Reviews for Heritage Hotel
Review 1:Very noisy, we thought it was a party nearby but staff said it was a lap-dancing club. Even though it was a Monday night the noise went on until 4.30 am. The club is illegal in the area but nothing has been done to close it down. We were on fourth floor and the lift was broken down in the morning. My husband has mobility problems and had to walk down. He would have been unable to walk up so it was lucky that we were on the same floor as the restaurant.
Review 2:Food in restaurant for dinner was surprisingly good. We only stayed one night as we were in transit to Saba.
Review 3:No hot water in shower. Noisy air con. Noisy area. Was under the impression there was a swimming pool otherwise wouldn't have booked. Restaurant had poor breakfast and dinner menu.
Review 4:Nice big room and friendly staff
Review 5:The bathroom , bathtub the overall decore , it's clear the hotel needs renovating stains ...all over bathroom , bed was tough ...dead spiders & Webs around the outside of hotel ...needs serious renovation & powerwash !!! Elevator very small yet says it could fit 10 passangers....the door latch looks like someone broke in it ..... Regular keys should upgrade to electronic keys !!! If this hotel were renovated it would be wonderful !!!
Review 6:The staff made me feel so welcome
Review 7:This hotel is very basic cheap furniture, chairs and decor I was spending a Sunday night there and it was like a ghost town NOTHING was open so ate in the restaurant again very basic on the top floor and inside. The waitress was pleasant but when I asked what was fresh on the menu she said the catch of the day. At least she was honest.
Review 8:The hotel was close to the airport. The room was clean as were the sheets
Review 9:It was a friday so things were a little noisy at some of the surrounding hot spots but it did not bother me that much. Amazingly the fridge in the room was more disturbing, so I simply unplugged it and all was well.
Review 10:the hotel was close to shopping, restaurants and the airport which was exactly what I needed for a short overnight stay
Review 11:could do with a lick of paint Lots of noise at night, difficult to sleep
Review 12:Large 4th floor room, great wrap around balcony, excellent views Wonderful breakfast, friendly helpful staff
Review 13:Front desk people are not friendly. There should be a information desk for tour plan for the guests.
Review 14:Ferry service to Berbuda and Monserrat is available nearby. I appreciate the service at the breakfast. Post office and different shops are very near.
Review 15:It's nothing fancy but it's good value for staying in town.
Review 16:Clean basic hotel, large rooms, comfortable bed and good wi-fi, friendly staff. Good location if you are staying in town.
Review 17:It can be a bit noisy at night, but I always slept well.
Review 18:The bed was comfortable. the room spacious and clean. The internet worked well and the central location suited me.
Review 19:The WiFi was quite poor, but then the staff switched me to wired service and things worked quite fine.
Review 20:The staff was friendly and professional. Made me feel at home. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, everyone was super nice and attentive. I must also add that the size of the room surprised me -- I had a large room with a balcony to boot!
Review 21:Unfortunately there was no room service on the evening of Christmas day. Given that it was bed and breakfast only, we found that to be quite poor, having to find something to eat later on in the evening was an 'adventure', resorting to a Burger King meal was not what was on our agenda.
Review 22:The centrality of the location was the main factor in making the booking at the hotel; there are two bus stations within easy walking distance that provides cheap transport to all areas of the Island. Costs of bus fares is exceptionally cheap compared to taxis. Journeys of approximately ten miles costing less than £1.50
Review 23:The hotel was value for money and more would have come at increased cost .
Review 24:This is a pleasant comfortable and clean property with excellent service. Friendly efficient staff. The hotel is in the center of St. Johns and within walking distance of most conveniences.
Review 25:Desk staff did not seem particularly friendly; Air conditioner and fridge were noisy. Overall, the cost of the room, including taxes, was overpriced in my opinion.
Review 26:Spacious room and comfortable bed. Well located for meetings in St John's. For meals, the Big Banana is good value and only a short walk away.
Review 27:the breakfast eggs are pale and bacon is reused in the mornings. AC works when it wants. there is a 13'' inches tube tv in your room, you can barely watch it and the signal is terrible. I used my phone (roaming) for internet because their internet simply didn't exist. When I asked "what is a good place to eat" the front desk told me - go to Sandals.
Review 28:nothing
Review 29:The breakfast wasn't great but edible. The pancakes were burnt most of the time. There isn't any local beach in walking distance. Need to take a taxi.
Review 30:The hotel is locate in town, which meant that everything was local. The duty free shops as well as local shops and supermarkets are on your doorstep. The cruise ship can be seen from the breakfast room that's how close you we were to the dock. Friday and Saturday nights are very lively in Town make sure you enjoy. The hotel is small and comfortable. Was there for 4 days, definitely served its purpose. It's very close to the airport which is great especially when travelling with a baby.
Review 31:Very old hotel without any renovation
Review 32:Just location
Review 33:Breakfast was bad, staff was not good, shabby hotel. Worth $50 per night
Review 34:Location
Review 35:No hot water in shower, restaurant not good, noisy air con and outside music
Review 36:Big room, large beds, friendly staff
Review 37:Elevator.
Review 38:Excellent view.
Review 39:no airport shuttle
Review 40:size and comfort of room
Review 41:Place could do with a revamp
Review 42:Staff were amazing. Lady who checked me in and the porter.
Review 43:the rooms could deserve renovation
Review 44:good location next to the harbour
Review 45:Felt like home, staff were the best!
Review 46:Central location and access to banks, shops, etc.
Review 47:Price a little higher than expected for short stay
Review 48:Proximity to town
Review 49:location and the Internet
Review 50:Reception was cool
Review 51:Not the friendliest staff but not the worst, dated, a little shabby in the bathroom
Review 52:Nice big room, good WiFi, staff were helpful enough
Review 53:I was given a quote online of $238 but was charged more than a $100 extra. Disappointing
Review 54:The scenery from my window
Review 55:our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with a welcoming cup of coffee. Breakfast was more than sufficient. great!
