Reviews for Hotel Schönsitz
Review 1:A very easy hotel to find while on the Rhine Cycleway. Enough facilities to suit the simple needs required. Staff were very helpful and the place was very quiet.
Review 2:Breakfast was very good. Pet friendly I could bring my dog to breakfast with me. Not too many people which is good and location is right on the Rhine river for a great price. Might come back again.
Review 4:Hotel could do with a little updating.
Review 5:Staff welcoming. No problem taking our small dog. Good breakfast. Good stop off point on our trip between Trieste and Amsterdam. Nice restaurant across the road. Free parking.
Review 6:I had reserved the room with a credit card, but he preferred cash!
Review 7:The lovely breakfast. Usual fruit juice and cereal. Bonus of a hot boiled egg. Service was efficient. I only saw one man there who I presumed to be the owner. Room a bit spartan, linoleum floor, economic on the heating. On site parking, wifii not working. Bed-side lamp bulb broken, only left the overhead light.
Review 8:Lovely traditional hotel well situated near the Rhine River in a quiet village. Lovely walks by the river. Kind and helpful staff. Breakfast served straight to your table,
Review 9:The position of the hotel was too far out of Konigswinter if you have no transport. Quite basic. No extra luxuries eg shower gel. Decor and facilities a bit dated. Good choice at breakfast but bread a little stale. Didn't appear to be fresh that morning
Review 10:The staff were lovely. The hotel was nice and quiet Good sized room
Review 11:excellent staff and lovely dog in the hotel. it provides you a really touch to Germany village
Review 12:Good breakfast
Review 13:None.
Review 14:Excelent attention from personnel. The manager agreed to stay up late until I could arrive to the hotel.
Review 15:- Nothing I can remember
Review 16:- General good impression - Bike friendly, in the garden they had a place
Review 17:Nice riverside walks and good restaurants nearby. Private parking and easy public transport links to Bonn.
Review 18:The bed Shower Good Wi-Fi Nice staff Clean bedroom and bathroom
Review 19:nothing
Review 20:excellent staff, breakfast, free parking near the hotel
Review 21:bathroom very small, no shower gel or window/fan.
Review 22:room quiet and adaquate, good parking, lovely situation, good breakfast.
Review 23:- The shower room didn't have any shower gel, just a small piece of hand soap. There was a note in the room, stating that if you'd need shower gel or anything, you should ask at the reception. But, except in the morning at breakfast time, there was never anybody at the reception...Not putting any shower gel in the shower is a bit cheap. - The rooms are nice, but a bit bare. - The manager doesn't like to take Visa for payment, which could be an issue for people who don't have cash with them, and don't have a German ATM card.
Review 24:Quiet location, close to Bonn, and very affordable.
Review 25:Nothing really.
Review 26:We had a wonderful stay. The owner is very helpful and considerate.Setting is right next to the Rhine and wonderful for relaxation alsowithin walking distance of ferries (2km). The train/tram lines areabout 1 km away. Would love to stay there again. Breakfast was good too.Would be impossible to beat in terms of value for money. Danke Thomas!
Review 27:We stayed at this hotel on our trip through to Italy. Good parking, a small but comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the Dalmatien Grill just across the road where the food was good and at a reasonable price. Konigswinter is around one mile away but an easy walk. The Schloss Dragonfeld is a good place to visit especially on the mountain railway.
Review 28:Our bath was out of the room (opposite).
Review 29:Very comfortable, good place near railway station and not far from U-station. Best choice for someone who wants to travel along the Rhine (by car, by train, by the river) and live in a little town. Very calm, big breakfast. A very friendly hotel owner and his dog Ben.
Review 30:Simple but good hotel in Niederdollendorf, 3 km. away from Königswinter, only 100 m. from the Rhine (you can reach the other side by ferry) and only 400 m. from the trainstation and tram station of Niederdollendorf. Friendly personnel, good breakfast. Comfortable rooms with a small desk, own bathroom, flatscreen tv. There is a pc with free Internet. There are a few nice restaurants in the neighbourhood (some of them very cheap, like Hellas Grill and Asia Express) and there are 3 good supermarkets in the village (Rewe, Norma and Edeka). Niederdollendorf can be easily reached by train and tram from Bonn.
Review 31:Although breakfast was good, and personally served, there was always too much for us and the basically the same every day. A little speciality item evbery other day would have been welcome - but I'm not complaining.
Review 32:Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. Convenient for station, , trains every half hour to Cologne, Coblence, Konigswinter (with its cog railway up the Drachenfels mountain) and villages in between. Location just off banks of Rhine, ferry to other side of river, to Bad Godesburg and river boats. Proximity to several good restaurants - eg. Bredershof, Rhein Genuss and (just across the ferry) Schaumberger Hof. Though hotel does not provide meals, in suitable weather there is a "beergarten" where a representative selection of German meals and snacks can be enjoyed with a relaxing drink. Situated in a little known spot on the Rhine, much less busy and frenetic than the famous Gorge (Rudesheim, etc), where there is still plenty to see and do.
Review 33:Very noisy guests at 1.30am using shared bathroom and having no respectfor other guests. Screaming and laughing We had to sort it out as nopersonel on premises overnight.
Review 34:Owner very friendly and there to help. Also one can eat on premises inBiergarten which was good after a long trip.
Review 35:Free wifi! Very nice and helpful staff! Good location! Wonderful breakfast!
Review 36:Some distance from the nearest tram stop (only about 10 minutes walk).
Review 37:Very homely atmosphere. Close to extensive parkland along the Rhein.
Review 38:location, nice breakfast
Review 39:Good value for money! It has a small parking place. Wi-fi is working properly which is not that often for small German hotels like that.
Review 40:Not at all
Review 41:Themaster of hotel was very cool and nice. Furthermore facilities were very satisfied.
Review 42:they didnt accept non-German credit/ debit cards
Review 43:very friendly personnel, family atmosphere, in a quiet part of town, close to a park and a river.
