Reviews for Brioni Boutique Hotel 3+

Review 1:They claim it's a 4* hotel, but it's actually a low 3* at most. Rooms are quite small and there aren't many facilities. It's also understandably very loud at night.

Review 2:Location in the very heart of the city, breakfast was OK

Review 3:I ordered a room with air conditioning, and when I arrived, there were no rooms with air conditioning available, just in the heath wave of July (38 C in the room)... They said they would give me 20 percent reduction, and they give me 15...(paid by credit card), and in the night the environment is very loud...

Review 4:The hotel is very conveniently placed to transport, the city center, and the restaurant and entertainment precinct. The hotel building itself has historical character.

Review 5:Definitely not 4 stars, perhaps not even three. It is well worn-out, with old era interior design. Apart from the minibar in the room, nothing else tells you might possibly be in a hotel of that category.

Review 6:Great location, good breakfast.

Review 7:Room was not as nice as the ones on website. Bed poor, bathroom very tiny, literally could sit on the toilet with each elbow touching opposing walls.

Review 8:Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke English. Price was okay and breakfast good. Clean. Had elevator.

Review 9:It was a bit noisy at night owing to proximity of bars and clubs but nothing not to like.

Review 10:Location was easy to find from motorway, parking was readily available and the hotel was inexpensive. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is close to streets containing restaurants and a major new shopping mall. Ostrava is a lively town.

Review 11:My room was quite basic, by far not worth money. Other rooms are perhaps better. Walls are thin, you can wake up at 4 because noise guest are back in hotel.

Review 12:Location is great for going out, hotel is located on the street full of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was ok.

Review 13:The pooltable was broke but the hotel fixed it the second day. It was very close to the barstreet so the was quite a bit of noise during the nights. Breakfast was standard but i had a bad egg and only ate there one morning.

Review 14:We booked the suite with the pooltable. The room was big and clean with a nice bathroom and a big bathtub. Good security.

Review 15:The hotel was perfect, only 10 minutes from main train station and directly in city centre, buffet breakfast tasty and big choice from food-hot and cold, room was clean and very comfortable, staff very very friendly and helpfull, the hotel have restaurant only 2 minutes just cross the street.

Review 16:the standard room has very small bathrooms, but actually there is a notice on the wall apologising just for this, so it's fair enough the gate on the hallway to keep non-guests out is a bit alienating

Review 17:It is ideally located if you want to go out, and actually there is a small train stop very close (central station is 30 min walk) it was quite empty when I stayed there so no waiting at all the sauna is excellent a very decent breakfast the mural in the dining hall is a must see

Review 18:small rooms but its the rebuilt culture object so understandable

Review 19:It was very nice hotel at the center of the pub/bar street, if you prefer such area, its very good option / value for price

Review 20:There is a bar opposite which plays very loud music in to the early hours. If your room is on this elevation, you will need the earplugs that are offered. Room old fashioned

Review 21:Friendly and helpful staff. Location - Five minutes walk from Ostrava Stodolni station. Reasonable breakfast

Review 22:The dead animals that are hanged on the walls at the reception aredisgusting the "War Bar" is stupid, didnt like the idea - likea part from a bad movie

Review 23:The location is great for nightlife. The luxury rooms are funky andspacious the team are useful and pleasant

Review 24:Small and slow elevator for such a busy hotel.....

Review 25:Everything was very very good. From service to room quality. Good breakfast, great sleep in superb conditions.

Review 26:Rooms are clean and simple, perhaps a bit short of comfort and elegance.

Review 27:If you are in Ostrava you will hardly find a better situated hotel, it's right on the main walking street, with plenty of good bars and restaurants around, and just a corner from public transportation. The breakfast is fabulous.

Review 28:located in the very center of Ostrava. The reception lady was very helpful and a late check out wasn't a problem. Would truly recommend this hotel.

Review 29:Booking.com should place a big warning sign on this place. I waschoosing by it's advisory and did not know what is about to happen.I was travelling from abroad with two kids (1.5 and 5 yrs old) to Polandand choose this place for a sleep overthe night en route. The hotel isplaced by the Ostrava party street (stodolni), and it looked perfect ona website, but the place went berkserk at about 10pm and stood this waytill 6am with. I'm specially enraged that the staff saw us with thekids, and gave us (unaware of anything- having never been at the place)no warning or offerred us rooms at the back. Instead we got the oursright above the partying street. I'm pretty sure it's amagnificent party place but be aware of the surroundings before youplace a book.

Review 30:Good Breakfast, not bad rooms, oldschool interiors.

