Review 1：There was a Christmas party for a company in the dining room when I had dinner and no one had warned me about this. There was a broken hair dryer in the room and the person on the reception desk when informed, gave me a lesson in how to use a hairdryer rather than believing that it would only work when shaken.

Review 2：The location of the hotel is spectacular and there is a faded grandeur to the hotel fixtures. Stnning views makes this makes a great place to visit .

Review 4：The spa and sauna facilities are very good. Very comfortable room with brilliant shower. The food was excellent. Although I am not usually a fan of buffets the standard of cooking was very high. The wine was very good too. Great breakfast.

Review 6：Staff were welcoming. Beautiful position on the river. Built at a time of architectural splendour, with lots of verandas and balconies.

Review 7：They charge extra 5 EUR if you'd like to pay with credit cards, only cash or v-pay cards do not require a surcharge. This is a 5* hotel and charging extra for paying with Visa looks like a little greedy policy to make extra money. No way to use Wifi on the 4th floor - just no signal. And if you want to connect to Wifi in public areas, it is not free plus you have to do a separate registration with a service provider, meaning you need to complete a very long form and enter your credit card details. It is very inconvenient, especially from the phone. Even 2* hotels manage it better, either with the code or simple sign in. The "exclusive" room description says it should have a balcony, when in reality it doesn't, there is a construction going on. The hotel kindly waived the extra price, but the description on booking.com is still incorrect. The breakfast is served until 10 am, even on Sunday. Won't stay there again.

Review 8：The lobby is very luxurious and quite impressive. Swimming pool and especially sauna areas are excellent, about 10+ different saunas, breakfast and dinner very-very nice and good value for money. Location is very central, on the banks of the small river.

Review 9：Amazing hotel and surrounding area. Pool was good, breakfast was really good, selection of food and setting (furniture & surrounds) made you feel like royalty! Great place.

Review 10：The shower isn't enclosed so the water gets on the floor. The wifi didn't work in our room however, we were able to use the computer in the lobby. The room was a little dark.

Review 13：The hotel is like a palace and one feels like royalty when you walk in. First impression is the friendly staff greeted with a smile and polished marble. Check in was fast and when you walk into the room there is a basket waiting with the spa extras needed for a relaxing weekend. Great location along the river with many sidewalk cafes, a river boat and shops. Will be back!!!

Not enough infomation about mineral springs available at the hotel/reception. Overall not very cozy ambience on the ground floor, also in the bar. Old style design of the rooms (a lot of fabric decoration, etc.) might be a problem for real high-tech lovers, especially in case of a long stay.

Review 37：A hotel with impressive history. Elegant interior. Ideal spa - spacious swimming pool with water directly from the mineral springs and a good set of sauna's, most of which are decorated with natural stone. Heaven for soul and body. Located in the centre of Bad Ems.

Review 38：This hotel was designed by a russian oligargh apparantly--it was recently renovated but in an expensive and tacky way. The bedding is in sad shape, one feather pillow provided when i specifically requested synthetic. The gym was a joke--old home exercise equipment. The bar closed early and there is no food later at night. The town is likely lively in warm weather, but if you are a bit active or discerning, you will not enjoy it here. Wifi was weak and not working in the rooms almost at all...

Review 43：This hotel is one of the most beautiful and impressive places we have ever stayed. The rooms are very, very comfortable. The spa is incredible with so many different experiences that there is something for everyone. The dinner menu and breakfast buffet contain something to please every palate. Lastly the staff is very efficient. We reported a light bulb that had burned out and it was changed immediately!!

Review 44：The way how staff insists on a naked spa zone. This is unappropriate for some of the tourists and a weird for the hotel which might want to attract international customers as well. Nevertheless, once there are more people in the swimming suits, staff is definitely less insistant.
