Reviews for Hotel Allalin

Review 1:Nothing really, this was our second stay, and I don't think it will be the last time.

Review 2:Fantastic place to stay for a week of skiing or hiking. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, modern bathroom, well equipped. Especially the food, if you take half board is excellent. The host is very friendly and will take time to talk to his guests every day.

Review 3:There was nothing we could fault the hotel on during our stay. If I ever revisit Saas Fee I would certainly rebook.

Review 4:Great family run hotel with the personal touch. Very efficient and very friendly. We paid for the six course evening meal and would highly recommend this option to travellers. Although drinks are not included it is still great value compared to the cost of eating out in Saas Fee, and the quality of the food was really very good, there were even a few dishes I would rate as excellent. It's more fine dining than burger or pasta, so bear this in mind if you have younger children.

Review 5:Allalin was fantastic! The Zurbriggen family made us feel very welcome and provided a comforting family atmosphere. The hotel was clean and well presented. The room was comfortable and well looked after. We loved our stay here! A big shout out to Eva and Sabrina who made us feel at home!

Review 6:Hotel is expensive for the level of amenity (though we stayed over the peak Christmas period). It is a 10 minute walk to the slopes of you don't catch the shuttle.

Review 7:Breakfast was excellent. Store room next to the slopes and shuttle service were very good. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

Review 8:The hotel was in a lovely setting and the staff were very pleasant too . We were only there on a short skiing hols but we'd highly recommend this hotel to all

Review 9:We were here following a mountaineering trip and to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Hospitality from Tobias, Eva and Sabrina was exceptionally personal and we found ourselves in a home away from home. Dinner was superb (my wife had the pistachio crusted lamb and I had the steak) as was the hearty breakfast (must have the croissants).

Review 10:I had to leave too soon.

Review 11:The staff is friendly and helpful. The food was magnificent. Be sure to take their dinner plan. The room was spacious and had a great view. The Zurbriggens continue to deliver a wonderful hotel experience.

Review 12:Nothing.

Review 13:The breakfast and dinner were outstandingly good. The staff were very kind, flexible and helpful. The location is very convenient for transport. We had a beautifully designed and appointed modern room; the bathroom was to the same standard - very comfortable.

Review 14:Jacuzzi/Spa could be modernized.

Review 15:Location is very convenient (close to parking and center). Friendly staff, very clean place and comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good, with home-made jam, good coffee and a nice choice of juices.

Review 16:The candle lit dining room - the half board six course dinner is the best deal in town. The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely well organized. Saas Fee is a stunning Alpine village.

Review 17:This was our first trip to Saas-Fee and it was amazing! This is an excellent Family run business, which was so helpful, friendly, professional and overall great people! From start to finish everything was great. They promptly picked us up at the bus station and took us to the hotel. The room was extremely clean, nice and comfortable. The location was perfect and wasn't a long walk to anything and it was away from everything that was loud. They offered great recommendations on places to eat but also had a great food. We ate Christmas Dinner with them and it was great, we felt like we were with family! Amazing atmosphere! Breakfast was excellent also. They also offered ski lockers beside the lifts, which were so convenient! One evening, they had a meet and greet for all guest staying at the hotel and it was so nice, great drinks and food. Overall, was our favorite place we stayed our entire trip! We will definitely be back!

Review 18:WiFi could be better

Review 19:Proprietors are awesome! Serving Staff is professional, flexible and very friendly. Overall Hospitality Ski Area Food (both breakfast and dinner are excellent!!!) Rooms Facilities

Review 20:A bit too hot at night in our room. We should have flagged to the hotel reception as they did say at start of visit to let them know if room temperature not to our liking. Would address next time.

Review 21:Excellent food at breakfast and evening 6 course. Half board rate very good value for money (if you want to eat well). Liked the jacuzzi and sauna at end of the day. Great space in room (we had standard double). Staff very helpful. Nicely located in quite spot but handy for shops and bars. Locked room opposite main ski lift for all ski equipment. Takes 5 mins to walk there from hotel. Would definitely stay here again if we do hotel option and definitely half board too.

Review 22:The internet connection from our room was not very good.

Review 23:We stayed here 3 years ago and it is still marvellous. The staff worked hard to make us feel at home. The half board option is well worth it, delicious food and wonderful staff. We really liked having the tea making facility in the room and afternoon tea, these are improvements since our last stay.

Review 24:Food was spectacular and the staff were more than accommodating. They taxied us all over so that we didn't need to carry our skis on arrival to the boot room. They were so proffessional and friendly.

