Review 1：The bathroom was a terrible design. Everything was modern and looked beautiful but designed in such a way that there was water everywhere after showering or even washing in the sink.

Review 4：The style of the hotel with its attractive Black Forest design and cosy rooms. The "superior" bedroom was very attractive and roomy with a comfortable lounge area. Food was excellent with very friendly staff. It is worth noting that whereas the hotel location given on Booking.com is shown as being in Baiersbronn is is actually in Mittelal which is a dormitory village 5 kms from Baiersbronn. However, the location was very good with easy access to the Schwartzwaldhochstrasse which takes you over a beautiful scenic route to visit Baden-Baden, well worth a visit!

Review 5：We probably were in one of their least expensive rooms and it was comfortable, but a bit compact in size.

Review 6：Wonderful indoor pool, easily large enough for swimming laps. Gracious and helpful staff on a number of accounts. Room was a good price for the facilities, including a breakfast buffet - with meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurt, hot egg dishes -that could easily go as a brunch. The staff went the extra mile; when I left a pair of pearl earrings in the room when we checked out, they agreed to mail them to me.

Review 10：Great location - right next to bus stop and several super walking routes. Friendly, efficient staff - nice personal service. Each morning every guest receives a printed weather forecast! Excellent breakfast buffet and restaurant food. Lovely spa area with pool, steam room etc. and outside relaxation area. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay without breaking the bank.

Review 11：The restaurant staff were unhelpful and rude. The menu was only in German and the staff were unwilling to translate for me. What was i supposed to do? The service was then slow (i picked at random) and i was then generally ignored. The food was well prepared though.

Review 30：Not friendly at reception, not shown how to get in and out of hotel as it's disjointed with parts added on. We walked through the dining room all the time when there was a side door that could be used. Not shown where to park. Got to breakfast next morning to be told we were not on the list so no table set for us, very embarrassing in front of guests - their mistake. Had a superior room with lounge etc, very dated. Not worth the money!

Review 31：Location was good for us as it was very close to Hotel Bareiss where we needed to go. We did not use any of the Hotel facilities so can't comment on that.

Review 33：Hotel was very clean and extremely traditional. The fixtures and fittings were good quality, if old fashioned but we thought it added to the overall ambience. Good breakfast buffet and the evening menu was extensive and beautifully cooked and presented.

Review 34：Everything almost shuts down at 10 pm. Quiet hotels have their merit but this is an exceptionally quiet hotel, hard to get a drink in the bar much later than 22:00, impossible by 22:30.

Review 40：Unaufmerksame Bedienungen, Speisekarte gab es nach "Ermahnung" erst nach 13 Minuten, obwohl wenig Betrieb war. Für das Menue gab es die Note 3-, die auf der Karte geweckten Erwartungen wurden nur (sehr) bedingt erfüllt.

Review 42：Our rooms on the 4th floor were not reachable by elevator, which meantwe had to walk up 44 stairs every time. Also, they faced the busy mainstreet. Truck and car traffic lasted until late at night and startedagain early in the morning. In the spa area, there were tiny details - acracked tile, some visible short cables hanging from the ceiling, thattainted a bit the impression of a well-maintained spa area.

Review 43：The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotellayout is beautiful, the pool and spa featuring several saunas and a biggarden. Our rooms were cozy and the bed was amazingly comfortable.Breakfast and dinner were something to look forward to each day!

Review 44：Was so lovely, don't really want to fault it on anything, except...the wifi did not work in the rooms when we were there. They apparently had a malfunction and it only worked in the lobby area. Also, the pictures show people in outdoor hot tubs, and there are not any....I found out later you must order them and pay 65-100 euros. Its a special thing that includes a whole package with Champagne, massage, special minerals in the water, etc. So fair enough. Sounds nice too! All in all, I give it a 9.5 out of 10, Its a bit off the beaten track (about an hour southeast of Baden-Baden) but would like to go back sometime in the future as it's a great romantic getaway.

Review 45：This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, and we've been to 100's around europe. It is nestled in a cosy mountain area, great for hiking. The hotel itself is done out in a very charming way, with lots of wood furnishings that give it a real deluxe chalet feel. We booked a standard room and it was very large, with good size balcony looking out over the mountains. The spa area is very well designed and they do that bit extra with fresh water with lemons, and a bowl of apples. The sauna building is really impressive, made out of logs and fitted with huge pieces of wood that give it a great smell, and very relaxing! Good size L shape pool, and the steam room was nice and hot. I think I read someone saying the breakfast was not up to 4 star standard, but I have to disagree. You typically don't get an omelette chef posted in the breakfast room until you are paying for 5 stars, and there was plenty of selection of breads, grains, cheeses, meats, fruits, etc. The only thing missing was sausages. I'll take the custom made omelette made for me any day. They also bring a very good expresso if you ask for it. We ate dinner there and prices are reasonable. You must try the local dish: meat ravioli. And wash it down with Grauer Burgunder Trocken Wein. Mmmm.
