Review 1：We loved staying at Alpenhotel Bergzauber! The staff were very friendly, the room was quite cozy and clean, and the restaurant had great food. The breakfast was also great and it was a wonderful view from the room.

Review 2：Wifi does not work very well, but it is questionable if it is wrong. We appreciated it in the end, because why be online during vacation :)

Review 3：Nice people, cozy, stylish hotel, very nice private sauna available on request. Very good breakfast and delicious dinner. Hotel is located a little bit far from Berchtesgaden, but if you want relaxing holiday, you do not need to stay in the city centre. It is still reachable by car or by bus in few minutes. Berchtesgaden land is absolutely wonderful area, we will definitely come back.

Review 6：There are a few things to note. 1. Parking an be troublesome. The lot is not big and people are driving bigger cars these days. 2. Beds were a bit too firm for me. Pillows are feather so no support for a side sleeper. 3. It is not so easy to find without a GPS. 4. The radiator in our room, when on, sounded like a running trickle of water. It can be calming or annoying. 5. There isn't anything to do in the direct vicinity of the hotel unless you are into hiking.

Review 7：The hotel is a very nicely designed place. The breakfast was good and included in our rate. The location is good for any time of year without snow. It is in a remote area so it is quiet. The remoteness was relaxing after being a tourist all day. The hotel is not far from the city center, probably a 10 min drive down the mountain.

Review 16：A refridgerator would have been nice in the room. We stayed during an unusual stretch of very hot and humid weather. With no air conditioning, we were concerned, but temperatures cooled off nicely every evening, and by opening windows and doors, we were able to cool the room. However, that meant we heard our loud neighbors' conversations, and had an unexpected visit in our room from an area cat. Due to the mountain location, Wi-Fi service, which was free, was pretty weak. It would be great if they could come up with a better solution for guests.

Review 17：The Fleischer Family, who owns and runs the hotel, and their small staff, make you feel like you are a part of the family. Their friendliness, warmth and hospitality made this our favorite of the four hotels we stayed on this trip. they seem to enjoy their guests, and not treat them as a nuisance. The rooms were clean and the hotel charming. The breakfast was excellent. The location was great and quiet. They were helpful in every way possible with sight-seeing.

Review 22：My wife and I had some pleasant three days stay at Alpenhotel Bergzauber. A very warm welcome at arrival and the hotel mgr. spoke a very good English as well. We had planned to visit the "Eagle's Nest" as well as the Saltmine and Salzburg and this hotel is located close to all this. Besides this we were recommended some hikings in the Bavarian Alps. In the basement the very cozy Alp bar is a must see. We got to have some very nice beers as well as lovely company from the hotel mgr. and some other guests. Very recommendable :-) We would very much like to come back to the Alpenhotel Bergzauber.

But at times I felt as if I was an inconvenience to be tolerated. Maybe it was just me. Regardless, I can recommend this hotel to others... unless a solid Internet connection is important to you.

Review 46：The hotel locates 5km away from the main train station. If you take bus to get there, you have to pull the luggage and walk up to the moutain for another 300ms before you arrive in the hotel after get off the bus. The bus is not available till 9:40 on Sat and Sun.

The dining room, also used for breakfast, is a place where you want to linger for hours. The outside terrace is great, with a beautiful view. Review 54：The location is ideally isolated from the tourist crowds. The hotel is clean, comfortable and private with a great view. We had a patio area for sitting and could easily get our luggage out that way as well. Breakfast was adequate. The dinners were well planned and you could choose in the morning whether you would eat there and what you would choose. Easy drive to Salzburg and the sites around Berchtesgarten. The Ring Road actually is accessed from the village. Very inexpensive way to see this area in comfort. Great laundry service.

Review 67：Nothing! I had an outstanding time there! However, just one comment for American tourists like me who stay at the hotel: bring plenty of Euro cash. Although the hotel accepted my credit card to pay for lodging, the hotel restaurant only accepted cash for dinner. The town of Oberau, where the hotel is located, has only very limited tourist amenities. I had to go to a bank in Berchtesgaden itself during bank hours to convert dollars to Euros when I realized that I had not brought enough Euros.

Review 68：Everything!! I was looking for a nice hotel from which I could enjoy hiking the Berchtesgaden area for three days. Hotel Bergzauber was exactly what I was looking for! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The quaint, comfortable hotel is about 8 miles from Berchtesgaden, away from much of the "tourist" crowd. I enjoyed beautiful hikes around the hotel every day before breakfast. Breakfast, included in the hotel price, was excellent and substantial. After breakfast, I used the public bus system to go to other attractions in the afternoons. Use of the bus system was free for me, because the hotel issued me a special guest pass that also could be used to get discounts at some attractions. In the evenings, I returned to the hotel and enjoyed some quite excellent dinners at the hotel restaurant! Thanks to the staff of the hotel for making my Berchtesgaden vacation a truly enjoyable and memorable experience!!