Review 31:Noice from street and pepole shouting and partying all night long. Bathroom was not practical. Bed was hard. Interior was old and smelled bad. Breakfast was poor and not fresh.

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:First of all the place is dangerous. The staircase is barred. Maybe you can open it with your room key, but who thinks about the room key getting out of fire. They claim to be a 4* hotel and this is far away from the truth.

Review 34:Location. Breakfast.

Review 35:Some noise was audible from the nightlife locations, but not very much.

Review 36:Great location for nightlife with many restaurants, bars, discos in 100 distance. Wonderful old Hotel which is in very good shape, but keeping old splendour and good taste visible. Good breakfast. Parking well controlled with locked door operated by reception 24 /7. Very friendly and helpful staff! The best I ever encountered in Czech Republic!

Review 37:Super.... Everything was excellent

Review 38:spacy room, but very tiny bathroom

Review 39:was impressed by entry, hall, restaurant of this old hotel.

Review 40:Light sleepers might have a problem with noisy streets (Friday night)

Review 41:Checked in at 2 AM. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 42:City center. Very kind staff. Delicious breakfast. Thank you!

Review 43:charming building, friendly staff with good english

Review 44:street weekend nite fever in my room - a little too loud

Review 45:modra mysz !

Review 46:No complains..

Review 47:Good location, otherwise quite average.

Review 48:Noise from Stodolni street pubs (depends on a situation of the room)

Review 49:No iron at the reception. A bit noisy street, however a/c was in order.

Review 50:Location, breakfast.

Review 51:Everything was great!

Review 52:One of the best hotels I ever slept. - room, wifi, breakfast, staff, location

Review 53:direct in the center of the party street

Review 54:Noise in the street. Unconfortable table in the room.

Review 55:The only thing I should note: please provide hook shower

Review 56:Location is great!!

Review 57:Breakfast was poor

Review 58:Good value for money, location, very friendly and helpful staff

Review 59:Location is perfect!! Breakfast is good too.

Review 60:Comfort of Bed Size of the room Terrible coffee for Breakfast

Review 61:Location to Stodolni Train Station Bar next door Nice Staff

Review 62:WIFI is poor :-(

Review 63:I stayed second time in the hotel within several months, place, room, bed, bath, breakfast, parking, personal superb.

Review 64:First morning breakfast is awful, second is ok.

Review 65:Sauna ok.

Review 66:It is ideally situated near bars, clubstrams and trains

Review 67:very noisy

Review 68:Location, quality food

Review 69:- little bit noisy

Review 70:+ good standard breakfest + very good location in centre

Review 71:the location, breakfast and some part of decoration

Review 72:rather good 3* hotel

Review 73:location, breackfast, parking

Review 74:nothing

Review 75:breakfast, location

Review 76:In reality - overpriced for what you get, and the street gets loud at night.

Review 77:Central location on the busyiest street for nightlife

Review 78:Very small bathroom

Review 79:Good staff, good breakfast, nice room.

Review 80:Wi-fi signal was too weak

Review 81:I had a gift from the hotel- deluxe room instead of comfort one :)

Review 82:Noise from outside whole night

Review 83:No A/C, the bahtroom is tiny.

Review 84:Miniature bathroom, not suitable for not-so-skinny people, but it was bearable.

Review 85:The hotel staff was really very nice and helpful.

Review 86:The street gets really noisy by night. There is a loud music until 5am so it is really hard to sleep.

Review 87:Отель на самой оживленной улице Остравы. Удобная парковка во дворе. Необычное оформление интерьера. Чисто и удобно. Завтрак на четверочку.

Review 88:AC could have been more powerful

Review 89:Great room at 4th floor

Review 90:Advise for a business traveller, if you need to get some sleep during the night you should ask for a room on the opposite side to the Stodolni street. The bathroom is extremely small.

Review 91:If your main goal is to blow off some steam you should book this hotel, because it is located in the heart of Ostrava party zone.

Review 92:the area can get bit noisy in the night, design of the hotel is bit strange (stuffed animals...)

Review 93:small, cosy room, friendly people at the desk, pretty good choice for breakfast, central location

Review 94:Perfect location in the heart of the lively pub street but still silent in the night, friendly stuff, beautiful and clean room, very good brekfast. I can warmly recommend to everybody!

