Review 1：The rooms were very warm at night, for those of us who are used to sleeping with A/C.
Review 2：This place is a "must see for your bucket list!" The staff and guides were what makes it so special. We felt like family!
Review 3：No A/C and the hot water was a hit or miss. We had none. The grounds also flooded during the downpour, we feared that we would be evacuated, but no one else seemed concerned except for us. We had a beer and settled into our hammock to watch.
Review 4：Our adventure in Costa Rica included a two night stay at Mawamba. The staff were very helpful in arranging transportation for us because we came from another direction than most. The tours were wonderful including the opportunity to see two turtles nesting. The boat tour was full of exciting things to see and our 9 year old daughter was thrilled. And the hammock outside each room was a treat. The two night stay is perfect.
The Fine Print
Please note that the 3 day packages depart to Tortuguero town in the early morning between 6:00 and 7:00 from major hotels in San José area. Guests are recommended to arrive to San Jose and book a room the night before departure. San Jose Hotel Drop Off takes place on Day 3 at 16:00 pm. For a complete Itinerary please contact the property directly.Please note that the room rate does not include the USD 15 entrance fee for adults and the USD 5 fee for children from 5 to 11 years old to Tortuguero National Park. Children of 0 to 4 years old have access free of charge.Children up to four years of age stay for free, while children from 5 to 11 years of age are charged 50% of the room rate, per person, per night.There is a maximum of 2 children per room.