Review 56:Solitude & staff interest in our stay!
Review 57:Low water pressure and unreliable hot water
Review 58:Friendly staff and convenient accommodations in the town capital
Review 59:None.
Review 60:Spacious and extremely clean rooms. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that did not compare with this hotel. We'll worthy of recommendation.
Review 61:loved the spacious room and comfortable facilities including the entertainment and wifi
Review 62:Everything was perfect.
Review 63:I liked everything. The staff was very nice and helpful. I was comfortable and relaxed.
Review 64:Rude staff No compassion Asked for a bottle of water for the room and they refused Staff were sullen Would not stay again
Review 65:Meal service was a little sparse. Also, upon my arrival I asked the receptionist to book a tour for me. It became obvious that she booked this with a relative/friend, who was not a real tour guide. He was pretty much useless - offered very little information and appeared not to know much at all. Added to that, his vehicle was dirty. he charged $130US for a 3 hour tour and I had just paid the same in Grenada for an all-day tour - so beware when making such a booking - check it out.
Review 66:I liked the fact that the wifi was completely reliable, the AC was good, and the shower was good. There was plenty of space in the room and there was a nice balcny.
Review 67:TV was small, but you don't go on vacation to watch TV
Review 68:Great location in downtown St Johns. Rooms were large, clean, and WIFI was strong. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great
Review 69:Hotel was tired looking, especially in the bathrooms and could have maybe been a little better presented. It is a very basic roof over your head of course and for us location was the main thing. It's never really quiet with road noise and people about late and very early, but it gets you up! $145 is rather a lot compared to the $50 a night we were paying in Montserrat for much better standards….but that's just Antigua. We would use it again, so none of it put us off.
Review 70:It served it's function for us very well as it is a very short walk to the ferry terminal that took us to our major holiday destination. We stayed for one night at the beginning and one at the end of our trip. The place was functional and the staff were friendly. Great view of the cruise ships as you eat breakfast (That was also very good). Rooms are large and the beds again kingsize and very comfortable. Not somewhere you would want to stay as a two week 'holiday hotel', but perfect for being in the centre of the main tourist area, and there's nothing funnier than watching the cruise ship passengers being milked of their $.
Review 71:The front desk staff could be friendlier and knowlegeable about the country.
Review 72:The location was ideal. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!
Review 73:Cruise ship days. Too many people touting for business (Stallholders and taxi drivers). Has to be expected - it's their livelihood!
Review 74:Central to St. Johns within easy reach of bars and restaurants. Easy to get a taxi to anywhere on the island.
Review 75:The late night very, loud music from nearby clubs.
Review 76:The staff were exceptional! Many of them stood out for going well beyond what their job demanded - Jaslene. Breakfasts were delicious. We were able to walk everywhere in the city from our hotel.
Review 77:Denied ever receiving booking from you, managed to achieve single booking ok but only had a double available for the twin booking.ended up in annex, could have been lovely rooms but very scruffy.
Review 78:Day staff extremely obliging. Receptionist on duty at approx 6pm very unsure of herself.de
Review 79:The hotel is very difficult to find - there is no exterior signage. Wifi signal was decent. The area can be CRAZY busy when cruise ships are in port. A lot of locals out & about as well .. they can be a little intimidating.
Review 80:Staff was helpful when our bags didn't make it and the airline didn't deliver them when they said they would. Plenty of restaurants close by and lots of shops.
Review 81:TV should be updated Better lighting at office desk
Review 82:Spacious room Office furniture & internet access Good location to government offices Good location to restaurants, shopping
Review 83:Its awfull...please don´t go there don´t looose your money, the staffdon´t know hospitality, the breakfast worst..if the coffe its finish thewaitress doesn´t prepare more because its leisy, the bell boy its layingin a sofa watching tv at full volume and doesn t care..don t loose yourmoney. Tahts not hotel.
Review 84:Nothing. Nada
Review 85:bedding . bedding was a thin beadspread and sheet and thin blanket. expensive for the amenities and service that were available
Review 86:free internet and location. I was able to walk to the dock about 100m to where the cruise ships dock.
Review 87:Driving to the hotel very confusing for first timer and not for thefaint of heart! Parking sparse, enough for two cars backed into theentry drive. WiFi internet speed very slow but likley normal for theentire island.
Review 88:Good value for short business stay. Location was good if you are ashopping tourist. Immediately next to the Antigua cruise ship port.
Review 89:Rather noisy, especially on weekends.
Review 90:Decent hotel right in the middle of the capital St. John's. Nothing fancy, great for business travelers or those who are looking to explore St. John's rather than the island's beaches.
Review 91:rooms a bit dated but clean and spacious
Review 92:good location
Review 93:breakfast was somewhat limited in choice
Review 94:central situation
Review 95:The coffee at breakfast was dreadful and the WiFi was hit and miss.
Review 96:Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the heritage, would happily stay again.
Review 97:No remarks
Review 98:Locations of the hotel
Review 99:Huge rooms ! Nice location !
Review 100:I was stuck in the elevator because of a power cut.
Review 101:Customer service was extremely good.
Review 102:Toiletries could have been better.
Review 103:Location in the heart of the capital, close to everything. Excellent wifi coverage. Good size room and a balcony!
Review 104:too expensive compared to what can be obtained for the same price on the beach
Review 105:location
Review 106:Needs to improve on car parking facilities.
Review 107:Location was convenient and surrounded by shops and restaurants.
Review 108:Special rates for vendor, change Tv
Review 109:room floor was not very clean
Review 110:Cold floors
Review 111:Friendly staff
