, althought they said to me, that it should be perfect and that they are paying a lot of money to internet service provider. Then please switch the internet provider, cause internet connection is really bad and that is very disturbing especially if you are on business trip, as I was, but I think also if you are just making holidays. The rooms are very beautiful, but there is no air conditioning. I tried to sleep at open window, but it was still very hot! And also the quality of mattress is not very good, it is time to buy new one. Otherwise hotel is very good, worth choosing, but this 3 factors should be improved immidiatelly.

Review 122：The room was impeccable, the staff amazing, the beds were very comfortable and a great location for us as we were visiting my son who is attending the University of Konstanz. It is also very close to the Old City which made it easy to see both sides. The breakfast was exceptional. We had dinner there one evening and it, too, was excellent. We had a wonderful stay.

Review 125：Disaster Stay. Check-in ontime with the very old,dark room with thecooking smell. Nothing matched with the introduction in the website. Youcan't open your window as the bus station is just in front of it. Bignoise, even can't sleep at all. Ask for changing the room, thereceiptnist told me that she can't be in charge for this changing, weneed to wait till next morning. The next morning, we asked again forchanging, they told me that they only have this room as all rooms areoccupied. We eventually figure out the only reason. My honeymoon hadbeen ruined totally. They pretend that they understand, but with noaction at all. My husband decided to do checkout even with paying twofull-night room fee, and move into another hotel. IT's a very rude,especially they pretend that they don't understand English to avoid anyfurther matters.
Review 126：Be careful!!! The reception closes around 10 pm so you have to make thehotel informed about your late check in. In this case they will somehowleave the room key outside the hotel (the key opens the front door aswell). So it will be no problem if you know for sure your time ofarrival. About location - Kinstanz centre - old town in on the otherside of the river. Actually it is still in a walking distance from thehotel (10 min).
