You must have a car to stay there, but it is easy to reach Freiburg and park your car in the parkings in the city.Freiburg is beautiful and charming. I recommend to stay in this hotel to visit Freiburg. Good room with a small table and sofa, good bathroom, good breakfast. TV channels in English. The staff in the breakfast are very nice. They have restaurant but I didn´t use it, so I cannot give my opinion. We went to a good German, familiar restaurant called "Gasthaus Eichberg" (Am Eichberg 20), very close, up in a hill with a sensational view. Good price and food. It was said that Schnitzel is the speciality and we loved it.

Review 34：We paid for the special dinner,bed & breakfast package in advance but turned up at 7pm on a Monday to find the restaurant had closed at 6pm. No notice in advance even though the hotel knew we were coming. We were offered only 5 EURO discount each for loss of the meal which did not cover the cost of the food we had to buy at a supermarket 12 miles drive away as there was nowhere else to eat locally. The attitude of staff to this was not impressive.

In the morning you wake up with the sound of birds and in the evening the smell of woods in the fire, from our room we could enjoy the view of the forest. The staff is very kind and professional, the restaurant is also great, after a long day you don't have to go out and look for a place to dinne. Great place!
Review 47：There is a restaurant in the hotel but it did not provide simple options for kids (like nuggets and french fries) and this was a limitation for us. We stayed in separate rooms (2+3) in the same floor but without a connecting door between them. This was suitable for our needs but may be a limitation for others.
Review 48：Very good location near the highway and not far from the main attractions of the south black forest. The hotel and town are beautiful! The rooms clean and comfortable, and there's free parking at the hotel, as well as an elevator inside the hotel. We traveled by car but traveling by public transportation is also possible free of charge with a card given at the hotel.

It is quite far from the city center of Freiburg, but with the car is only 15 minutes, and the hotel provides you with a free pass for public transports during the lenght of your stay and a free wireless connection. Moreover it is surrounded by hills and countryside, with a quiet and wondeful atmosphere and view. The breakfast was German style but a lot of choices among salty and sweet things, and good quality. We have been really satisfied with the Schwarzenbergs Traube!
