Reviews for Hotel Augsburger Hof

Review 1:Nothing - all positive.

Review 2:Location - easy walk to the old town, easy to locate hotel. Secure parking. Staff was kind and helpful. Room was quaint - Bavarian charm. Many extra little touches throughout room to make your stay more comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I liked this hotel, I recommend it and would stay there again.

Review 3:Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent choices for continental breakfast. Although the room was at the front of the hotel there was little disturbance from noise.

Review 4:Parking very restricted and charged for, No one to showed us to our room or informed us of the lift? Location was good, but could get noisy. No kettle or fridge in room.

Review 5:Friendly staff, Good breakfast, Location

Review 6:Parking was a little difficult and we had to pay extra.

Review 7:The staff was so friends and helpful. They even tried to help us find another place to stay when we decided we wanted to stay in the area for an extra day and the hotel was full.

Review 8:We had to drive into the old city to get there and may end up with a ticket for driving without a permit in that area. It is very close to the edge of the walled area so had we known we could have parked outside.

Review 9:Conveniently located to the old town area.

Review 10:Location can be a bit noisy in the evening as there are some bars and rstaurants around. Parking facilities are also limited and if you are arriving late, the liklyhood of having a space is very limited.

Review 11:Nice traditional hotel with a friendly staff. The breakfast is good and the fresh bread is fanstatic. Though did run out of fresh precels :(

Review 12:Not enough on site parking. Hard to arrive at location as the roads are all being worked on.

Review 13:Nice big room in town within walking distance of some notable locations in Augsburg. Good breakfast.

Review 14:The room was very hot. We had to open the windows when we were sleeping. Therefore, lots of noises came from the outside and we could not fall asleep.

Review 15:The staff were very friendly and willing to give us lots of information. They usually wore smiling faces.

Review 16:No air conditioning in our room only a ceiling ventillator. Wifi signal was very weak in our room, we could not access internet.

Review 17:Very good location, with kind personnel. Good breakfast.

Review 18:Cancellation fee up and until date of booking but payment was reserved prior that and caused confusion

Review 19:Sauna and staff that can understand us; well spoken in English!

Review 20:I was originally allocated a very large, but dark room opening onto a lightwell. I swapped this for a smaller, brighter room, but the lack of air conditioning was still a problem given the humidity and outside tempertaure of 340C

Review 21:The Augsburger Hof is a traditional hotel near the Mozarthaus, slightly north of the Altstadt

Review 22:ventilator but no air conditioning wifi too weak to send emails

Review 23:friendly service spacious room, nice bathroom quiet at night great breakfast convenient for the city centre

Review 24:The room facing east made for very hot room. There needed another fan. Perhaps other rooms were cooler without the direct sun. Very noisy with windows open.

Review 25:The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 26:Very noisy room no aircon, room faced a tramline and had to have windows open because of the heat, trams every 15 minutes with the only break from 11.30 till 5 when they started up again. Wifi was non-existent in room.

Review 27:nice hotel, clean and good sized rooms. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful. Good parking at 7 Euros a night. Bathroom excellent with large towels.

Review 28:It was a bit noisy.

Review 29:The staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave our vehicle on the premises after we had checked out, so that we could go sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious. Although not air conditioned, they did have a ceiling fan which was a huge relief.

Review 30:The rooms were TINY and hot (no a/c). the hotel is not in a convenient location. Advertised as having parking, but it was full upon arrival.

Review 31:Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice

Review 32:Nothing!

Review 33:I chose a room facing the courtyard instead of the road. It was very quiet without noise from trams or vehicles. Staff at the reception were polite and helpful. Garage is small, but you can leave the key at the reception and the staff will move the car for you if needed. Breakfast is great !

Review 34:room is a bit noisy if you're facing the main street side.

Review 35:Good size room, nice facility and breakfast. Friendly staff. Excellent location for about 10 mins walk to the city center

Review 36:We were sad that this hotel quit serving meals four months before our stay. The bar is still open, though, and breakfasts are great.

Review 37:If you love Mozart, the location across the street from his father's birth place/museum will thrill you. Right on tram line 2 also. Very handy.

Review 38:No complaints at all.

Review 39:Friendly staff on reception. On site parking with overflow facility close by. Convenient close to the centre of Augsburg. Very good value for money

Review 40:Awoke with back pain from the bed. Occupant of room next door was locked out and created a lot of noise at 0100 and 0230 trying to wake others up in his room to get it. Streetcar ran directly below our window. This wasn't too bad as it didn't run for much of the late night but did start again in the early morning.

Review 41:Staff was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. Room was large and clean. Hotel is conveniently located within short walking distance of the center of the city, fest areas, and restaurants.

Review 42:Our room was on the tram side of the building and it was too distracting.

Review 43:close to the Dom and easy walking distance to everything. Clean hotel, and very friendly staff. They would speak to you in English once they knew that was your native tongue.

Review 44:Our room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable with a large bathroom. There is a secure underground garage beneath the hotel where we parked and apparently further parking in an adjacent location. We felt that the Augsburger Hof offered an authentic German feel in its decor yet was not "dated" in any way. There is a tramline running outside the hotel but we were not disturbed by the noise in any way. On our departure morning the kind receptionist said that we were welcome to leave our car parked in the hotel car park for as long as we liked if we wished to explore a little more of the city by daylight. Internet connection was fast and efficient.

