Review 1：The rooms were amazing and the staff was excellent! We had a flat tire one morning on our rental car and the maintenance man pointed it out to us, and without even asking, proceeded to change the tire for us. Truly went above and beyond!!

Review 2：It didn't have a TV or a few other comforts expected of a hotel. However, we would still go back, it was an incredible experience!

Review 4：1. We had booked a lovely room (premiere suite) for 3 nights. The first night we were awakened at midnight by LOUD music, voices, partying coming through the wall. We called the front desk and the music ended immediately, but not the loud voices. The next morning we asked if we could be moved to another room, our request was denied. When we returned from our day-long tour, we went to our room to rest only to hear our LOUD neighbors again. We went to the front desk to ask again for another room, this time they complied. They gave us a room with the same floor plan, but it was way back on the property, all the plants around the patio were scraggly, and no WiFi... We were the ones inconvenience, not the rowdy neighbors. 2. There was absolutely no WiFi signal in our second room. In the lobby, it was intermittent. When we asked about the WiFi, we were told it was the weather, another time we were told it was because they were switching their server, provider, etc. 3. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. It was reminiscent of school cafeteria food. 4. We ate one evening meal at the "international restaurant", it was mediocre and way overprice. Do not pay for meals at the hotel, go into Fortuna. You will have lots of options with really good food at good prices. 5. If you have not already booked tours, your options will be limited to tours that Mountain Paradise provides. Their sales pitch is that you will have a "private" tour. Our tour to Cano Negro was fabulous, our 2-combo tour (bridges and waterfall) not so much. 6. If you to do not have a car you will pay $8 per person for a round trip into town and back.

Review 5：1. The grounds were beautiful. It is a gated hotel, so unless your name is on the hotel's guest list, you will have trouble getting inside. 2. We arrived 2 hrs before check-in. Since our room was ready, they took us to our suite. 3. Greeted each day by a different towel "animal" sitting on our bed. Fun!

Review 8：The hotel is kind of run down; lacks a lot of maintenance - the furniture is old, the bed is uncomfortable and the pillows smelly, the towels and bedding are old (even with holes!), the lock on our room didn't work throughout our whole stay, and the internet is a joke - they claim it is all over the property, but you can only get a signal from the front desk. This was probably a nice property once - but it needs a lot of work now to get it back on track. The included breakfast is also kind of sad; not what you expect for the kind of property this advertises to be, and the rates in charges. We got much better quality and value in many other places around Costa Rica.

Review 14：food in main restaurant is horrible! quality of food product is mediocre at best and cooked poorly , they make an effort on presentation to try to hide but it isn't working. you can get much better food in town and cheaper. rooms are not very clean and bathroom is absolutely filthy and beat-up , needs some serious maintenance and deep cleaning!!!! also this apply to the entire property when you look around you can quickly see the budget restriction in maintenance . who ever manage or own that property is supper cheap !! overall cleanliness is a big issue and it starts in the bathroom lobby, the urine smell is making its way trough the lobby. employees are nice and seems devoted to do well , it looks like this hotel is lacking of management and knowledgeable leadership through out the property prices are steep ( room rate included) and you don't get any value for it.
