Housed in a 1890s meticulously restored mansion, the family-run Charalambos Holiday Cottage is located in Kalavasos, 2.5 miles from Zigi and Governor’s Beach. It offers self-catering accommodation and includes an on-site swimming pool, free sun loungers and pool towels. A shaded area where guests may enjoy meals and drinks is also available.
Each of the traditional apartments includes a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Custom-made iron beds, Ralph Lauren bath towels and bedding, free WiFi and an LCD TV with local and international channels are standard. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning.
Guests are greeted with a seasonal, own-produced fruit basket or fruit sweets, own-produced olive oil, bottle of homemade wine, coffee/tea, soft drinks and bottled water upon check in. Charalambos Holiday Cottage is within walking distance to a local market and taverns serving traditional Cypriot food.
Public parking is available in less than 350 feet from the house. Limassol City is around 18.6 miles away, while Larnaca International Airport is at a distance of 24.9 miles. The owners, over a welcome drink, will advise guests on places to visit along with local activities like horseback riding and hiking or local attractions, like the neolithic settlements of Tenta and Chirokitia.

Review 7：Where to start? Firstly, the courtesy, attentiveness and hospitality of our host, Andreas, who met us in the square and guided us to the apartments in a sensitively renovated traditional village house. A thoughtful touch was the provision of drinks in the fridge and of basic cooking essentials like salt, sugar, and olive oil. Both the apartment and the well-shaded terrace and pool were kept perfectly clean. Three restaurants and a small supermarket are within walking distance and a wider range of shops including baker and butcher a few minutes drive away. Last but by no means least, the bed was firm but extremely comfortable with, it seemed from the lack of disturbance, separate mattresses.

Review 9：We loved our stay here! Andreas was the perfect host and really went the extra mile to make you feel like a welcome guest. The apartment itself was small but very comfortable and well equipped. The pool area and tables is fab to just sit and relax. It was no issue to park in the centre of town as it's a short walk to the apartments. The actual village itself is lovely and has a well stocked shop and several taverns. Andreas has good local knowledge and gives plenty of advice on places you can visit. Our initial reservations about being out of the way was nothing to be concerned about as the location is very good to visit Limassol, Larnaca or the Troodos mountains as the road network here is great. We did have a hire car which I think is essential for this location.

Review 18：Everything was more than perfect and we really want to thank Andreas and Simoni (the owners) for the very nice stay we had. When we arrived Andreas was waiting for us with a good wine (of his own production) and refreshing juice for our little boy. He told us many things about Cyprus and the nice places we had to visit on the island. Every day when we came back of excursion we had a nice time with him to share our experiences. The swimming pool is also very refreshing and clean. The room was also perfect, towels were changed almost every day and our beds were more than comfortable. The kitchen is really good furnished with good quality equipments. The bathroom was also really clean and even soap and shampoo was provided. To resume, Andreas and his lovely family were always looking to do something to make us feeling good. The location of the cottage is also really good to visit the island and you will find some restaurants in the village (Retro tavern served us nice local dishes we could enjoy)! Review 30：This has been our second stay in Charalambos and it was even better than the first one. This time we have decided to visit the place with our families. They (and we as well) were amazed by the place and by the guests – their hospitality, kindness and warmth. The hosts were an excellent source of the hints what we could/should visit, where we could eat a decent food and buy a nice bottle of wine. When we were looking for a place to dine in Kalavasos, they were so kind to check out by themselves if the best place is open at that time. And we enjoy spending a bit of the time with them on a make-up lunch and their kind visit for an Easter breakfast (with some local specialties). The place itself has all the required amenities and could be a hideout from the external world (if you would like to spend a whole day in the garden) or a superb base for trips around Cyprus (location is quite in the middle of everything worth visiting). All of us had a great time with Charalambos and its hosts and we would definitely like to get back there and recommend the place for others.

Review 32：My husband & I travelled with our 15 month old son. At first we were worried as it was a first village stay and wonder if it will be a challenge to have our kid with us. However Charalambos Holiday Cottage exceeds expectations! When we arrive, Simoni greeted us and helped with the bags. We were served with delicious homemade cake and drinks. Simoni made extra effort to ensure the comfort of our baby by providing us with a babycot, baby bath tub, baby chair, baby utensils and toys! It felt like home, just in paradise. Waking up to the sound of nature and a backdrop of the mountains. We were in love with the place and on day 1 we were so sad about having to leave in 3 days. Room amenities was complete and room was clean and interestingly decorated. As for the village(Kalavasos), everyone was so friendly! We would reccommend going to the Bridge House Tavern for lunch or dinner. We will definitely come back in the future with more friends and family.

