Review 1：- Mattress not great - Wifi access is poor and only available for 6 hours per day - this should be changed. - No kettle in the room

Review 8：Location was 5 mins walk to the main town. Clean, tidy and friendly staff. Being able to park our motorbike in a dedicated bike garage area was a bonus. Nice large room.

Review 11：No lift! We had to climb three flights of steep stairs with luggage to reach our room. Very limited range of TV channels on \TV in room. No English or French language channels. Neither the hotel nor the restaurant accept payments by VISA credit card. This should be emphasised in advance. Meals taken in the Maximillian restaurant (which seems to be run as a seperate business) cannot be added to room bill. No mention was made of Wi-Fi at check-in and there was no reference to Wi-Fi or Internet in the information folder in the room.

Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful (some multi-lingual); public areas had traditional charm whilst bedrooms were modern, clean and comfortable; parking was free and plentiful. Excellent breakfast and dinner, and the in-house wine tasting for guests was a nice added bonus.

Review 19：Just about everything. The room is efficient. The bathroom is modern and practical. Breakfast was superb. The restaurant was quite good, too. The hotel and restaurant staff were fantastic. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Simply no complaints...a lovely experience.

Review 28：The first night here I hardly slept because the carpet and drapes had so much dust that I developed a throbbing headache in bed. I had to sit up, take both pain killers and allergy medicine to help with the pain. The room and hallways smelled very musty and there was a spiderweb above our bed. I found another hotel on my ipad at about 3:00AM. We had booked 2 more nights at this hotel and had to forfeit 80% of the other 2 nights. Since I had a medical problem, I would have appreciated a bigger discount than 20% off. Do not stay at this hotel if you are allergic to dust.

Review 29：The hotel had a good location which was walking distance to shops, restaurants, shops, and the bridge to Kues. The staff at the hotel seemed very friendly. The woman who checked us in was friendly and the waitress at the restaurant who spoke excellent English was very helpful with our dinner meal.

Review 32：This hotel does not accept Visa, MasterCard etc. It is verydisconcerting to have to pay out a few hundred euros from one's cashbudget on the first day of a lengthy holiday - or otherwise try to finda local atm.

Review 34：The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped and we both enjoyed an excellent sleep. The hotel also had a garage area to store our motorcycle, which was great because there was a bit of heavy rain during our visit. We ate in the restaurant on both nights of our stay ; the food was excellent. If you are planning a visit to this area of the Moselle then we would recommend staying at this hotel.

Review 63：The requirement to pay in cash is a severe disadvantage, given that credit cards are now widely accepted in Germany. Drawing cash from a local bank carries a charge which adds to one's costs. The need to settle one's bill with the lady who serves breakfast is embarrassing, particularly as it brings with it the distinct feeling that a tip is expected.

Review 64：The hotel is well located with adequate secure parking, is within easy walking distance of the centre of town, and is quiet and very comfortable. Breakfasts, included in the price, are generous.

Review 74：This was our second visit. The quality of the whole hotel is outstanding. The style of food is very Germanic but executed to a very good standard. If it were changed to be a little more interesting it would lift this hotel into the superclass. The comfort room in which we stayed and especially the bathroom are better than hotels we have stayed in costing twice as much. Herr Nelius is a delight to talk to, do not miss one of his cellar tours and wine tasting and of course buy some of his wine!

Review 75：Inconvenient to not be able to use credit cards for payment. Considering we were paying for accommodation, meals and cases of wine, a considerable amount of cash was required. This was not very considerate (there are restictions on daily withdrawals from cash machines) of the hotel and they might like to know we would have spent more if credit cards had been accepted.
