Opened in April 2012, located on the Vegetable Market in Brno's centre, the Grandezza is a luxurious 4-star boutique hotel featuring a hand-painted glass ceiling and marble mosaics. Free Wi-Fi is available, and guests benefit from a 24-hour reception.

Review 1：junior suite No 509 has inadequate natural lighting (only one small skylight about cca 50 cm x 30 cm in bedroom and small window in living room cca 50cm x 80 cm); the room was very warm , the temperature could not be regulated; on 31.12.2015 the restaurant was fully booked and even though we stayed in the hotel , we did not have access to the restaurant

Review 5：The complimentary toiletries were not refilled before our arrival, but this problem was immediately fixed. The shower was only half height over the bath, and the bath was not fully enclosed. Saying that, the water pressure was great and in general was not an issue :)

Review 7：I found the bed a bit hard (despite the fact I like hard beds, this one was bit too much) No ventilation in the bathroom ... I don't like the fact that the hotel does not respect the currency of booking ... I have booked in CZK, Booking converted to Euro, the hotel took the Euro payment and converted it to CZK according to a "Hotel rate" which was completely off the exchange rate of the day. The choice to pay in Euro was also not there as the card terminal would transfer the payment to CZK too .... So the rate of the stay was a bit higher because of this nonsense conversions between currencies.

Review 8：Generally satisfied, room with nice view especially with the Xmas market it was beautiful . Sufficient variety of food during the breakfast , tasty. Location wise great . the personnel was helpful and pleasant.

Review 11：Brilliant location. One of the Brno Christmas Markets was located in the square that the Grandezza overlooks and was spectacular. The hotel is in a central location. the room was lovely as was the food in the restaurant both for breakfast and for lunchtime.

Review 14：This really was an excellent hotel for the amount it cost. Very good central location (walking distance from anywhere in central Brno) and good room sizes.

Review 15：This is a really lovely hotel with fantastic staff. We had the standard deluxe double room and it was a great size, bed was huge, tv was huge, shower was huge and lovely, we were on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the market. The minibar is free and stocked daily (beer, orange juice, water) and the restaurant and bar are really nice. All the staff were really, really helpful and we had a great stay.

Review 16：Bad experience with a rude and unhelpful, condescending receptionist at a time 10 am on 22 nd Nov .Not cut out to work with customers, all other staff were cheery and helpful.

Review 27：Hotel Grandezza is our place to stay when in Brno. Great location for the city, shopping, very quite square after reconstruction, balcony views at church. Parking in front of the hotel or valet. Quality cafe, restaurant in the house.

Review 28：The bed was 2 singles pushed together, would have preferred a double bed (did ask for a double). The signal on the tv kept cutting out every few minutes which was a bit annoying. Not really major complaints, would recommend staying here, this was our second time.

Review 32：The young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and saved my son's trip to Munich after the german railroad closed the line because of the immigrants trying to get aboard the trains in Salzburg. She changed the railroad reservation to a bus ticket and got him to Munich on time. Excellent job

Review 36：Wonderful, wonderful building. It used to be a bank, then became part of Brno university, before being converted into a top class hotel. Location on the square, where a daily fruit and vegetable market sets up is fabulous. Lobby is spectacular.

Review 38：Concierge, reception staff and waiters couldn't do enough for me, I felt like royalty. Only hiccup was that reception wouldn't take driving license as ID, insisting on passport which was packed in my luggage (I drove to the hotel) but put that down to the receptionist being 'new'. Room was large, well appointed and great views. Breakfast had a very good selection. Restaurant recommended - relatively small menu but very well prepared fresh food. For me it has a feel of an upmarket '20's/'30's Bohemian establishment. Oh, and the minibar was free - nice surprise.

Review 59：Fantastic location, tasteful decor, we got an upgrade which is a major treat to us - we normally travel on a very low budget but since we're foregoing another trip next month due to work commitments, we decided to get a nice hotel for a night in Brno. We were in the country for a friend's wedding and decided to stay an extra night to have a look around. Would definitely recommend, we both had a great stay.

Review 60：Oh my word what a fantastic hotel, from the start when I droppped my bag in at 10am into their storage facility, the porter couldnt have been more helpful. The room was spotless, free mini bar, bathrobes, beautiflu decor. Very very quiet, the bed was comnfortable, I was on my own and felt very safe. I would definitely stay there again. And it was right where I wanted to be in Brno.

Review 61：Comfortable and spotless room. Nice location on pretty square. The hotel café had the most amazing cake selection and was perfect for coffee or evening pre dinner drinks. The hotel restaurant was more expensive than local places in the vicinity but perfect for a special meal. The food was delicious. The massage space in the old bank vault is a nice design feature!

Review 92：This hotel always has issues with air conditioning. When it's not working (quite frequently) - your only choice is open windows. When you open windows you hear trams (if your room is facing sideways), people from the square and two clock/bell towers (each 15 min). Some rooms only have shower (no bath). The wardrobes are strange: while they seem big, fitting enough clothes for two is not possible, and I always have to request extra hangers. Everything else is fine with this hotel. For me it's this or Barcelo.

Review 93：Good location, breakfast. Excellent staff. Huge TVs and fast Wi-Fi. This is my n-th stay there and I've finally discovered that they do have indeed rooms facing the courtyard! No view, but much quieter, even with open windows.

Review 94：If you arrive by car, the hotel is in a restricted area, only for pedestrians. If one were to mind the traffic rules, one could not park the car in front of the hotel, though for hotel residents it is allowed to drive the car to the hotel, but we were not informed before.

Review 99：Check in advance if air conditioning is really enabled (they have "seasons", apparently, when it's not globally on yet. It took them several days to get it working for us). If not, and if your sleep is sensitive - you're doomed to closed windows: two pretty loud bell towers (church + city hall clock) on one side and tram on the other side = choose between fresh air or sleep in 15-min intervals. Everything else is minor: The wardrobe in "Junior suite" was barely enough for a single person, with some shelves missing :) Sometimes at breakfast waiters forget about you, or about refilling the plates with food at the buffet, but that can be helped :)

For ladies it is better as they generally don't want their hair to get wet all the time... :-)
