Reviews for Hotel am alten Park
Review 1:nothing - all good
Review 2:Everything! - Absolutely excellent location (a short walk from the train station & a similar short walk to the shops), excellent staff, the best breakfast yet, beautifully clean, and wonderfully comfortable.
Review 3:We arrived on Sunday so no staff were there...it took us a long time to find the passcode for wifi and ..wifi is terrible. e.g. : disconnected from wifi for 4 times while I checked in for my flight
Review 4:The location is very nice and the facilities are good in general
Review 5:Very great place!! Clean and quiet! Very great Wi-Fi and all of the staffs are good and polite! And excellent location also... Just few minutes from the train station!
Review 6:Wi-fi. Hard to find hotel.
Review 7:Hotel staff (Reception lady with glasses) was very kind and helpful. Thank you!! (Usually, it is not like this for Asian people..)
Review 8:no ice dispenser anywhere on site. don't mind paying! might even make money!
Review 9:very clean and a relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. all the staff are polite and friendly.
Review 10:Our room was spacious and light, very conveniently located about 3 minutes from the railroad station. The surrounding neighborhood was a bit seedy (as most are near the railway station) but the hotel itself was in a peaceful, walled park-like area. We had originally booked a room for three people but ended up with just two of us. The woman working at the desk went out of her way to rebook the room as a double which saved us about 40 Euros.
Review 11:None
Review 12:Well appointed family room in an hotel in a very quiet suburb, but within easy walking distance of central Augsburg (10 minutes). Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Go to the Zeughaus bier garden/restaurant back of the Fuggerei.
Review 13:The bed was excellent in firmness, however, the sheets were of low quality and were very uncomfortable on the skin. I had to wear long sleeves and sweatpants to sleep.
Review 14:Beautiful and quiet accommodations. The room was very spacious and loved the color (lilac purple). The bathroom was elegant and the large bath shower stall was one you would find in a spa.
Review 15:a little far away from the city center. There's nothing to visit or shop around! The gate of the hotel is a little hard to find and the parking is hard to find also!
Review 16:The breakfast is good!
Review 17:Wifi is spotty. do not expect to stream anything.
Review 18:stayed in the bertholt brecht apartment. Spacious for 3 people. Breakfast was excellent. minutes from public transport. In quiet area.
Review 19:Staff was very nice. Rooms were bright and cheery. Very spacious. Worked out great with our kids - separate sitting area with sofa that also turns into bed. Right across street from train station - so easy to travel to Munich, etc. Beautiful breakfast room that look out over garden area.
Review 20:a little hard to locate but not terrible
Review 21:very spacious in a quiet area. cute apartment with separate rooms to spread out. Friendly staff with a great breakfast.
Review 22:The hotel lobby was designed like a private Klink right down to the signs on the wall. Since I have had prior surgeries it really made me uncomfortable to be in this environment.
Review 23:Staff was very kind and always friendly. We had the apartment and it was huge. The breakfast was generous and even had bacon and eggs. We appreciated the high quality espresso machine.
Review 24:Almost nothing. Well, i don't like the scent of their soap. That's all.
Review 25:first, this hotel is easy to find. Just 2-3 minutes walk form Augsburg Hbf. We checked in very early in the morning and the nice lady at Front let us have our room immediately and she is very helpful with our travel plan. Room (apartment) is nice, clean and wide with comfy living room. Breakfasts are great and staffs are polite.
Review 26:nothing
Review 27:location was perfect within 5 min walk to the main train station. We stayed to visit Oktoberfest in Munich and it was only a short train ride to the fest. Beds were comfortable and the place is very quiet at night.
Review 28:Although in a central location the hotel was hard to find as it is on a complex with a clinic and a nunnery.
Review 29:A spotless clean hotel with a very modern feel to it. Great nights sleep and excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Review 30:The room has no dark curtains or blinds. So bring a sleeping shade, if you are sensitive to light.
Review 31:Our spacious room looked out on the park and was furnished simply but brightly. On the second floor is a roof terrace and a comfortable sitting area inside facing the terrace. This made it convenient to receive a visitor for an undisturbed talk. The whole place creates a feeling of well being. I can really recommend it.