Review 95:Elevators was awful, it's sensitive line is 10 cm from doors, it is difficult to pass it, especially with backpack. Floor carpet in rooms is black-variegated, so, for example, it was difficult to find fallen black T-shirt, or socks(just impossible). Especially in evenings with so poor lighting(only one low light). At all, it is old building, and rooms are small. Bathroom is vertical coffin with plywood walls(it is possible to sit in the throne and get a shower at the same time, and everyone will hear it). Iron beds.. In our student hostel we had the same. And room's keys was single for two us. And elevator dont work without special tab(keychain). Problem was to walk alone, for come back had to call to room, and husband came down and let me in. Wifi was awful too, it was broken(falling) all the time.

Review 96:Breakfast was good

Review 97:Beds were old, unconfortable and very noisy....coupled with thin walls that is all but soundproof you can imagine...

Review 98:Staff, Military bar, beakfast, location, value for money

Review 99:Does not deserve 4 stars. Maybe it was our room, but the bahtroom was very small.

Review 100:I was pleasantly surprised that the noise from the street isn't such a big issue. Great breakfast too.

Review 101:Tiny toilet / shower room. Cheapest room in an old style hotel could do to be updated and have better lighting.

Review 102:Location on Stodolni near city centre with bus/trams close by. Free wifi Cooked breakfast

Review 103:Bathroom in my single room was tiny, as was the washbasin in it, which also was fixed at a very low height. When I arrived at about 8 p.m., the restaurant was closed and only the bar/cafe was open, which - as many facilities in the czech republic - is a heavy smoker area. Also, the reception is located there. Hotel is located directly on the famous pub mile of Ostrava, which may be a problem especially in summer when you want to open the window in the night.

Review 104:Rich buffet breakfast. Central location.

Review 105:- rooms without furniture (wardrobe) - warm/cold water in shower has changed as it wanted, and with very very slow pressure - no equipment in bathroom - when we lock door for once, they were still unlock - we found it out at the end of our stay - horror! - smoking smell in every place of hotel - small parking place

Review 106:- location

Review 107:Because the hotel is on the main strip, street noise at night time is loud. The bathroom was small and furniture is dated.

Review 108:Staff were very friendly and location is on the main strip for bars/restaurants/clubs. Breakfast wasn't too bad.

Review 109:We stayed one night (Sunday night) to visit family. Our room was on the 2nd floor facing the street. The room was clean, bed was comfy, wifi worked great, and had no issues with noise. Keep in mind we stayed on a Sunday night and the next day was a holiday so it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful and nice. This hotel is on a famous street that has many bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very good and a great value. The hotel bar has great espresso and tap beer. It's a 30 minute walk to the center. I would recommend visiting city hall and going up in the look our tower, fabulous view of the city!

Review 110:At visiting day there were no electricity for ~5 hours and personal wasn't interested in making a comfortable overnight stay!

Review 111:Friendly personal and nice atmosphere

Review 112:It was a little funky. One thing that surprised me was that there was anote on the table that "ear plugs" were available atreception. It turns out that the property is on the biggest partystreet in the entire Czech Republic. My wife can only drink caffeinefree products. They didn't even have instant decaf coffee. Most ofthe time, there was only one person on duty to deal with the bar andthe rooms.

Review 113:Large room.

Review 114:restaurant not being open lunch times or evening noisy locks on room doors no writing desk in room

Review 115:restaurant nice decor, smaller separate tables would be nice

Review 116:A few staff members did not smile at all and seemed a bit disinterested when we asked questions. There was one young girl who was very helpful so thank you to her.

Review 117:Hotel located perfectly in the heart of the main street.

Review 118:very basic facilities but we discovered it was once owned by Oscar Schindler which made the trip because I love the history behind this man

Review 119:perfect location and nice staff

Review 120:It isn't luxurious in a tiniest bit but from the other hand it has the character of the whole Ostrava which has been a pit town and steel industry center in the past and maybe isn't very sophisticated but has its charm. Dated interiors, tiny bathroom, modest breakfast and very noisy outside at night.

Review 121:Hotel is just right on the street where most of the pubs and clubs are located. Really close to historical part of the town and all the shops. Good transportation links.

Review 122:Although location is very good (quite central), it's in a 'party district', which means it can be a bit loud at night. Ask for room in the back of the hotel if you're a light sleeper.

Review 123:Very nice and big rooms, bright and well cleaned. Breakfast was good and already included in the price.

Review 124:A lot of noise till very late. I couln`t sleep. Hotel is overrated i think not 4 stars. Very simple basic breakfast. Fire exit are close! Dark corridors.

Review 125:Large rooms Location Parking nearby hotel

The Fine Print

Please note that on weekends the restaurant is only open for breakfast.
