Reviews for Residence & Conference Centre - Toronto

Review 1:1.Breakfast has a poor service although I had paid for it.Many times supplies like honey, milk, fruits were finished early and were not replenished.I saw honey only for a day or two although I stayed there for 14 nights.(I avoid eating jams and cheese for health concerns that's why kept looking for honey). They didn't refill the supplies on last day saying since it is their last day(22nd Aug15),so they didn't order enough supplies the previous day.Only got to eat bread only on last day. 2.At least 3 days during my stay, housekeeping, cleaning of my room was not done. 3.No closets. 4.Only one washing machine that had provision for using coins. 5.No help /trolley to ferry luggage to my room when I arrived, although I asked for it. 6.When I stayed in room 925,I struggled for a can opener and asked many times at front desk but it was not provided.I couldn't have my meal one day because of this as I had a can of food that required to be opened.Next day ,I had to purchase one of my own. 7.Convenience store was closed after 23rd august15 causing inconvenience.I had to go out to get essential items/groceries.Even when it was open,it didn't have adequate supplies like ,one time use detergent, for travellers. 8.Shower doesn't have a water flow control.Only temperature can be controlled.

Review 2:spacious room, good number of elevators, less waiting time for elevators.Subway eatery joint.

Review 3:long halls to get to room and near impossible to get a cart to bring all your belongings in and out. (We never got one when we needed it) One unfriendly staff person when we arrived a little early, could barely talk to us and told us to come back anytime after 3pm when check in was. When we checked in at 3:20pm, had to wait til 4:30pm for our room to be ready. Very unimpressed and will not be staying there again.

Review 4:I wish they had a swimming pool for kids its a bit remote from downtown, we had to spend about half hour to drive there, but also it was due to traffic too the double bed was abit small and we had to ask for extra bed, but staff was very prompt and provided us with extra bed

Review 5:helpful staff, very clean and new property, decent breakfast with fresh food, 2 bedroom with big size fried and microwave

Review 6:There was no toilet paper in the room, and the pillows were a little soft.

Review 7:Very clean facilities, close to the highway, downtown, and any major Toronto attractions. Extremely good value for your money.

Review 8:The only thing i did not like was the fact that subway was not open early enough on sunday that made it difficult for us.or the little convenience store.

Review 9:I have stayed in a few student residences and this one was much nicer than most, was very clean,,clean towels, decent bedding.

Review 10:I didn't like the parking. I found it was confusing and there was hardly anywhere to park.

Review 11:The room was beautiful and it was nice that they had cable. I also liked the staff and how we had our own kitchen.

Review 12:Could not find the place. No signs to show you how to get to the building. Does not say on the computer that this is a college dorm. Not what we were expecting. We spent the day at Wonderland and this place was to be only 10 minutes away. It was almost an hour threw a lot of traffic which we did not want to do. Also did not say continental breakfast, it said breakfast, which usually means hot breakfast and it was very disorganized and confusing. When looking for a hotel I punched in hotels close to Wonderland. I don't know why this one even came up but feel that you should state that it is a college dorm room you are getting. Three people in room and only 1 towel for showering.

Review 13:The bed was comfortable

Review 14:Reception smelling. Room and bathroom not cleaned throughout my our stay.Breakfast poor. Developed skin rashes. Night staff unpleasant.

Review 15:The Location and wifi of the apartments

Review 16:The beds were double and not comfortable for a couple, the parking costs $5 per night.

Review 17:The suite was big and clean and well equipped for two people. It had WiFi in the rooms and the continental breakfast was not bad.

Review 18:The towels were dirty and stained. The breakfast was not good and too simple.

Review 19:Free internet is always good, but lets be honest it's not "free".

Review 20:Very disappointed. We booked this place through booking.com a month ahead we needed. But when we checked in, we had been told that we were not on the list. They couldn't find our information. Thus everything was too late, the place was full. We had no place to stay due to the long weekend and other events in Toronto. Very upset.

Review 21:Reception more professioanl attitude is expected such as i requested in my reservation two things:Early Check in and extra mattress:both were not addressed properly Even at check in time at 11 am I was handled impolitely and was then promised to expect a call once suite is ready...no call !!!!

Review 22:Excellent wifi Convenience store Cleanliness Evening reception attitude much supportive and professional

Review 23:Basic accommodation. It's a dorm room. Expected this and got what we expected.

Review 24:Excellent price, about half cost of regular hotel. Great having two rooms. Staff helpful dealing with a couple of minor issues. Convenient to our destination. Parking cost very reasonable.

Review 25:Early check out and the free breakfast even though it's free but that's the same food as prison food lol but very good service just need improvement on the breakfast food I do plan to come again with friends and family :)

Review 26:Blankets were a bit thin. Breakfast was poor; barebones continental. Just begels and cereal pretty much. Not even any muffins which is what I really wanted. Unorganized too.