Andreas and Simoni were brilliant throughout our stay and provided us with a number of local delicacies to try. The local spirit made of distilled grapes was particularly welcome! Review 39：This is amazing cottage. Nicely decorated, cozy looking and with authentic style. But that is not the most important thing. I was shocked from the good side how the housekeeper Andreas welcomed us and was looking after us during all the stay. On the evening we arrived we had soup prepared by his wife in our room, full fridge of necessary products, next day and days after we found on table cake, wine, candies. Every day we got back from trips around the island there was nice surprise waiting for us in our room. This is really nice. I felt like I was staying in the good friends house. Would recommend this to anybody who wants to have amazing holiday with incredible warm welcome and unforgettable moments in perfect built cottage!

From the beautifully renovated place till the tremendously high hospitality. What a great value for the money! The accommodation itself is really adorable: the almost 125-year-old building is renovated beautifully and lovely decorated inside. Spacious, comfortable, clean and fully equipped apartments. They change the towels and even the bed sheets. The garden and swimming pool are beautiful and very well kept. But the hospitality definitely takes the cake (funny pun ;-): a warm welcome upon arrival, a full fridge (which is even more nicer when you arrive at 10pm and the shops are closed), the lovely cakes and sweets they made over and over again, the full attention and explanation of the islands best places when you ‘re planning a daytrip and so on and so on…. The village Kalvasos itself is idyllic too: a small village with a square where the locals are discussing politics and sports in front of the (very good!) restaurants and bars. Although the village is not too far from the beach or the cities, definitely hire a car. If you go to Cyprus, just go to this place!

The apartments are GORGEOUS - spacious, comfortable clean, modern. Amazing value for money. They change towels and made us apple cake and strawberry jam with other complimentary food in the fridge. The local cafe Restaurant is within 100 metres with traditional Cypriot cuisine. You would be hard pressed to find a better location and a more value for money accomadation in this area.

Review 84：It's hard to find what we dislike, probably just that the towels did not look clean. There was no microwave which is a bit uncomfortable, but there is electrical coffee pot. There is no hotel parking, but you will always be able to park a car nearby, there are suitable place in 50-100 m around. ( you should have a car to stay in this hotel, since there is about 15 km to the seashore)

Review 85：From the very beginning the hotelier Charalambos made us very warm accept with traditional cyprus coffee in one of the village tavernas as well as with bottle of fine red wine and oranges from own garden as a welcoming compliment in the room. His son Andreas tentatively ensured that we were comfortable. The hotel rooms are furnished with "bon gout". we had I guess the best room with separeted balcony. we had all required kitchen equipment.there are tourist guide books available in the room.The hotel is very suitable for calm and romantic rest.The hotel yard is well decorated, there is even a swimming pool.There is small souvenir shop nearby, and even an art gallery with different stone installation. Big orthodox church in the center of the village is worth seeing, very beautiful inside.

Review 87：The question should be what did I really love? Everything!! I wanted topropose to my gf on this my first trip to Cyprus and it was absolutelymagical. Andreas, the son's owner and his wife Simoni wereunbelievably sweet, friendly and engaging. From the fresh fruits in themorning to the Olive Oil, Wine, Baklava and Champagne that were left forus in the room (the last two I think because of our engagement), theyreally went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Genuinely, my onlyregret was that I did not spend a longer time. I have traveled all overthe world because of my work and have even been to Greece before, butnever had I stayed in such a place where I felt more at home in suchlittle time. For my proposal, Andreas on my request, suggested manyromantic locations across the country, which I did visit, but ultimatelyit was the cottage itself that I thought was the most romantic of themall and so that was the place I chose to ask my partner of 6 years to bemy wife!! The villagers are wonderful people, and the location is excellent - in the nature yet not isolated- it enabled daily trips to different parts of the island. I should mention that this is not the place for anyone looking for grandiose beachside hotels, or fabulous tourist attractions. Also, the location requires hiring a car. Going to Kalavasos was an excellent choice, and staying at Charalambos' Cottage - Superb. For us, Charalambos' cottage answered our every expectation.
