Reviews for Hotel Barbarossa

Review 1:A small insect on mattress, but in general was very clean and warm.

Review 2:The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Perfect location (in the pedestrian road)

Review 3:Reception guy grouched when we asked if we could check out 15minutes later. In the bathroom there was only one paper roll and not even a whole one.

Review 4:Central location, old historical building with nostalgic but modern atmosphere, spacious room nicely decorated, Free WiFi, flexible on checking in time although it was Christmas Eve (they left a letter for us on the door with all needed information).

Review 5:Beds were hard. Cushions very soft. No spare cushion available in room. (Did not ask)

Review 6:Very old building with style. good restaurant with very friendly service.

Review 7:Heating wasn't adjustable

Review 8:Clean bathroom, There was mineral water when we first arrived and the room was nicely aired. The lift is helpful.

Review 9:The beds were a bit stiff for my liking but found this to be true in most stays in Switzerland as well.

Review 10:The location was convenient, we ate dinner in the restaurant and had a well priced enjoyable meal. The breakfast buffet was well done. We only had Swiss electric converter and staff loaned us the one we needed for our phones. Very well done, highly recommended.

Review 11:There were no blinds, shades, or rollaten on the windows. There were only curtains, and these were not sufficient to block the morning sun. Bring a sleeping mask.

Review 12:The location and value of the hotel was excellent. The included breakfast had a wide selection of food including hot scrambled eggs, a rarity on the Continent.

Review 13:Shame there wasn't a lounge.

Review 14:Typically German hotel - very old with lots of character, yet very comfortable. My only criticism is that it didn't seem have a lounge to relax in. The staff were very friendly and obliging. Excellent continental breakfast and evening meals. My sister can only eat gluten free food and the kitchen went out of their way to oblige. We would happily stay there again.

Review 15:The fact that in such an old building it is hard to keep rooms clean (but the the personel tried their best.).

Review 16:Historically interesting building and part of the city

Review 17:everything

Review 18:No parking at the hotel, building works in front and behind the hotel, breakfast uninspiring & lack of utensils, only teaspoons and serving spoons!

Review 19:Difficult to reach by car the room was rather small

Review 20:Very good location in the heart of the city
