Built in 1789 with 8 generations of family ownership, the Traube Tonbach is a traditional hotel offering spacious cottage-style rooms with elegant wooden furniture and a flat-screen TV. All rooms include a luxury bathroom and a balcony with panoramic Black Forest views.
A full breakfast buffet and afternoon cafe are provided. Award-winning French and local Black Forest cuisine are served at the Schwarzwaldstube restaurant. Guests can also dine in the elegant Köhlerstube restaurant, the rustic-style Bauernstube lounge or in the romantic Silberberg restaurant.
The Traube Spa features a heated outdoor pool and offers panoramic views of the Black Forest. Guests also have free use of the indoor pool, 4 hot tubs, Finnish sauna, steam room and fitness centre. A wide variety of massages and beauty treatments can also be booked.

Review 1：No electric kettle, coffee and tea.

Review 2：Check in was a breeze with the staff taking care of the luggage and the car. Good introduction of the room and facilities post check in. Good sized room with a great breakfast buffet. The property is set in beautiful surroundings.

Review 5：Sound travel is awful; impossible to sleep in. No internet for 24 hours with no proper apology or explanation. Curtains are paper thin. Room decor is old fashioned. The music in the bar is ridiculously bad.

Review 7：The location is breathtaking. Hotel services and installations are great. Breakfast is superb and dinning at the Koehlerstube is wonderful. The pools are fantastic for all ages and the beverages/ food are very reasonably priced. A fantastic place to stay and enjoy the forest.

Great location for hiking the trails in the surrounding woods and hills. Free parking was easily accessible, although the hotel didn't appear to be very crowded.

Our lunch at Die Schwarzwaldstube was memorable for numerous reasons and we were delighted that both Chef Wohlfahrt & the owner, Mr. Finkbeiner, were on site and visited our table. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the breakfast room was beautifully appointed.