Review 45:Only complaint is parking - very tight and difficult

Review 46:The staff very accompanying, sokets English - good food and service at the restaurant- overall I highl recommend!

Review 47:Breakfast was not up to 4* standards Wi-fi did not work in our room(#30) Shower gel/shampoo only available in wallmounted container Notthat good value for money (eur 110 per night per couple) consideringexpected 4* standards

Review 48:Location 5 mins walk from Dome/ 10 mins walk from city center WoodenRoom furniture in old style Overall hotel atmosphere

Review 49:There was a bar next door, and the patrons were loud leaving late at night.

Review 50:The room was very comfortable, and close to restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Parking was convenient.

Review 51:Wanted to use stairs but had to use elevator due to people smoking in stairwell.

Review 52:Excellent breakfast, on site parking a big plus. Comfortable rooms, great amenities.

Review 53:The staff was very helpful and friendly. They added a special feeling to the whole experience. Food was plentiful, very well presented and excellent tasting. Accomodations were comfortable and very clean. Location was perfect for walking or tram/train traveling.

Review 54:Too much noise, caused by the railway just beneath my window. Avoid the rooms located beside the avenue where the trains are passing by.

Review 55:Location, breakfast, Nice people, garage

Review 56:- Lighting system was a bit akward, and some lights were not working - W Lan was very slow - Decoration/environment lacks a bit of originality

Review 57:- Staff very friendly - Clean and overall good state

Review 58:Parking is tight and if you are bothered by noise, it can get kind of noisy with cars constantly driving by, etc. For us, these things were not a big deal.

Review 59:The location of this hotel is great- pretty much a straight shot down one of the main streets that leads you right into town...about a 10 min. walk. The hotel itself is charming, spacious, and clean. The restaurant is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. They offer a good variety with breakfast- everything from eggs, meats and cheeses, cereal, etc. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Review 60:GOOD LOCATION, FRIENDLY PEOPLE

Review 101:Wifi really poor.traffic noise early morning

Review 102:Breakfast. Staff

Review 103:Very friendly staff. Convienient location.

Review 104:WiFi was wiffy! Bar closes too early!

Review 105:Location, Parking, Restaurant, Breakfast.

Review 106:The trams can be. Bit noisy if you have the windows open

Review 107:Everything was very good

Review 108:The staff were very helpful and attentive throughout out stay. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast buffet. Even though the room was facing a main road, it was very quiet.

Review 109:The surliness of the staff, no parking when it stated parking available.5 spaces and none were available and when asked where to park nosuggestions were forthcoming. We are older and had to handle our ownluggage. Room was so compact that we had no where to open our luggagebut on the bed then close it and stuff it under a desk unit at the endof the bed

Review 110:Not a whole. Canceled the second and moved on to another location.

Review 111:This hotel was a real pleasure to stay in. Everything was first class! The people were helpful, the room was large, quiet and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the wifi screamed. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Review 112:Wifi doesn't reach our room And I was hoping that a romantic hotel's bed will not be two single beds pushed together. It was rather hard to be "romantic" when we cannot hug in the middle of the night as we keep falling down the hole between beds :(

Review 113:Romantik hotel surely have a great staffs and a very tasty restaurant

Review 114:Restaurant was closed 'on holiday' while I was there but the breakfast was very good for the buffet. Right next door to the hotel is an Irish Pub and it was wonderful!

Review 115:The room was beautiful and quaint. Very nice view from all windows. Near all the items I wanted to see and close to the center of town while not being in the center.

Review 116:I liked all of it

Review 117:Staff were prompt and helpful evening meal was excellent Breakfast good Ceiling fan in room on a very warm evening was appreciated Secure garage parking appreciated

Review 118:Street noise when windows were open.

Review 119:Location is good for sightseeing. Fresh fruit in room on arrival. Nice selection of breakfast foods. Beds and pillows were comfortable.

Review 120:all the traffic tie-ups in the inner city due to construction everywhere

Review 121:lovely rooms, quiet and overlooking courtyard - great service - terrific location

Review 122:The train runs almost close to the hotel and it was noisy. Anyway it was not a big problem.

Review 123:The staff was very helpful and kind, the room was large and confortable. The position in the middle of the city.

Review 124:To book a 4 star hotel and end up sleeping in an attic room in a small single bed with a hard, wood, surround with only a shower. I think I didnt get nice room as I was on cheeper rate through you.

Review 125:Old Bavarian style, city centre, and easy parking at reasonable rate..

Review 126:Parking was extremely tight. This isn't really a negative, just something to be aware of if you are coming by car.

Review 127:Staff were extremely helpful and kitchen was open late. The location was steps away from everything we wanted to see in Old Town part of Augsburg. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Very good shower.

Review 128:Twin bed instead of double bed, very strange pillows, shower doors very annoying. (Augsburg is boring...)

Review 129:Staff very friendly - even walked us to our room. Lovely sweet room, good location.

Review 130:internet was poor, service was mostly not very cordial. Desk service was not consistent )depending on who was working.

Review 131:good value and good location and good breakfast.

Review 132:Breakfast is very poor. There is only bioled eggs as hot dishes.Everyday is the same menu - it's very poor for a 4 star hotel. Itwould be perfect to add some enhancements in a breakfast such as friedbacon or sausages.

Review 133:I like location, although it's not in the very center, staff is veryfriendly. If you missed a breakfast you will be offered to get somethingin your room for no extra charges.
