Review 1：Well located modern hotel on a main road, just five minutes walk from the attractive town centre and castle/ park. Ten minutes to railway station. Good sized room with no traffic noise. Good breakfast. Pleasant helpful staff.

Review 4：There is a terrible smell on the floor. Desinfectant? Cleaning products? The bathroom is very tiny and plastic shower curtains are a no go. The heating system is very noisy.

Review 9：I find that German hotels are always well functioning, clean and friendly. Breakfast is always the finest meal of the day for a solo traveler who will not be eating in a restaurant. The room was well furnished and the shower excellent! A good quiet location too, just right for a good nights sleep.

Review 14：I had stayed there twice before and had a quiet room at the back of the hotel. This time I was told that all the standard single rooms face to the front, over the main street through Detmold. Very noisy in spite of the double set of double-glazed windows.

Review 37：The first room I was given was clearly a smokers room and the smell ofcigarettes was so strong any guest would feel as if they had smoked 20cigarettes in the first hour! I was immediately given a non-smokingroom but surely no rooms should be so badly tainted with the smell. Thebar staff although friendly are not there all the time but sit in anouter office and guests have to wait for them to return which seemsstrange! I did feel that for the price of the room that breakfastshould have been included.