Review 27:Staff is friendly. Room is clean and has everything you expect a standard hotel room to have.

Review 28:We did not get any clean sheets during our stay, and had to request clean towels also

Review 29:Staff was fabulous and room was terrific. Loved the location and the amenities in the building.

Review 30:Went there for an overnight stay with my husband and 11 months old daugter, we checked in around 4pm the receptionist was approachable and nice. He gave us a room in 4th flooR and when we enter the room it wasnt cleaned yet so i had to go down to tell the recep.. He immediately change our room so i went back up again to pick up daugther and husband. We went to 7th floor room 707 and to my surprise the room isnt clean again. Beds are done, but the shower room still has pshampoo bottles and soap from old clients.

Review 31:EVERYTHING! THE ROOM WERE EXTREMELY DIRTY,NOT READY EVEN AT 4PM.CHECK IN IS STARTING AT3PM. TERRIBLE SERVICE.TERRIBLE BREAKFAST.NOISY AND DISGUSTING ROOMS,DIRTY HALLWAYS.

Review 32:NOTHING.DIRTY,NOISY CHEAP PLACE WITH RUDE RECEPTIONIST.

Review 33:The staff at the front desk and housekeeping staff were very poorly trained. (i) when my room was cleaned, some bills and even my extra room cards were thrown away by the housekeeping staff. (ii) The front desk staff were rarely able to respond to my queries and often referred me to managers who were often not on-site. Only specific managers could handle certain specific requests. Frustrating!

Review 34:Good price for what you get, spacious facilities and quite clean. Location gives easy access to TTC and a shopping mall close by.

Review 35:Price - value for money Cleanliness Spacious rooms and in-suite kitchen facility Quiet Friendly Staff Inexpensive parking Free continental breakfast

Review 36:1. Noise 2. Poorly responsive staff. 3. Dangerous exposed electrical fittings, . 4. No shades on lights. 5. Poor room arrangements. Bed placed directly under window with light coming through. 6. No room darkening blinds. 7. No staff ever smiles.

Review 37:1. Cost.

Review 38:I didn't like the breakfast options at all. Bagel and/or cereal the only thing available...maybe there would have been more choice if I arrived to breakfast earlier? I like eggs and some sort of protein. Could have muffins or pre-made egg on english muffin or something like that.

Review 39:I loved that it cost less than most hotel rooms bookings and gives a lot more space. I also liked the nostalgia of being there cause it's the same building I stayed in for college dorm living. Staff at the desk were very friendly and welcoming.

Review 40:The AC system was not working or not providing the appropriate temperature. We had to open the windows to create a little wind

Review 41:Friendly, clean and very convenient. If they fix the ac issue. I would recommend this location to everybody

Review 42:Parking was $5 a day. Considering it had a big parking lot and the location was away from the city it should be free. The breakfast was fair for what you got but the dining area itself was rather dirty and tables were not kept up.

Review 43:The rooms were set up nicely as far as space. The floor was quiet and clean. Free breakfast was fair. The location was good and freeway was easily accessible.

Review 44:I didn't care for the small TV's (which wasn't a deal breaker as I just needed to crash for a few hours after the reservations at my hotel somehow got booked for a different day) ...I didn't care for the slightly nicked/chipped walls (but to be expected from a residence I guess) ...beds weren't the comfiest But not much to complain for what I paid for the night

Review 45:I liked the convenient location, ....the friendly staff (they were great and very friendly) ....the price

Review 46:Breakfast is a scam and a mess, there is no criterion of continental breakfast or something, only bread butter and coffee I ask what this is?

Review 47:The location.

Review 48:It hasn't kids channel on their tv. The breakfast could be improvedby providing a menu with rice or fries.

Review 49:It has appliances (I.E. microwave and big fridge) that we need to keepand cook our food as we travel with two young kids. The bathroom is bigenough and clean as well.

Review 50:The pillow wasnt my style but I didnt request for a different type either so my fault on that part.

Review 51:Comfortable, has two rooms, microwave, fridge, tv, wifi, shower, perfect for dorming. Would be more better with a tub haha.

Review 52:Breakfast was not a good experience. The kitchen kept running out of supplies in EVERY station. Tables and floor were a mess.

Review 53:space and number of beds provided in one unit.

Review 54:The staff was a bit unorganized with billing at check in but were super friendly and made up for the confusion by waving fees.

Review 55:Price, cleanliness, friendly staff, kitchenette in room. Good size.

Review 56:It was hard to find the entrance, So, to make it easier for the nextguests would be nice put the word seneca in title of the hotel or in thecoordinates to get there.

