Reviews for Chalets Adler
Review 1:Be aware there's a 100CHF cleaning charge added to the price which booking.com doesn't take into account in its headline price. Not much if you're a group of five staying for a week, but quite a difference if you're only staying one night.
Review 2:Excellent location 2 minutes from the station and 40 minutes from Interlaken by car. We had a chalet which slept five - two double/twin rooms and a bed on the landing. Very comfy, very clean, shop across the road for food. Fully equipped kitchen and dining and longer areas with plenty room to spread out. Surrounded by mountains and the hotel gives you a money off card for local attractions, buses etc.
Review 3:There is no insulation between the ground floor and the upper floor. We could hear every step 'they' made, we could even hear them going to the toilet. We asked for a plug for the kitchen sink - it never came so we made do with a plastic bag or just letting the water run. The plug in the hand basin in the bathroom had something wrong so we struggled to move it up and down hence the water drained out very slowly and the hand basin had residue left. After putting up with it for 3 days we finally asked and it was fixed immediately for which we were very grateful. Perhaps nothing to do with you - it seems there was a young family upstairs. Four times we had 'water' (or ? else) leaking to downstairs but each time it leaked at a different spot. The man who first came to check thought it was the kitchen but decided not after checking. We felt bad for making comment each time it happened; finally realised it was probably a young child spilling water or something else. Once that family left there were no more leaks. Lounge - it would have been helpful to have some cushions as I am short; in hindsight I should have just used a pillow for more support.
Review 4:Location - perfect Kitchenette so we were able to eat in instead of eating out as we had been doing up until then. No-one coming in each day to make our bed etc
Review 5:Poor shower in one of bathrooms, dangerous stairs for very young kids, decor and way rooms divided up was quite amateur.
Review 6:Location, cosy sitting room with wood burner, garden by river. Reasonable but small kitchen. Very clean.
Review 7:I resent having to pay for clean towels after 2 nights of using the ones given to us, therefore we did not and just showered the 3rd morning with the old ones.
Review 8:The view of the mountains from our room was wonderful. The hostesses for breakfast were wonderful.
Review 9:Hotel's restaurant is extremely overpriced. If you are on the first floor (apartment), you can hear every step of the neighbors from the second floor. The location of the town (Kandersteg) is not ideal.
Review 10:The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall the apartment is comfortable & well equipped. The location of the hotel is good, in the middle of the town, in front of the tourist information and the supermarket. Excellent Wi-Fi.
Review 11:I have nothing to say I do not like this Everything was perfect I have everything what i need for living cooking and touring and purchasing groceries in a good place good people convinient to every thing its simply like you am in the lap of nature
Review 12:only one bathroom and toilet for 3 bedrooms-unacceptable. pillows terrible-my husband and i still have a bad neck from the ancient pillows . the bedlinen is old and worn-definately needs throwing away. no english on tv except for bbc news. the main problem was the price for using the pool. since when do you have to pay for use of the pool for the whole week.who knows how many times you will use it.70 francs for each member. i took my son on the last day of our holiday for a swim but they told me that i shoulsd have paid when we arrived.i wasnt even told this but i wouldnt have paid that mich anyway.arip off hotel-wouldnt stay there again.also they ask you to pay 2 francs for the rubbish bins-what a joke.these are archaic rules and you really need to update these services for your customers to go away happy.we didnt eat in the hotel for the reasons above because we felt cheated even though the food is good.comeon adler-you can do better than this!!
