Reviews for Reserva Natural Tanimboca

Review 1:The food. None of us liked the arepa pizza for dinner. I'd recommend sticking to traditional Colombian food. Breakfast wasn't bad.

Review 2:The treehouse was incredible. I'd highly recommend it. We woke to bats hanging on the outside of the screened windows in the morning and monkeys swinging by. And the night hike guide was so informative. We saw so many wild bugs, snakes, glowing leaves! Loved it.

Review 3:Rented two bikes for $36,000 cop. I'm a master mechanic that owns & rides mountain bikes regularly & was not happy with the bikes brakes, shifting, low tire pressure and the rear axel kept moving causing the tire to contact the frame. Staff still wanted to charge full price for the bikes.

Review 4:The jungle experience in the tree house up in the canopy at night. Night walk was interesting.

Review 5:Comfort: By the time you get to the tree house or back to the reception, you might need another shower (definitely in the hot and rainy season) so bring as little as possibe to your tree house. Food (dinner) there is no choice. We prefer local food above pizza!

Review 6:Tree house was great Friendly staff Zip lining from one tree to another at 35 meters height

Review 7:Too expensive

Review 8:Great location, jungle with lots of birds and frogs.

Review 9:We expected a jungle location but not the difficult access to the house tree, no advice was given prior to our arrival on footwear or risks.

Review 10:The location

Review 11:i could have been more prepared for this kind of living. loud noises, cold shower, insects, and arrive before night and give yourself enough time to settle down or it can be difficult getting aquainted to this much nature. i loved the night life jungle but its not for everybody including my mate.

Review 12:a great reserve in a remote area in a bungalo up in the trees yet close enough by a short bus ride to the heart of Leticia. warm friendly and accommodating staff and guests. waking up in the jungle with the sounds of the morning and light was peaceful and breathtaking

Review 13:We really didn't have any complaints, the accommodations were rustic but that is what we expected, and wanted.

Review 14:My 8 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Tanimboca, we spent one night in the larger tree cabaña and two nights in the smaller one. The experience of sleeping 15 meters above the jungle floor is amazing. The two cabañas are about 400 meters in the jungle and separated from each other by a good distance, so the only thing you hear is the sounds of the jungle. We especially enjoyed our private nightly walks with Gildardo who was amazing at spotting wildlife. Very professional and knowledgeable staff, and the canopy is definitely worth doing too.

Review 15:Of course, do not expect too much luxury (like electricity) in the middle of the jungle.

Review 16:The location is amazing! A treehouse with toilet and running water in the middle of the Amazone jungle, about a 20 minutes walk from the entrance of the reserva. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Spanish language). Food and nightwalk were included, and the reserva can arrange multi-day amazone experiences (trekkings, trips to Peru, Puerto Narino etc). It may look a bit expensive, but it was definitely worth the money.

Review 17:Activities are pricey compared to other places in the area.

Review 18:Spending a night in the middle of the Amazon jungle in a wooden treehouse 12 m from the ground was one of the best experiences I've had inmy life. It´s definitely not a 5 star hotelroom, but I knew from thebeginning that wasn´t a beach holiday but an adventure one. The place isjust awesome and provides you with the basic things you need to be ableto have a comfortable night in the jungle (toilet, shower, bed, mosquitonet) I would suggest anyone visiting this place to have a good qualitylantern/flashlight in their luggage, as well as insect repellent andlong sleeve shirts and jeans. Mosquitos there are vicious! Breakfast andnight time walk to spot tarantulas frogs and other animals was includedin the fare.

Review 19:Kayak was not the best.

Review 20:excellent staff, wonderful stay and beautiful scenery. Loved the activites (canopy)

Review 21:Great place and unique tree house experience. Must do!!!

Review 22:The tree house, friendliness of staff, jungle walk at night andyuca pizza.
