Review 1：A request for feather free bedding resulted in losing the double quilt and acquiring two single quilts for a double bed. This is the fifth time I've stayed there since the refurbished rooms became available and despite complaining each time around this issue they still haven't had the sense to go and buy some double feather free quilts. The rooms are starting to look tatty in places, and the daily cleaning was not up to scratch which is unusual. All this said, I will continue to use the hotel as I have an loyalty and like of the place.

Review 5：The room we had required the bulbs in both bedside lamps to be replaced - they did not work on arrival. On the second night the door no longer locked and had to be reprogrammed. It was also not ready in time for us to check in. There was only one elevator from the reception directly to the 6th Floor which was actually out of order for part of our stay. (The alternative route was switching elevators on floor 1 via a long corridor). The internet WiFi access in our room was noticeably slow. The general quality of the standard room was about the same as a room at Ibis or Travel lodge hotels (including small TV and generic wall mounted wash-all in the bath room) although with older decor. Also some strange ideas about housekeeping. Reusing old paper towels when resetting the hot drinks tray and one cappuccino sachet (single portion) in a room for two people.

Review 6：The Spa is really nice. The location is excellent. The staff were generally friendly and helpful (although one did suggest that we had somehow caused our room door to stop locking). The breakfast is excellent but expensive (we received a free breakfast due to various room calamities). We also received a free drinks voucher due to our room not being ready at check in time. Not a bad view - could see the Fernsehturm from the room window.

Review 25：Unfriendly, unprofessional staff (the concierge staff were the exception). Housekeeping was poor. The breakfast was OK, but cafeteria-like. Seating for around 200, most of it taken. Several conferences held during our stay, closing down common areas and forcing guests to walk through the middle of displays and groups to reach the lifts. Problem with laundry (clothing returned wet) was very poorly handled by reception staff.

Review 30：Free WiFi is EXTREMELY slow. Slower than a cellular 3G connection. Probably better not to advertise free WiFi than to give guests such a poor experience. Example, takes 7-10 seconds for the Amazon page to load up. Bath tub is very unsafe as it is smooth and no large handles available to hold on to as getting out of the tub. The tap for the bath tub was very stiff and difficult to adjust the temperature of the water. The 2-in-1 shampoo and bath gel is placed lower for bath tub access so if you are showering, you have to move away from the shower and bend lower to get to the bath gel. Both posing an additional risk of slipping and an inconvenience. Cupboard space really only had enough hangers for one person, not two despite being a double room. In the whole room, there are only 3 power points behind the TV unless it is so hidden that I couldn't spot it and it is for the lamp, TV and kettle. Do they not realise nowadays people have loads to charge and would be handy to have power points next to the bed? Hotel staff were prompt but lacking warmth. I had lost luggage at the airport but they were never took the time or effort to go out of their way to be helpful, suggest or offer ways to deal with the misery. An example, I had to ask for a toothbrush kit and that was never delivered to the room. I asked for a power UK-EU converter and one is charged a €50 deposit. Are these converters gold plated? They could charge €10, the guests take it with them and there would still be a profit and the guest won't feel too badly about forgetting something like that. Can one not see how that is extremely better than slapping €50 for not returning it?

Review 31：Room is large and spacious. Bed and pillows are lovely and comfy. Various tea and coffee provided with coffee. Empty fridge available to put stuff purchased either from downstairs or the supermarket. Water pressure is adequate but not strong enough to fill the bath tub quickly. Can shower, not weak but not strong either. Large safe for camera, laptop and other valuables. There is an ironing board and iron in the room itself. Very handy and convenient.

Review 45：This hotel is only minutes walk from the Underground station and easy to find. The staff spoke English and were extremely helpful particularly when I explained I couldn't take any bag or personal items into the US Embassy. They were happy to keep them secure until we returned even though we had checked out. The hotel was bright, spacious and airy and rooms were of a good size.

Review 59：The bed and the pilow, not comfortable at all (for my taste) i felt the springs and the pilow is terrible, we lay down the head we sink in it. Poor bathroom amenities (pratically none), the tea/coffee was replaced only once (in 7 nights), no airport shuttle, the non-english channels (apart from news) in a 50+ channels list (and they all dubb movies, argh). The restaurant (Julius) concierge completly ignored us on the reception desk (stood there around 5 min) while was serving water. Very expensive breakfast (18.50€)

Although is not right on the center, is very close to Tiergarten / Bauhaus, a very calm area and 5 min walk to Nollendorfplatz U-station (be aware from Kurfürstenstraße, late night you can head to prostitutes). Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, specially on the front desk. Room service is very cheap (3€), the need to use the room key to open the front door/operate de elevator gives a sense of security, room fridge.

Review 93：1.The quality of services of the stuff - starting with the reception where they give you bad indications ( I got lost on their information) and down stairs bar where they were too busy to talk to each other than ask you what you need...and the people from the breakfast room - I was always siting on a dirty table and when I tried toa sk them to clean one - they were looking at you very ugly2. they don;t have a minibar!! if you want something you need to go down to the reception as there is no phone number to the reception!!i found out one in the last day but no use as nobody answers the phone... 3. in the breakfast room they take out one coffee machine so that you need to stay in line for only 1 coffee machine and spend 5 minutes for a coffee!! 4. wi fi - very bad connection and you can only use it for one device as you need to pay 16 euro if you want an extra device ( i had one laptop and 2 phones so...imagine 2 devices*16 euro per day for 5 days ... 5.the noise..you can hear all the noise everybody is doing as the walls are very very slim... 6. the hotel is an old one...the walls are dirty and the carpen is smelling... in the end i would never choose it again...

The reception is totally understaffed, receptionists are stressed and hence not very welcoming. Food (breakfast and lunch buffets) is mediocre. Location is a bit off center.

Two recommendations for a good restaurant worked out as follows - One was closed for over a year and the other was not open on a Sunday - this after 2 taxi trips. Normally I see A/C complaints as nit picking but the background noise is really distracting. Breakfast at €21/22? is completely OTT with so many alternatives nearby.

The shower drain was clogged, thus after having a short shower there was a plenty of water in the shower tray. Again, not a big problem, but in a 4 star hotel, it is a bit unexpected.