Review 57:The suite is big; Breakfast is good; Calm place.

Review 58:Only the parking is not free. But so far, so good. God bless all the staff, see you there in the future. We love the place.

Review 59:The rooms are spacious and affordable. Quite and awesome. God bless

Review 60:rooms are getting dated had to wait precisely to 3pm to get key - Would have been nice to get key earlier as we were rushing to an event

Review 61:access to major highways separate rooms

Review 62:No discounted rate for multi night stays - I booked for 26 days but same rate as single night stay Houskeeping was non existent - they didn't change bed sheets for 3 weeks until we complained, nor did they clean the floors or sinks. All they did was leave fresh towels. On check out day, I asked if we could check out late - 6 pm as my son was still working at Seneca College that day. I was first told it would be possible then when time came, I was advised that we would need to pay for a full extra day - this after having paid for 25 days straight at the daily rate with poor service. Staff were very sullen not very friendly and room amenities were non existent - no cutlery nothing to cook with. We were told that there would be a hot plate and rice cooker but never got one. They have a long way to go before they can market themselves as a hotel alternative. Will never stay there again and would strongly discourage anyone else from doing so.

Review 63:Location Room size

Review 64:UNSIGHTLY large stains on corridor carpets detract badly from excellent hotel - terrazzo or vinyl flooring would be easier to maintain and more hygienic. Increase in size of short term PARKING space is advisable to assure all can unload baggage from their vehicles at entry before driving to more distant parking.

Review 65:COST is excellent value for a two bedroom suite in Toronto! SAFETY & SECURITY appeared excellent although walk to/from parking lot may leave some people vulnerable. LOCATION was convenient to access main highways. CLEANLINESS excellent overall although carpet stains in corridors are unsightly and decoration is spartan. STAFF were professional and helpful. On-site SUBWAY restaurant was convenient and healthy. PARKING worked out well.

Review 66:There really wasn't anything I didn't like... But I think it would be a good idea to put paper plates and plastic utensils in the rooms...

Review 67:As a family we had a great time, my kids really enjoyed staying there!!!

Review 68:- Not allowed to take breakfast back to your room so if you don't have time to sit in the cafe and eat you will miss out - Kitchen has no stove or utensils so for a longer term stays this may be an issue but it was fine for just a few days

Review 69:- Staff was very helpful. We had not been to Toronto before and they printed maps for us to get around using both transit and car - Parking is cheap $5 CAD/ day and your car is in a safe area - 5 minute walk to bus stop and easy transfer to downtown - Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. We got the 2 bedroom suite and a roll away cot for $10/night for an extra guest - Kitchen area is small but includes a mocrowave and full size refrigerator - Free breakfast is cold but hot stuff is available at a cost from Subway on the ground floor - Bathroom and shower very clean and stocked with towels and soap

Review 70:Dirty lobby, management failed to make sure that room was ready for check in, as a result checked into a room where someone was already staying or was not ready after old guest checked out. When this happens after 12 hours of travel from Chicago with family it sucks.

Review 71:Location

Review 72:bed mattresses very hard, lumpy room was dirty could of used a paint job selection of breakfast very limited

Review 73:great price for a place to sleep close to major attractions easy to find helpful staff

Review 74:The television turned on automatically at 6am every morning and woke me up.... I couldn't find a timer or anything that was set on it. More healthy food choices available.

Review 75:I like the location, i stayed in the units renovated and these are very nice , i saw the olders and they are not, they should give hot breakfast Too like other hotels more variety and the parking should be for free for guests like other hotels !!!

Review 76:- The unprofessional cleaning staff knocking on your door to remind you of your checking out time an hour before check out time. Professionally the front desk staff gives you a ring. - Secondly when bookings are done on-line and you wish to extend within 4hrs or so from expiration due to your biz schedule, you get no help from the staff or supervisor to retain your room. I guess customer satisfaction and loyalty is the first rule of good biz. - information for booking need to be sent more quickly through an electronic means or call not have your tired customers waiting.

Review 77:- Renovation of the 7th floor and cleanness. - Breakfast was good. - staff were organized and cordial.

Review 78:Wish it was closer to downtown but all in all not a horrible location.

Review 79:Having a fridge in the room was great to save a bit of money on our trip and store our daughters milk. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Review 80:We were there at 7:10am, but found no coffee, no milk (sign said "sorry"), no fruit and no yogurt. We had to go for breakfast at a Tim Hortons instead.

Review 81:Parking validation.

Review 82:1. Limited toiletries. Only one toilet roll between two people for two days. When we requested an extra roll, house keeping declined. 2. Rooms are not cleaned, tidied daily. 3. Small tv size.

