Reviews for La Galouine auberge et Restaurant
Review 1:Well, rooms are very small with nowhere to put anything, but having said that, clean and cosy and for the price we paid, can't complain. Ok for 2 nights. Restaurant I think is over rated
Review 2:Lovely location, easy walk to whale watch. Bar/restaurant downstairs with outside seating and fire pit, spent a great evening there.
Review 3:Rooms are very small. Had to rent two rooms as parents with three young teen age kids. Toilets didn't flush properly, had to continusly adjust the flapper. A church blocked our view to the water, so no direct whale watching from here..
Review 4:Location and the town itself was amazing!!! Restaurant was pricey but it's right next to a convenience store that sold good hot and cold meals.
Review 5:some staff were rude when asked for assistance. lots of renovations have been done and are well noted. However improvements still required in our room ie table for 2 chairs that were there, place to hang towels in bathroom, plus closet or place to hang some clothes
Review 6:location
Review 7:Slightly difficult language barrier with some staff.
Review 8:Good value for money in a lovely small town, with a very good restaurant attached. Extremely comfortable bed. Useful parking too.
Review 9:Bed was terrible but I am used to a memory foam mattress so hard to know if it was really that bad. A bit noisy over the restaurant until 11ish. Wifi was terrible.
Review 10:Location, food was great for our party of seven at both dinner and breakfast. Next to a market for last minute items.
Review 11:Our room was located over the kitchen so it was very noisy in the evening and after the kitchen was closed while staff was cleaning and then again in the morning while getting set up for breakfast and starting the day. Our room didn't have a closet or drawers for clothing, we kept all our clothes in our suitcases. The restaurants are quite pricey.
Review 12:The location was great, in the heart of this tiny village. Our room(Queen room, #7), was very clean, I think it was newly renovated. The bed was comfortable, linens clean and fresh. There was a little bar fridge and keurig coffee maker in the room. The little grocery store sells keurig coffee pods and milk that you can take to your room. Food at the restaurant was tasty.
Review 13:steep stairs
Review 14:staff and food
Review 15:Size of room, furniture provided in room.
Review 16:Location, Good shower.
Review 17:Poor internet coverage
Review 18:A lot of noice from the room nextdore and upstaires because of old building
Review 19:Very goed restaurant
Review 20:- WIFI did not work in the bedroom - wooden floors, so you hear every move (also from your neighbours) - our room was just above the restaurant, so that was a bit noisy in the evening
Review 21:- clean bedroom located in the heart of tadoussac next to a small supermarket; - ideal starting point for the fabulous whale watching tours - great seafood restaurant
Review 22:La Galouine is a great pied à terre to visit Tadoussac. My room was very cosy, quiet, and tidy. I loved those wavy old wood floors, just begging you to drink a glass of red or quaff a Québec beer, so you can walk straight. The auberge is in the middle of the action: minutes from the ferry across the Saguenay, with a fine restaurant below the rooms, and a big balcony right as you step out of your room. Everyone was very courteous and helpful.
Review 23:Room is clad in wood and therefore a little dark.
Review 24:Location was good for the whale watching tours.
