Reviews for Jugendherberge Freiburg
Review 1:Room never seemed to get cleaned, location is far from the city. Way too expensive for what it is. Have to pay for the Internet....
Review 2:The dinner and breakfast
Review 3:They have *** NO *** WiFi connection for guests except for a public hotspot that let's you connect for 30 minutes every 8 hours!?!?!?!?!?!? They don't give guests access to a kitchen, which is also a disadvantage in a hostel!
Review 4:Just about everything, except (a) the price (kind of high for a hostel), (b) the lack of a kitchen for guest use and (c) the inexistence of a WiFi connection for guests!
Review 5:No internet in the room Room was rarely cleaned for the time I was there. the lady I shared the room with confirmed the bathroom had not been cleaned for the period of time she was there. I suggest there should be strict supervision on cleanliness of rooms, especially because they are shared.
Review 6:privacy, comfort on bed, working table
Review 7:Wifi is not for free (2€/hour or 5€/24h) but the realproblem/inconvenience is: It's not accessible in the rooms -only in front of reception and in the basement- community room; longerwalk to the next train/bus station (ca.10-20 Minutes, depending onhow much luggage you have to carry and due to a longer muddy nonconcrete road after the bridge)
Review 8:Clean, friendly and helpful staff, elevator to all levels, breakfastincluded, good shower water pressure, free lockers in the room
Review 9:1. the checking in time is not 24 hours 2. the wifi is really poor and 30 mins free and the ground floor only....
Review 10:very clean staff is friendly

Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:A little far from the town centre, but the youth hostel advised us on the local trams which was great!
Review 15:Everything! The rooms were great, everything was clean, lots of parking and in a great, peaceful location.
Review 16:Please don't stay this hotel. It's very long away from the Freiburg city center and its services are very bad. People of reseption are not helpful and they never smile... And also toilet and bath of rooms are very small. This is expensive too
Review 17:-Staff answered most questions by saying 'I don't know' even getting directions to the hostel was difficult. (fyi, it's tram line 1/red in the direction of littenweiler, get off at romerhof and there are signs for the hostel on ur left, it's a 10 minute walk) - HUGE, institutional-looking building, seems to appeal to school groups and families, not really geared up for backpackers - no atmosphere and not much fun to be had sorry (this was in winter, maybe things are different in summer) - No access to cooking facilities - 1 shared tv, no dvd player/cd player/music - Table tennis with no bats available, small hire fee for table tennis ball - One of our days here was a very cold public holiday, apart from playing in the snow or reading there was really little else to do. They could make much better use of the communal areas with some music, dvds, games, and maybe some talkative, friendly staff.
Review 18:-Next door to the forest so very easy access for hiking -Lots of communal areas -Good food and drink at the brewery 5 minutes walk away -Standard continental breakfast included
Review 19:Paying for wifi and distance from the town centre
Review 20:Clean and comfortable. Lots of facilities e.g. Sports. Great breakfast
Review 21:nice view
Review 22:lack of breakfast variety late check-in times (2 pm is too late) hurried check out times (9.30 am is too early)
Review 23:location cleanliness comfort
Review 24:-very small parking -no free wifi -far from the city -very simple breakfast
Review 25:Room was quite cramped, the 4 person room had enough space for two only. 1 table for 4 persons?
Review 26:Inroom bath and toilet was good.
Review 27:Wifi was 5 Euros per 24h. the staff did not let me know where theelevator was, when I had a 15kg suitcase.
Review 28:Breakfast was ok.
Review 29:right on the trail head, quick check in and check out, and early breakfast
