Review 1：Would have preferred for breakfast to be included, took it 2 of 3 mornings but not aware of cost.

Review 2：Great location and good facilities. Enjoyed the size of swimming pool.

Review 3：Not child friendly. No kids menu. Lots of pub noise at night. Snogging couples in pool. Asked for 50% deposit although no deposit and free cancellation on booking.

Review 5：The room I was in was called the "love room" which was quite old fashioned and kitsch. Being a 58 year old man without his wife along not the room I really wanted!

Review 7：A real bathrobe would do wonders for me, rather than the somewhat skimpy long white jacket currently used. The spa area was a little bit lacking. Add a pile of clean towels, the steam bath turned on and warm rather than off, dark and cold would make all the difference.

Review 16：The cost of wine - it was cheaper on top of a Swiss mountain! But this was the same as other Swiss hotels..we'd have liked coffee/tea making in our room too!. NO MORE E-MAILS OR PUBLICITY PLEASE.

Review 20：Love kandersteg. Hate this hotel. Bed hard. Pillow stinks of stalecigarettes (used blow-up travel pillow for entire stay). Bathroom doordoesn't close. Had to use a coin to screw luggage rack back together asnearly fell apart when opened. Warmest place in room is the minibarfridge. Tv remote doesn't work. Wifi advertised as "free throughouthotel" works only occasionally and only in the lobby. Customer service:older man (manager I think) rude and unhelpful - on first night let himknow the wifi was not working - told me I had to "learn how to use mydevice (iPad)", had nothing to do with him/hotel. Maintained this vieweven when another couple complained of same issue... So beware, mass techno-amnesia seems rife in hotel Adler guests.My view: this hotel is mutton dressed as lamb. They promote their swimming pool and sauna (trying to seem classy) but can't get the basics like comfortable bedding, functional rooms, basic customer service right. There are lots of hotels in kandersteg... This one is the pits and rubbish value for money - go elsewhere.

Review 22：The staff was not particularly friendly. In the room not much room for our luggage. There was a walk-in closet, but it was very small and dark (light didn´t work). During our whole stay (5 days), the wifi didn´t work at all, which was a pity because we use it to plan our daily trips and to check the weatherforecast.

Review 23：Our room was cozy, with all the woodwork, and nicely decorated. It looked very nice, except for the finishing touch here and there, that was a bit sloppy. Our room had a nice balcony and the view was great. Bathroom nice and clean. The walls are thin like paper though. Breakfast was good. We loved to use the swimmingpool, which was quite big, but the area could use some redecoration. Location is great, in the center of Kandersteg, and only a 5 minute walk from the station.

Review 24：I could hear the trains from the bedroom I was in however the view wasamazing so I could live with the trains. These however do not runsometime after 10ish at night.. The pool was a little cold for this timeof the year and it would have been nice if there had been piped music inthe pool area.

Review 25：The staff were friendly and available. Breakfast was included andexcellent value. Rooms were clean and the views good. We ate dinner atthe hotel too and the food was really good, hot and on time. The staffat the spar were accommodating and extremely good at their jobs.

Review 26：Some of the rooms could do with a makeover with minor repairs requiredto light fittings, etc. Room cleaning was sometimes chaotic with roomsnot cleaned until late afternoon.The swimming pool area was notparticularly welcoming and could do with decorating.