Review 25:Our only complaint was that one of the bath towels & bath mat in our room was quite worn, especially as we had a superior room, but we did notice that the next day it had been changed.

Review 26:Friendly staff Good Food Free pass to use on cable cars & local bus. Lovely sunny garden to come back to & relax in after a day walking in the mountains.

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:The owners family of this hotel are Wonderful and friendly family. They are always helping.

Review 29:Excellent views Excellent staff Excellent rooms

Review 30:A bit far from the centre of activities

Review 31:Generous, clean room with balcony Lovely breakfast

Review 32:Friendliness of staff Breakfast

Review 33:Very friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant rooms

Review 34:i thought that the staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff exceptionally so. We were upgraded to a suite which was a welcome surprise. Overall we were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again thankyou

Review 35:Spa is really small, but this is probably not the most important in the hotel. What really spoilt all impression, and at the last moment, is that they charged 10 additional Franks for the breakfast for 1 year old baby, which stayed 1 night in the other hotel and 1 night in Allalin. I think it was very bureaucratic and not nice.

Review 36:Everything was almost perfect - big cosy well renovated rooms, the spa was opened even in the dead season - middle may.

Review 37:too short...

Review 38:We book at the last minute but despite the time there was someone at the hotel to pick us up at the parking, brought to the nice comfy room at the ground floor and let us the key of the hotel almost empty because of the season. The next day breakfast in bed was sublime, followed by the jacuzzi and sauna. just a fine day!

Review 39:Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for annual leave. It was also the (very)quiet season. There was a very limited choice of restaurants. No staff on in hotel after 7.00pm and consequently we could get neither coffee nor alcohol after then.

Review 40:Stunning room and view from balcony. Comfort and space helpful staff

Review 41:Spa area rather small

Review 42:Lovely staff and overall atmosphere, rooms spacious and comfortable with sitting area, fabulous restaurant (very good value for half board), chocolates at Easter ...

Review 43:We couldn't have been any more happier with our stay at Hotel Allalin. It was perfect! The sisters who own the hotel were so wonderful and helpful. Thank you so much. The Bunting Family.

Review 44:We have now been to Switzerland from the U.S. 12 times. We have been to Saas Fee 11 of those years, and have stayed at the Allalin EVERY year. It has consistently maintained the highest of standards in service and accommodations all of these years. We've stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world, and frankly we love the Allalin more than any other hotel. Run by the Zurbriggen family…..just the most wonderful people you'll ever meet. For us it's like visiting dear friends every time we go to Saas Fee. Most beautiful town on earth, and the Allalin is the most wonderful hotel in Saas Fee.

Review 45:The 1st. Class atmosphere and friendly staff, always happy and helpful. We enjoyed Mr. Zurbriggen sen. Who told us jokes every night at the dinner table.

Review 46:Wifi strength wasn't good in my room (often non-existent). Coffee wasn't good. Bacon and egg dish at breakfast was cold both days - it shouldn't be hard to keep hot food warm. Everything else was great

Review 47:Staff, service, room comfort and quality of the refurbished double, lots of home-made things at breakfast, ski room by the alpine express as well as at the hotel

Review 48:we loved everything. had room 21 it was really lovely, only moan if I must be honest, the bed felt like a rise in the centre which made cuddles uncomfortable, kept rolling back to the sides ! it felt like sleeping in twin beds. All staff were so helpful, kind & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend Hotel Allalin to anyone . Thank you x

Review 49:It was quiet for them but the staff were really helpful and friendly. They even went out of their way so that we could organise watching a rugby match on british tv. Hotel is very close to the car park so no long trek with cases and skis. Rooms are spacious and comfortable too. Would definitely go there again.

Review 50:Very friendly family owned hotel, close to arrival bus stop. Everything was immaculate, great WIFI without having to log- in each time. That is very appreciated these days. Saas Fee was empty of tourists first week of July! Great hiking. Hiking was beautiful

Review 51:In the lounge where one had cakes it would have been nicer if the curtains were open so you could see the view - a minor point in a great stay.

Review 52:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room; great breakfast. Just outside the bus stop to go to the slopes.

Review 53:Quality rooms with excellent bathroom facilities - big bath - heatedtowel rail- big fluffy towels . First class food . Helpful staff. It hasthe warmth of a hotel that has been run by the same family for severalgenerations .My late in laws were their for their honeymoon in 1947. Wewill not be the last members of our family to make a visit.