Review 32:Secure parking is some distance away. (It would have been nice to have coffee / tea facilities in the room)
Review 33:The breakfast was very good with a large variety
Review 34:I saw nothing to complain about.
Review 35:The hotel is very close to the train station yet was in an extremely quiet area. I stayed in the Economy single room and had more room than in other hotels' normal sized room. My 4 requirements for a good room are it being clean, quiet, have a comfortable bed and a hot shower. This room met all these with flying colors. The breakfast was also excellent. Also a short walk from the center of town.
Review 36:We stayed in one of the apartments and it was very spacious. The hotel had a lovely peaceful feel about it. Great variety for breakfast and quality also great. About 10 min stroll from centre of Augsberg.
Review 37:No mini bar
Review 38:The hotel was very conveniently located close to the train station, old city and was right across the street from an old Augsburg brewery that had a an awesome inside and outdoor restaurant. They served great meals here at the brewery and you will not be disappointed. The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable with a great shower and I have no complaints whatsoever. They served your typical German breakfast and what can I say but simply delicious and very scrumptious and something you do not find in North American hotels unless you pay for it. Would most definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Review 39:bad smell in the bathroom
Review 40:location, breakfast, room size, very quite !
Review 41:A bit expensive.
Review 42:3 min from the railway station The hotel belongs to the Catholic Parish. Very clean, quiet, good breakfast.

Review 46:Friendly, helpful staff, excellent location, great breakfast.
Review 47:Central position, comfortable room in a well-maintained modern building
Review 48:Very helpful staff at check in. She was able to accommodate 8 persons and luggage several hours before check in time.
Review 49:Location, room size
Review 50:Wi fi poor, slow with dropouts.
Review 51:Location, close to station. Helpful staff. Good facilities.
Review 52:Great breakfast.
Review 53:Helpful, friendly staff. Provided excellent dining recommendations. Great location (in a beautiful park) in the central city.
Review 54:The hotel is not as beautiful as the photos portray.
Review 55:Everything was very comfortable and clean. A short walk to the city centre.
Review 56:The sheets on the bed were like sandpaper. Very poor internet connection.
Review 57:Location
Review 58:Clean, quite, and peaceful. Breakfast was great.
Review 59:The staff, the ambiance, and the location within easy walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof and Rathausplatz.
Review 60:can't think of anything
Review 61:Large, clean rooms, big breakfast, free wifi, very pleasant and helpful check-in staff
Review 62:none
Review 63:quietness and quality of service
Review 64:No sound proofing, someone in high heels clomping at 2 in the morning. Location is great for the town but very odd in the middle of a hospital!
Review 65:A bit far out of town
Review 66:Reception staff very helpful and friendly Quiet location
Review 67:Less than 5 minutes from hbf. Great breakfast. Well stocked honesty bar.
Review 68:It's not realy far from the city centre
Review 69:Very helpful staff and quick responses to any email queries.
Review 70:a little bit more insects
Review 71:really like garden
Review 72:wonderful place
Review 73:very beauriful garden and quiet.
Review 74:Hospital feel, due to being inside the hospital grounds
Review 75:Central location, however feels away from the crowds
Review 76:There was nothing we didn't like
Review 77:Everything was amazing
Review 78:Clean comfortable bed Comy sofa in room Nice sized room TV room in basement Honesty bar for beer and wine
Review 79:The pillows odd shape & too soft Very difficult to get to sleep
Review 80:The surroundings of hotel & the cleanliness of room
Review 81:Helpful saff clean room Good location for town & rail station Easy parking
Review 82:The hotel is very clean and offers rich breakfast menu.
Review 83:thoughtful and efficient design and architecture; spotless; very welcoming staff. A 5 minute walk from the train station.
Review 84:This hotel is actually a conference center located on the campus of a hospital complex run by the Evangelisch - Lutheran curch in Germany. Although located between the train station and the old city, it was a quiet and peaceful setting for our stay. The old city is about three blocks away and the train station is one block away. But the best thing is the Riegele Bier Welt across the street. This is a brewery complex complete with beer garden and the most interesting restaurant/ bar. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly.
