With a 100-year history, Simplon House is located 2 minutes by car and 15 minutes by foot from Oeschinen Cable Car and boasts views of the Bernese Alps. It comprises a common living room with comfortable sofas and a dining area with a piano.
All wood-panelled rooms at the Simplon House are simply furnished. They come with bunk beds and a wardrobe. Bathroom and toilet facilities are shared, located on the floors.
Guests can start their day with a breakfast on site. Dinners are available as well, and fondue treats are served on request and at extra cost.
Wi-Fi is offered in all areas for free. Free private parking is possible on the property. A bus stops right in front of the building, and the Kandersteg Train Station is reachable in a 15-minute walk.

Review 1：Expect the walk from train to be about 20 min. It's not long but not as close as we thought. The bus runs on the hour. The walk though allows you to see the local surroundings and explore. Bikes are available for a fee. I would like to see these provided to quests free of charge to enjoy. For a family cost adds up and it would be a nice amenity to include. Only other negative which really is a positive is that we wish we could have stayed longer. So much to do so little time.
Review 2：Our family of 4 was warmly greeted by Philipe. Accommodations were clean and quiet. Separate bath/ toilet in hall were kept spotless. Separate sink in room allowed for quick clean up. We never had to wait to use the facilities. Our room for 4 was 2 bunk beds with a small desk, armoire for clothes with excellent Wifi and 2 large windowns that opened. Even on an unusually hot day, it was comfortable with a nice breeze and cooled considerably at night. Beautiful area to hike in a quaint town. We did not pay for breakfast but easily grabbed quiche/croissants in the morning from a local bakery n fruit from grocery store before beginning our day. Linens were provided n very comfortable. Towels are additional but we packed our own. Just remember this is not the Hampton but a simple, Swiss chalet building with beautiful flowers that is a good value by Swiss standards. Always clean n quiet. We were always greeted with a warm smile from Philipe and she was always warm and helpful with suggestions and shared her knowledge of the area. Enjoy your stay

Review 6：員工很親切會盡可能滿足您所有需求，譬如說需要熱水煮泡麵或是吹風機 really nice hosts, they will satisfy all your needs as possible as they can for example, if you need hot water to cook instant noodles or you need a dryer and so on... 有241公車可從車站直接到Simplon但一小時只有一班，如果用走的要半小時左右 you can take Bus 241 from the station to Simplon (5-10min), but 1hr 1 bus if you walk from the station it will take about 30 mins
Review 7：The staff were all so friendly and helpful and ready to answer any question we could come up with! We especially enjoyed visiting with Philippe. The laundry service was a great surprise, breakfast had lots of options and was delicious, the small rooms were just right for a bit of privacy and the sink in the room was a welcome addition. The location is a bit out of the way, but the bus was regular and the guest card allowed us to ride for free. Kandersteg was one of our favorite places in all of Switzerland!
Review 8：Our room was quite noisy. The railway is a few meters away from Simplon House and trains were running until late at night and also early in the morning.

Review 17：We stayed here during the summer with our 4 kids. The room was very comfortable, it had bunkbeds which we al shared. The hotel had shared bathrooms and showers. The hotel is very simple, but very comfortable, and the staff were the best! They helped us with anything and everything we needed, and were very nice to our children.
Review 18：Breakfast was a bit expensive especially with small children - would be nice to have a child rate as well.
Review 19：We stayed at Hotel Simplon for two nights for a ski weekend. Staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. Our room for 4 (2 adults and 2 children) was small but beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Great location to walk into Kandersteg and to drive to nearby ski resorts. Nice common room to sit in for apres-ski with plenty of game options for the children. Ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was very good.
