Reviews for Hotel Georges

Review 1:Carpets at the motel part start to look a little bit old. Wifi was slow.

Review 2:The place is very convenient to explore the awesome region. The motel itself is comfortable. There is even a small pond at the back in which one can go swimming surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The staff is really kind and helpful when planning different activities in the area.

Review 3:Rooms are pretty basic. No telephone or fridge. Bed could have been more comfortable. I asked what beers they had on tap and was told the taps are just for decoration. I felt like I paid a bit more than what the room was worth. I understand that the area is completely tourist based though and that is why they can charge what they do per room.

Review 4:Good location right off the highway. Walking distance to any of the restaurants and attractions in town.

Review 5:Restaurant was closed Breakfast was miniscule and had no variety. Thin floors/walls Small room + bathroom Windows were tiny Few available plugs in the room Too far from the strip. No A/C or fan No coffee machine ... or any other useful items you might expect to see in a room. There was an alarm clock, but we had to unplug it to charge our phone.

Review 6:It was quiet at night. Room was clean.

Review 7:I liked everything

Review 8:I loved it that the hotel had access to canoes and a lake overlooked by a lawn and garden where we could have lunch and swim. I loved the balconies overlooking the fjord.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Valet service well worth it. Excellent location

Review 11:Small room

Review 12:Breakfast

Review 13:Is on the main road to the ferry

Review 14:we left 1 day earlier and they did not ask us or gave us a reduction

Review 15:Too close to the main road - very noisy with trucks coming off ferry No internet to speak of Doors not very secure

Review 16:Reception very helpful

Review 17:Car had a puncture, and staff could not have been more helpful.

Review 18:very good location and view. Friendly staff

Review 19:expensive

Review 20:clean

Review 21:Bathroom very dirty. Restaurant & bar was closed for the summer. Breakfast was coffee & toast only for $5.00

Review 22:WIFI was weak with little connectivity. Hot water was inconsistent and the shower requires upgrading

Review 23:Tour organisation Location Staff

Review 24:very basic accommodations, limited hot water, cold showers was noisy due to proximity to main road leading to ferry and truck traffic

Review 25:Noisy location but thanks to AC we could keep the windows close....!!!

Review 26:Expect to have dinner at the hotel but they serve only a continental breakfast

Review 27:Quiteness of the place even close to the main road

Review 28:Furniture and bed clothes very old. Really expensive Expensive and poor quality breakfast

Review 29:Location, easy to find

Review 30:Landlord of this motel is a very nice person, he is so friendly, helped us buy tickets for whale watching and drived us to the ferry and helped us catch the last bus of the day to Quebec City. He is just like a benign father of us. If there are two reasons for me to fall in love with this small town, one is the view of the town, another one is Hotel George.

Review 31:The room faces the road where all traffic passes for the ferry. Verynoisy. Very expensive. Would not stay there if I ever return toTadoussac.

Review 32:Not much really. Really too expensive for a small room. The tv had lotsof channels with cartoons for the little ones and sports and news foradults. But $175 with txs is very expensive to watch tv!!

Review 33:Tacky and vey overpriced . Fewer towels than usual in motels, nylon like bedding, springy floors. The whole place was sort of thinly put together. Of the 60 motels we've stayed in this probably came in about number 58.

Review 34:Friendly welcome by young female. Good facade

Review 35:No coffee in the room and had to pay 5.18 for 2 Dixie cups of coffee when it was a valuable . Also no ice. The restaurant wasn't open. It is also a piece from town, not handy

Review 36:it's not an hotel but a motel, with small rooms, without air conditionning and not so clean. it's located right on the main road with trucks passing by every 20 mn ( coming down from the boat);the room is over priced (185$) . The restautant was weak: meat of low quality, the lobster was old and dry ( for 45$). One girl at the desk was aggressive and unpleasant when I told her we hadn't sleep; finally, the boss never answered the mail I politely adressed to him.

Review 37:a lesson for my boys : facing the unpleasant events that occurs during a trip, that's part of life ! they did ok. I'm proud of them.

Review 38:We booked a wheelchair accessible room. But on arrival were given a roomwith two steps up to it. Although the staff put a wooden ramp up for usand it was fine in the end, it was a bit inconvenient.

Review 39:Very friendly staff. Delicious food. Clean adn comfortable room in agood location.

Review 40:Close to main traffic road, room was small, shower was leaking.

Review 41:The place was clean. Had internet.

Review 42:breakfast should have had more choices seeing as it was not included in the price

Review 43:cleanliness and great staff easy walk in to town

Review 44:Location , cleanliness,convenience ( restaurants on premises)

Review 45:Friendly staff , great whale watching opportunities, good meals , staff very helpful.

Review 46:This is advertised as a hotel but is a motel

Review 47:Location

Review 48:View of the saguenay

Review 49:The price for what we had...Maybe the prices were high because it was festival time...

Review 50:The trucks in middle of night!! The sound of bed.
