Review 1：Rather odd that the proprietress wouldn't let us sit where we wanted to sit. She had the 6 of us sit in a very tight and dark booth. Perhaps our great deal through e-bookers made her decide where we should sit for breakfast. This happened on morning 2 and 3. They were not even very busy
Review 2：Kandersteg was a lovely town and very convenient to all of the sites we wanted to visit.
Review 3：Not especially cheap, but that's true of most Swiss hotels.
Review 4：The staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was fine, but the staff are why we would happily stay here again!
Review 5：The staff was the friendliest we have met on our trip. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued as guests. The breakfast was great, one of the best we have had in the 9 days in Switzerland.
Review 6：The only minor negative was that the pillows were a little too soft for our liking. In fairness, I'm sure they would have been happy to give us something different had we been bothered enough to ask, but it was fine enough so we didn't.
Review 7：The owners and staff were all wonderful and very accommodating. The restaurant was excellent (can't stress excellent enough) for dinner, and the breakfast was a perfect start to the day of hiking. We felt so comfortable and perfectly taken care of for our stay we wished we had booked an additional night (or more).

Review 11：We were made to feel very welcome at the Bernerhof, even though this was just a one night stopover for us en route to Italy. It was great to be given an upgrade - to a lovely, large dual aspect room. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast with good service.
Review 12：Located in the centre of Kandersteg this beautiful family run hotel is definitely the place to stay. The welcome was warm and check-in took less than 60 seconds. The rooms were spotlessly clean with amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was typically Swiss with fresh fruit salad, birchermuseli, meats, cheeses, breads etc. All in all a great choice and I would recommend this hotel.

Review 20：We can't speak highly enough of this hotel. Claudia and Gerhard were incredibly welcoming and all the staff were so helpful and kind. The little touches they added were so thoughtful. When we requested a fondue on our last night they went to so much of trouble for us even though we provided little notice! Our room was large with a magnificent view, you can't beat the location! The food was also excellent. A fantastic experience all round.

Review 23：As is common with all European hotels, there are no flat sheets providedon the beds. Only a duvet with a cover. Flat sheets are always nice incase you are hot, the duvets with covers are very heavy also. You canseparate the duvet cover but it still is 2 layers thick. I think all thehotels should offer flat sheets. Plus a made bed with one comforterlooks better than duvets folded on the bed. I did not ask for a flatsheet, I just mention this as a suggestion to the hotel. Of course, thisshould not discourage someone from staying at this hotel. It wasbeautiful and first rate.
Review 24：I liked the location of the hotel. The breakfast and amenities wereexcellent. It would be nice if a refrigerator was made available to keepdrinks cold since the hotel does not offer an ice machine.
Review 25：The owners and and staff at Bernerhof were very kind and attentive in the most pleasant way. The hotel is very comfortable and cozy, yet unpretentious. And Kandersteg is an unbelievable location, maybe the most beautiful place I've ever been to. Dreaming of returning to Hotel Bernerhof again!
Review 26：Everything. The thing that was the very best though, was the view from our bed when we woke up in the morning. Our eyes feasted on the beautiful snow capped mountains, four waterfalls cascading down the mountain and the beautiful meadow and church below. The entire staff is most helpful and gracious. Every afternoon there is cake and tea and a chance to get to know the other guests. We have stayed here several times and can't wait to get back again.

Review 53：Our third stay (in six years) with the current owners and they have maintained very high standards throughout. Clearly they care passionately about their hotel and are very much in evidence. Super room at the front of the hotel with mountain view; spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Half-board meals very good value and good choice. Staff extremely attentive and friendly. One of our favourite hotels - just wish we could stay more often! Location is brilliant for the Berner Oberland and for travelling south to Italy as well.

Review 57：This was our second visit to Bernerhof. Without any doubt, Kandersteg + Bernerhof is one of the best travel choices during summer to us. Fantastic scenery from the hotel balcony cannot be forgotten. Just remember to book a room with mountain view if possible. Wonderful hotel from the family of Lehmann!
Review 58：Considering that this hotel is a three star hotel I cannot say anything bad about it. Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The only thing which has to be mentioned as negative is the food and its price. However it is applicable to all other places in Kandersteg. The quality of food is very poor. However it costs a lot. So I recommend to buy your food from one of the supermarkets.
Review 59：Bernerhof Swiss Quality Hotel is the most attractive looking hotel in the town. It also takes the prize for the best location. Other hotels in the town cannot compete with this hotel. The staff and service were excellent. I requested almond milk for breakfast, and my request was acknowledged. Our room was small but lovely. It had a little balcony and mountain views. All night I could listen to brawling river.

Review 63：I want to make it perfectly clear that this is a marvelous hotel. I sent in a review from my cell phone and marked the wrong circle thinking that the first circle was excellent. I did not see the words at the top on my phone so I marked the whole review as poor when I wanted to say excellent. We have stayed here twice now and look forward to coming back again. Their breakfasts are very good and they have an afternoon tea with tea and cakes. This tea time gives you and opportunity to visit with the other guests. The owners are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the view from the window is beautiful. You look right out on the white capped mountains, the waterfalls and a beautiful field of wildflowers. The half-board arrangement turned out to be very good with a 4 course meal, excellently prepared and at a very reasonable price for Switzerland. The hotel has a good feel about it and is excellently situated with stunning views and only a short walk from the railway station.

The staff including the husband and wife owner-team were extremely friedly and helpful. All aspects of dinner in the hotel's restaurant was excellent. The hotel corridors are wide and all the public rooms spacious. I was extremely impressed with this hotel.

Review 77：The bernerhof is a great hotel!! We stayed there for one night. The check-in was quick. The rooms are very nice, you will find all you need. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere. The food aswell as the service was tip top! In two words: top hotel! I would just like to add a few words about the critics that you can read about this hotel: - the atmosphere is great, gives you the feeling to be welcome anytime again. - you cannot here anything from the room next to you.
