Reviews for Windsor Arms Hotel

Review 1:This is the second time we have stayed at the Windsor Arms. This year the kitchen staff do not seem to be on top of things. I think there may be a language problem, but room service (items ordered) was poor. The Butler service though is excellent.

Review 2:The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for shopping and restaurants if that is your interest. For the middle of Toronto this Hotel is surprisingly quiet from traffic noise.

Review 3:It is a great old hotel but is looking a little shabby and needs some TLC.

Review 4:It is a beautiful hotel. We had a magnificent room and it was ideally placed fro shopping if that is your interest.

Review 5:Loby was bad just a front desk and tea room and bar there is no where to sit especially if you are waiting for a cab The carpets in the room are worn out need to be replaced

Review 6:Room is clean Bed is comfortable Room service is quiet fast

Review 7:The most comfortable and luxurious hotel I've been to. The spa and pool are wonderful. The staff are very helpful. The room was so wonderful - great tub - just wished we stayed longer.

Review 8:Service slow especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast is expensive. Great potential to be a hip place but it not happening.

Review 9:Great location, friendly staff

Review 10:Dining experience could have been better especially the breakfast which you would expect to be top notch for the price.

Review 11:Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Location is prime within walking distance of many attractions.

Review 12:The staff were all very professional, however there were three that were really outstanding; Kevin at the front desk, welcomed me back every time I went out and remembered my name. His presentation was friendly, professional and he made me feel extremely comfortable. Tim who took my bags up was the same, friendly, professional, competent and available and lastly the breakfeast chef the second morning I stayed was outstanding in his presentation and service.

Review 13:The famed Courtyard Cafe with its glittering decor, bustling waiters, and chatty clientele is no more. The room has been stripped bare, furnished now with conference-stock round tables for its Sunday brunch, the only day the Cafe is open. No grandeur, no style. It was a dream of mine to stay at the WA, and it was crushing to see how the place had changed. Our stay was pleasant, but nothing can compel me to return.

Review 14:The Windsor Arms had a great reputation back in the day. In the 70s, 80s, and 90s it was the place to see and to be seen. It was stylish and smart, a true boutique hotel. It is still a boutique hotel, still has a conscientious staff, and our junior suite was lovely. But the vibe of this once charming hotel has been eviserated.

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:A friendly, stylish and extremely comfortable hotel. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Afternoon tea is as good as it gets. The rooms are elegant and very well appointed.

Review 17:too old school for me , rain kept me up all night, it seemed like it was raining in my room. breakfast was not up to par at all.... some what gross actually.. too many new hotels in the area to waste time at this one..

Review 18:Some things were a little pricey. I would have liked to try the afternoon tea but too expensive.

Review 19:Everything was great...attention to detail was very much appreciated. Room was comfortable, staff was very helpful, breakfast was good and the location is amazing.

Review 20:Some small niggles that need to be addressed. There was no option in our suite to drink anything other than coffee. My partner asked for some tea bags at reception but she was told that would probably incur an extra charge. We weren't that impressed with the dining room/kitchen. We opted for the complimentary breakfast every morning: on the first morning they ran out of croissants by 9.30 and despite our waitresses' attempts to get us some, none were forthcoming. We had the feeling overall that the kitchen and dining area needed to be better managed, we didn't really feel comfortable there, it didn't live up to the blurb in the information book in our suite so we chose to eat out in the evenings.

Review 21:The location is very good, just off Bloor. The hotel is impressive as you walk in, staff are courteous and helpful. We had been upgraded at no extra expense and the suite was very good in every respect. The spa on the fourth floor was a very welcome extra especially after a long walk in the city.

Review 22:we had to pay extra for a slice of bacon at breakfast... unbelievable in such a nice hotel

Review 38:Nothing spetioal

Review 39:One small niggle was the inclusive breakfast. It was advertised as a $30 "value included" and even though the food was fresh and nicely presented - $30 was not realstic for what was offered. Juice and a a fruit plate (common breakfast items) when ordered we over and above the standard breakfast menu and were chargeable. But this was a very small item considering the rest of the hotel amenities.

Review 40:The staff was attentive, polite, funny, engaging and very accommodating ... especially since I was with a new husband and a great dane!!

Review 41:There menu needed more expansion in what was being offered

Review 42:The staff was very welcoming and whatever you needed they were there to help. The suites very comfortable and And luxurious

Review 43:Hotel was staff were excellent. Went out if their way to ensure that allour needs were met. They took the time to remember our name and nomatter where in the hotel we were greeted by it. Very professional touch

Review 44:The drafts from the windows, thank goodness the curtains were thick. The carpet in our suite looked tired, the dining tables state afterthe table cloths were removed and replaced for the next set up werevery poor.

Review 45:The comfort of the suites, the friendlies and politeness of the staff. The extra touches with cookies left in our room. The restuarant qualityand selection that invited one to stay and eat there rather than go outand it was well worth it.

Review 46:Very bad experience in the restaurant for dinner, food was of poorquality, not cooked or not well cooked, bad experience with room servicefor b'fast & dinner, did not get what we asked for, the toastswere toasted on 1 side only, no butter, the bill was wrong etc..disappointing for a hotel of that class...
