Reviews for Landhotel Hauer

Review 1:Could not get wi fi at all. The room decor was very late 80s and characterless. We paid originally for half board 150 euro a night thinking we would get a deal as the restaurant looked expensive but after waiting 35 min for drinks and by the time we had eaten just a main course we had been in the restaurant 1h45 min so we didn't order any dessert! We went to another restaurant for dessert and coffee. I have been a 4th generation caterer and chef for 20 years but I have never eaten pork medallions that have a sauce that truly tastes like stagnant pond water and the topping on my other halfs meat tasted like sweet herbal tea! We were pesterd by fruit flys at the table inside and spent 20 min swatting them until we asked to move outside to escape them as they just kept on coming. The room cost 100 euro and the meal cost 40.40 euros but they charged us 150.40 because we booked half board! The place was all about wine and wine making and nothing else! Very poor indeed!!!

Review 2:Quiet location and amazing views on the drive in! The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were friendly!

Review 3:Tālu no maģistrāles un lieliem centriem

Review 4:A beautiful place, very quiet, for wine expert - paradise.

Review 5:Please be aware kitchen is closed on Monday and Thursday

Review 6:A very nice place when visiting the wine-route

Review 7:In general, we found that the Wi-Fi connection is poor. The place and the restaurant are not cheap, although we do not regret one single Euro spent

Review 8:We have found the location directly at the Weinstraße, in a small and quiet village very charming. We also found the restaurant very good. The dishes are not specially refined, but they are extremely tasty and the combination with Wilker wine recommendations made it even more pleasant. For children there is a very nice open air playground 500 m away. We were received with a small bottle of Weiser Burgunder from the house, but this is not all. There is a Wine fridge on the corridor, and you may take a bottle only noting it in the booklet by the side (not cost-free). This kind of trust is in itself a signal of the atmosphere that you breath in the Landhaus and surroundings.

Review 9:Bed was a little uncomfortable and would have been nice to have a kettle/coffee/tea in the room.

Review 10:Great quiet location in a tiny village. View of vineyards/field was wonderful. Hotel dinner was a little pricey but good food and good free breakfast. Free wine and water in the room was nice. Option also to purchase their own label wine was great.

Review 11:Soft matrass: I personally prefer it harder. Breakfast is not served at the restaurant and there was no indication where the breakfast room was. Most of the guests got a bit lost. TV with channels only in German

Review 12:Nice wide, warm and quite room. Clean bathroom with a strong flow in the shower Rich breakfast The staff, not fluent in English, made all the effort necessary to be understood. I recommend the restaurant: good food at cheap price. Free WiFi Outdoor parking available for free

Review 13:Lift was out of order and we had to carry our suitcases up two floors. No evening meal available.

Review 14:The hotel ambience and nice vineyard village. Good breakfast.

Review 15:If there is a party (Veranstaltung) going on, better look for anotherday to visit.

Review 16:Friendly reception and excellent service. Large, clean rooms withbalcony overlooking wineyards. Very good restaurant and breakfast. Verygood value. Possibility to taste wines of the house and enjoy thethermal facilities in the neighbourhood.

Review 17:This is a small friendly hotel. Good food in their restaurant. Relaxed and informal environment. Friendly staff. I will use this hotel again.
