Reviews for Hotel Piolets

Review 1:The staff, while very willing and kind, seem poorly trained and unprofessional. The rooms lack in cleanliness in the details - check the corners and behind furniture - not worthy of a 4 star rating. The hotel is in dire need of renovation, both for the rooms and for the staff.

Review 2:The restaurant is working much better than last year, with good and varied food, especially the New Year's Eve meal. Still needs better organization of the restaurant staff.

Review 3:Swimming pool very old. Triple room very tight. Bathrooms very old. Food very cheap. No fresh juices. Expensive for what they are giving. I paid extra for swimming pool, Parking, late check out, drinks. No shaver for customers.

Review 4:Easy access to Grandvalita

Review 5:A welcome pack with more details of what's included and what isn't would have helped avoid any confusion about use of spa facilities

Review 6:Location, facilities, and cleanliness of the hotel throughout

Review 7:We picked this hotel as it had a Spa. This was closed and in darkness. Very noisy as we had a room on the road.

Review 8:The location was perfect and staff friendly

Review 9:too many extras: expensive indoor parking, pool... all that should be explained in webpage or booking engine. Food was very varied, quality of some products (sausages and delicatessen could improve)

Review 10:nearness to gondola, friendliness of staff

Review 11:Personal at reception, I got matrimonial bedroom after claiming and changing room. Mountain view also available if you pay. Not possible to late check out, even travelling with baby child.

Review 12:The spa is not good enough and should be included. the bathing cap shouldn't be a must

Review 13:The free wi-fi helps the pharmacy and the ski rent helped

Review 14:Food choices were boring compared to Piolets Spa last year. Food cold Incl beans/mushrooms @ breakfast and pasta for dinner stone cold. Felt like I was complaining all week long. Child room in basement in need of colourful paint as dull and cold (no heating). We actually went to another Hotel (Sport) for some child entertainment incl. pens and and pencils and colouring. Not very child friendly compared to other hotels.. More geared to mature/older clients. Cold unheated lockers in car park (local but - sometimes the boots were damp in morning! We tried to hire heated lockers in main area but they were full as half term. Serving of rice at breakfast very strange (but not with curry previous evening )? One evening at dinner waiter never asked if we wanted a drink ! Over an hour no-one noticed ? You get the feeling you need to ask/prompt them all the time which is very frustrating. Wouldn't stay here again.

Review 15:Location (NB. not the noise at 1.30pm from party people at front of hotel). Families should be at back of hotel facing slopes. Swimming pool every night with small jacuzzi. Chamber maid were fantastic, even folding kids clothes up for us - was very much appreciated at the end of a hard day.

Review 16:Staff could be happier for a 4 star hotel! Couldn't understand them insisting you buy & wear a swimming cap for the pool, but not making people shower between sauna/steam room & jacuzzi!

Review 17:Location is great & room & facilities give good value. Spa is a nice idea, but not really up to much & pool is very small.

Review 18:Unhelpful staff, smelly room 305, no iron and ironing board, mandatory hats for the spa. The room smelled really bad of smoke, I asked to change rooms but instead they sent a maid with air freshener!! Eventually I convinced them to change rooms. Would not stay again.

Review 19:The location.

Review 20:Unfortunatly this is a very noisy hotel at the best of times as noise travels and the rooms are not well sound insulated. With the recent surge in russian customers who are very loud and inconsiderate this is made worse. We had similar problems with russian guests talking and shouting and banging on doors at all hours last year in the sport hotel but the rooms seem better sound insulated there. This could be easily improved in both hotels by installing a secondary door between the bedroom and hall / bathroom. We also had issue one night with groups of youngsters in their cars drinking, shouting and playing car steros very loudly untill three in the morning at the rear car park below the balconies and despite complaining to the night staff they would not do anything or call the police and simply said with a shrug they are young. We do like this hotel but after a week of broken or little sleep will unfortunatly not be returning

Review 21:Excellent location, great views from rooms on the back, good food, friendly atmosphere, great staff.

Review 22:Staff not the friendliest. Pretty expensive for standard of hotel.

Review 23:Great location, right by the cable car and lift.

Review 24:Very expensive. Asked for a double bed and had two singles side by side.

Review 25:Super close to the ski lifts, restaurants and bars.

Review 26:We had a room facing the street. Very noisy music at night from a bar nearby. Beds very uncomfortable and no double beds.

Review 27:Location

Review 28:Nothing

Review 29:Everything

Review 30:Everything, fantastic staff

Review 31:Awful buffet dinner, worn bed and disappointing having to pay to use the pool

Review 32:Great breakfast and great location for the ski-lift next door

Review 33:location staff food

Review 34:Bar was too quiet, no atmosphere.

Review 35:Location, good bars near by.

Review 36:La calidad de la comida

Review 37:La situación del hotel respecto las pistas La tranquilidad

Review 38:Very busy breakfast with queues for coffee & tea with incredibly slow machines. Very badly planned. Only wifi in lobby area, not in bedrooms

Review 39:Location close to ski lifts & all shops & restaurants Bedroom overlooking slopes Spacious bar area & outdoor balcony overlooking slopes Lovely hot powerful showers

Review 40:Nasty smell in the room. Old and unclean carpet. No wifi in the rooms. Only a poor signal in the common areas. Breakfast poor By no means a 2,5 / 3 stars hotel if not for the excellent location

Review 41:*expensive parking garage inside *payable parking outside *payable safe *no ski boots at the hotels

Review 42:*perfect location *friendly staff *meets skiers needs - ski lockers, etc. *free wifi in lobby

Review 43:The food was generally cool or tepid. It was rather bland and often the plates had not been washed up properly and were dirty underneath. The swimming pools were expensive and rather small.

Review 44:The staff, the access to the ski slopes, the view from the balcony. The coffee was good. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, particularly the man who skis a lot. It was good to have the ski shop so near.

Review 45:It was not possible to by skipass for beginners here ,so beginners has to by normal skipass for 44 euro (beginners cost 29 euro) Parking has to be done early before it is occupied, but you can park in the hotell. Parking cost from 4 euro a day.

Review 46:Short walking distance to the cable car. Breakfest was good .And dinner was better here then most hotels in Andorra. The beginner slopes are among the best in Andorra.

Review 47:Noise from the street and the floor. Check-in was terrible they wanted me to write my CC details on a piece of paper along with my name and address..... I have never been asked for this from a hotel before - I gave a cash payment up front.... I will not be back.

Review 48:Breakfast was good.

Review 49:Hot dishes were always cold and had to use microwave to warn up! Whenchecking hotel info looks like spa included. It is not got to pay€9/day/person to use the pool/hot tub/sauna (steam bath out of order!).

Review 50:Very convenient as less than 5 minutes walking distance to telecabine

Review 51:I didn't like paying for the car parking or paying for use of the pool. My room was a family room but had no windows apart from a skylight. It was very hot even with no heating on, despite being the winter. The carpet in the room was a little tired looking. There was also quite a lot of noise from outside the hotel from traffic and people. The worst thing however was the food, it is a buffet style and wasn;t that warm. quality was quite low. Hotel might suit families on a low budget but I expected more for what I paid.

Review 52:The location is excellent next to the ski lift with great views of the ski slopes from the hotel. The underground parking was good as was the swimming pool. Great to be able to access the ski shop straight from the hotel. The staff were also very attentive.

Review 53:The internet, should login every time and put again user name & password

Review 54:The spa is a bit small... And some staffs are not very polite.

Review 55:Excellent location! And the spa is quite relaxing after a long ski day!

Review 56:Rooms must be refurnished, specially bathroom, tv, bed...

Review 57:Best location