Review 85:Spotlessly clean however found the room austere and stark. We havetravelled extensively throughout Europe using the ratings ofBooking.com. This is not an 8.5 compared to any other hotel we havestayed in. It obviously has other affiliations, to us felt like aprivate room in a hospital. I don't wish to be unkind but it is notanywhere near what we would expect on previous experience. Staffexcellent, good position, good breakfast
Review 86:Tea and coffee was only available in the basement area. Perhaps the hotel could, on request, provide tea and coffee facilities on the guests rooms.
Review 87:I liked the the hotel as it provided all my expectations of a first class hotel, highly recommended.
Review 88:We were unaware that the hotel was part of a hospital facility and this location was not expected and a little confronting.
Review 89:Everything was as to be expected of a hotel of this type and rating and it was fine in all aspects.
Review 90:Fabulous hotel stay. The service was excellent, it was quite, wonderfully clean and with attention to detail. We would recommend to anyone traveling to Augsburg!
Review 91:It is new, very calm, the breakfast is excellent organised, you get a place reserved for you. Excellent hotel in terms of installations and what they offer for such a city and such price
Review 92:Lack of restaurant/bar facilities on site during the evening. Difficulty finding entry due to shared grounds with hospital.
Review 93:Very helpful staff. Welcome water in the room. Breakfast pack because of leaving early.
Review 94:Very localised property, everything displayed in Deutsch or even a welcome letter placed on the bed (I assume it was a welcome message), hardly find English translate!
Review 95:Good location 5mins walk from train station, the room was clean & tidy, very spacious like apartment, green & purple soft colour tone as main theme, hearty breakfast arrangement with guest names' cardboard presented on table, felt like you had a table reserved.
Review 96:We arrived in the evening and staff was not immediately available to serve us. Had to stand outside in the cold before we can enter the hotel.
Review 97:Very clean and comfortable. Very close to the train station.
Review 98:The staff has different policies vis-a-vis guests concerning car parking. Some guests are told to park cars in the underground parking, while others are allowed to park cars in the inner yard of hotel.
Review 99:Not really in a park setting as described. Noisy city surroundings, but we should have reviewed this hotel more as we were looking for more quaint, authentic German style rooms. This is no fault of the hotel.
Review 100:Room was very modern and not quite what we were looking for. It was however, very clean and spacious.
Review 101:The style of the hotel is excellent for holiday makers and I will recommend this hotel to those who want to have spacious room to take rest after a long city visit! This hotel is in the vicinity of a supermarket and the train station which is very convenient!
Review 102:No air conditioning in the room.
Review 103:Nice hotel, well furnished, with clean and tidy rooms. Excellent breakfast. Decent wi-fi connection. Close to the local brewery where you can have dinner for very convenient prices.
Review 104:No air-condition. It was very warm during the night as I was there in the summer. In the brochure in the rooms it said that breakfast ends 9.30, but it ended 10. I think it should be 10.30 at least for people that are on holidays and want to sleep a bit longer...
Review 105:Very central hotel with nice staff, spacious and clean rooms. Although it's central it's quiet if you et a room towards the garden.
Review 106:Firm beds, shadowfree lighting in Bath, excellent breakfast with fresh fruit salad, ham, cheese etc., parking garage, location, quiet, helpful service.
Review 107:Internet CENSORED! Atmosphere of a former nursing home. Wildly overpriced for what is offered. Part of a Christian hospital complex. Not in an old park as the name suggests. Spartan.
Review 108:Near station. Clean.
Review 109:Everything was very clean, the room was spacious, bathroom great and breakfast buffet very good. Also the location is superb - just across from the train station but in a lovely park setting.
Review 110:Breakfast was a little disappointing and items not refreshed often enough.
Review 111:Hotel rooms good size and very functional and efficient. Offsite parking easy to locate and near hotel.
Review 112:No English channels on TV No kitchen or coffee/tea making equipment in room. Breakfast hours end too early. Restaurant hours too limited.
Review 113:We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in one of the apts - lots of space. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The property is beautifully kept - spotless and gracious.
Review 114:It looks more like a hospital than like a hotel. Good for 1-2 nights. Was not so easy to find the entrance to the hotel. It is on the oppositesite of the bridge.
Review 115:Nice, quiet and clean. Good breakfast. Very close to the train station.Must be good for disabled people.
Review 116:Prescribed breakfast seating.
