Newly opened in August 2009, the Übernacht Hostel provides low-cost accommodation for visitors to Augsburg.
The hostel features a common kitchen for guests who want to cater for themselves, but there are also many nearby cafes and restaurants.

Review 1：Unfortunatelly the kitchen closes pretty "early" so there is no option to make tea for example. And - you will not find any bottle opener in the kitchen either :))

Review 2：The accomodation in the heart of this beautiful city, friendly staff, great value for money.

Review 3：The room looked okay, but it smelled really bad and was quite dirty when we started looking around. We left after one night, because the smell was unbearable. We did not receive a refund. The staff was apologetic, but the room was completely disgusting. The shower and toilets were not any better. Don't waste your money.

Review 4：The location was great, and the communal kitchen was fairly clean and convenient.

Review 5：Just little update on door handles are little too sharp. When closing doors you get scratched. Shower handle was broken in one of the bathrooms. Could be easily repaird, but thise nice cleaning ladies cannot check all functionalities everyday.

Review 7：We were to depart early in the morning and wanted to boil water for tea. To our regret kitchen was closed and we had to wait until reception is open, which was not convenient and was not really our plan.

Review 8：Located right in the city centre, we had view over one of the central cathedrals (actually only its roof). New and clean room with parquet, nice design. Bath and toilet were on the corridor, big and clean. Kitchen is nice and with all needed equipment.

Review 10：Very clean hostel, with nice beds, rather large cupboards to store the belongings. Also located centrally and very close from the railway station.

Review 17：Leaving at 5 AM, we had to step over a sleeping person in front of our room in the hallway. There is no security, anyone from the street can come in through the night. It does not seem to be very safe place.

Review 23：The bed was super tough. Make sure you have everything, e.g. drinks, towels etc. because they will overcharge for things. The staff were also abit ignorant. For example if you come to check in 5 min before check in time they might send you away.

Review 27：I stayed in room 203 with shared bathroom. My room smells really bad, it has that damp/weird body odour smells that lingers all night. I opened the window and it still didn't help, not to mention the room is facing the road so it's really noisy when i opened the window. My friend stayed in the room with private bathroom and it seems great. Definitely doesn't have the smells. Anyway i wouldn't stay there again, the smell traumatized me.

Review 29：This was my second time staying at Ubernacht Hostel and again it was a wonderful experience!! The location was great - we had a bakery right across the street that we went to every morning for breakfast and it was just steps away from the old city and many sites. The facility is very nice and modern and incredibly clean. I have stayed at many hostels and this is bar far the best. I would recommend it to anyone!

Review 30：The bed was shaking, cause not properly attached to the wall. And that you have to pay extra for the towels for shower, but that is because the price liw cost, so ok

Review 35：The manager with brown hair - a stroppy, bad-tempered madame who wearshigh heels and struts about like a prima dona. Her staff hate her and sodo the guests. She is the rudest, unhappiest person I have met inBavaria. She is a bully to her staff and guests and makes the stay ofher guests miserable. I asked to speak to her manager. Upon which shetold me she owned the place (and her dad) and threw me out because Iwanted to check-in (at the right time). She kicked out all the guestsfrom the reception because there was a 'photo shoot'. Utterlyterrible - avoid! Go to Slamba instead.

Review 44：The beds weren't very comfortable. There was a guy who was actually living in the 8 bed dorm room permenantly. The showers were all in one room, but had clear glass doors so anyone could see you or see you in the mirror if the door opened. My top bunk bed was directly under a light, so there were lots of dead bugs on my bed. I would splurge for a hotel the next time I go to Augsburg versus staying here again. I have stayed at much cheaper hostels with much better quality, even in Western Europe.

Review 46：There was a strange smell in the hallway and the room. Like someone had been sick all over the place right before we got there. The douchecabines had see-through doors. Not really a fan. Though there was one toilet room at the hall with a douchecabine inside, so you could have some more privacy. Compared to other hostels I would say you get a nice big room, but I think it's unfortunate there's no sink in the room and it's not really a hostel where you can meet a lot of people.

Also...more importantly, the picture in the listing for thisproperty (of the roof top terrace) is false advertising- it is onlyavailable to people who book the penthouse apartment. For everyone elsethere is no outside space at all ...only a smallish kitchen and tv room.The kitchen is in lock down after 9pm. I would not want to stay in thishostel when there are many guests as there are limited bathroomsfacilities (bathrooms designed in a really stupid way) ...I think theremay have been only one toilet on our whole floor? But worse thananything, it turns out Augsburg kinda sucks. Skip this city and thishostel if you can.

Review 53：We were there with a friend of mine and we stayed in a triple room for one week.(1 double+1 single bed) First of all the location is perfect. Even though it is next to a busy street, the windows are isolating the noise. Shared bathroom and WC, it was right next to the room so easy access. Smoking lounge is nice to let guests meet new people.

Review 55：Almost everything. There weren't so many travellers, but it felt like I was at a small flat.(I actually prefer staying at this kind of hostel to being at a hostel with lots of travellers) 一番良いホステルの部類旅行者は他に比べ少なかったですがシェアハウスみたいな雰囲気で良かったです(混雑したところよりこじんまりしているのが好きな方は気に入るかと)

But the day after the boss of the hotel came and she was mad at me cause of what I've done but that's normal I paid and I couldn't spend the night in the street

The location is ok, have to catch a tram or bus from the main train station, but it's the bus/tram stop is very close to the hostel. But it's really close to town hall and other tourist attractions. Shared kitchen which is well equipped. Shared bathroom is clean.

Review 86：The ubernacht 60€/private 3 bed in Augsberg seemed better than the average 28€/dorm bed in Munich. The advertised booking.com 'special' was anything but. we were charged 15€ for late check-in (reception is only open til 21:00) No towels available. We were expecting both the hostel and the town to have some charm. Spartan accommodation and boring city centre. Overall quite disappointing.

Review 88：The nearest parking garage is on Ludwigstraße about 400 m away - a bit far if you're dragging two kids and luggage! The wifi works great in the common rooms, is a bit more spotty once you're accessing from your own room.