Review 83:1. Spacious accommodation with 2 bedrooms, and kitcnette. 2. Clean and new bed etc.

Review 84:Breakfast is simple breads, bagels, cereals, juice...Ran out of fruit quickly. (Still nice, but not if have specific dietary needs-Gluten Free)

Review 85:Two rooms and a kitchenette with a table! Though not located in downtown, it was not difficult to drive into town. Great to have two rooms for the price of one!

Review 86:Would have liked a small light by the bed for reading and some cutlery in the kitchenette.

Review 87:Very clean, very good staff, good internet, tv and air conditioning, kitchenette microwave and fridge were very clean and useful, great breakfast each morning and well-priced parking very close to building!

Review 88:Had to change rooms because of a plugged toilet. No maintenance person on duty. First room was newly renovated, second room was not. Stains on the walls, floors, bedding, tv remotes did not work.

Review 89:The location was convenient for our needs

Review 90:Needs new carpets in hall and the rooms were a bit shabby. No hairdryer Breakfast situation appalling. people who went late daily didn't get fruit or juice - some days even cereal or bread was not available. The staff hid the as some people took too much food!! Some front desk staff not very friendly and could not speak English well. Staff didn't explain clearly about how the laundry worked. Need a booklet to give to guests to explain what was available on site/ phone numbers/health centres/churches /stores near by /maps etc. Far out from downtown.

Review 91:Spacious apartment. Reasonable value with basic breakfast included and free internet. Comfortable beds.

Review 92:Long line sometimes to validate the parking tickets.

Review 93:The new renovations are wonderful. Very clean and much nicer than prior years staying here. Breakfast was great. Good value for the price.

Review 94:The breakfast area. A bit cluttered for such a large room. The tables were much too close together. Sometimes uncomfortably close.

Review 95:Room was very good. Table and desk very spacious and perfect for my purposes. The location perfect as well as I had a car and the highways are easily accessed. Staff very helpful.

Review 96:Carpet stains everywhere in the hallways Mattresses piled up in common rooms & in the hallway Laundry room "out of order" Zero kitchen supplies provided Fridge motor made a loud clunking noise, like a gunshot Bedding smelled like stale smoke & musty. I had bites on my legs after sleeping under the covers Bedroom walls are concrete that is pock-marked & full of holes (looked like a jail cell) TV's were old & remote didn't work Window screens had huge holes so unable to get any fresh air Had to swipe door's key card 20-30 trys before door would open Dark & depressing Hotel guest parking is in a common student lot; about a 5min walk from the building

Review 97:2 separate bedrooms for $70/night is a steal Good location close to major highways

Review 98:The bed was too small for 2 people, the hallways carpets were dirty and stained, not a good view for None students residents,

Review 99:Having the kitchen and home style feeling, and the breakfast.

Review 100:The breakfast was minimal and it ran out on certain days. But that's kind of okay since there is a shopping centre one block away with various eateries and a supermarket

Review 101:Quite clean, very spacious with tv, a/c fridge and independent toilet, a cut above usual student accommodation

Review 102:Breakfast...only bread and butter!! Should have more variety!!

Review 103:Clean...nd very peaceful even after being at the heart of the city.

Review 104:Parking could be annoying but it didn't impact the trip

Review 105:The 2 separate bedrooms worked great for us. Really enjoyed the games room.

Review 106:The breakfast was horrible.

Review 107:I liked everything except for the breakfast.

Review 108:wifi, near supermarket and highway

Review 109:Good public transport to downtown Toronto. Clean room.

Review 110:Nothing

Review 111:Best quality for small price

Review 112:Everything

Review 113:Very quiet, wifi, AC, breakfast all great.

Review 114:Didn't make the beds but they replaced our towels. Seems run by students.

Review 115:The rooms are very spacious. Games room on the 8th floor.

Review 116:Old room, but to be expected since it's a dorm

Review 117:Play room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen area, restaurants on campus

Review 118:No swimming pool

Review 119:Breakfasts

Review 120:Staff very friendly and helpful Front open late

Review 121:No hair dryer, breakfast was... fine

Review 122:Good value for money, clean, felt like I was back in university

Review 123:Having a two-bedroom suite made things a little more convenient with my kids.

Review 124:Hard to find the entrance and parking.

Review 125:Quiet and the free wifi and TV's in the rooms.

Review 126:Small beds. It is more like a student hostel.

Review 127:Nice and helpful staff. Big rooms that are good for the price

Review 128:Breakfast was not so good

Review 129:Reasonable price and fair location

Review 130:the location,price and comfort

Review 131:No room cleaning or replenish of cleaning product or toiletry unless request.

Review 132:Friendly staff, nice 2 bedroom suite, basic but efficient breakfast
