Reviews for Hotel El Araucano

Review 1:There are no blackout curtains and the bedroom was filled with light all night. They really need to correct this.

Review 2:Terrific location overlooking the main plaza. Delicious fresh juice and fruit with breakfast. Problem dealt with quickly and even with an upgraded room!

Review 3:Staff was cranky especially the ones on afternoon/evening. They weren't interested in going the extra mile.

Review 4:Hotel is right downtown next to Independence Square, and with parking. Hotel is older but room was spotless. Everything worked. Breakfast was superior.

Review 5:The hotel is in clear need of a renovation. The room had an "old room" smell. Granted, you get used to it fast :).

Review 6:Very helpful staff, always willing go help and with a smile on their faces.

Review 7:One can follow the conversations on the television of the neighbour, which watched tv at midnight as well as at 5 am. Bring ear plugs if you want to get sleep!

Review 8:location

Review 9:The facility needs an uplift. Lobby is small and without air conditioner.

Review 10:I like the service and food.

Review 11:Breakfast was underwhelming

Review 12:Location was great

Review 13:Internet doesn't really work, clogged bathtub

Review 14:Location, view, staff, quality/price ratio

Review 15:Location is good, rooms are confortable and internet wifi works really fast

Review 16:Location

Review 17:Poor service

Review 18:Convenient location and restaurant

Review 19:Estacionamiento pequeño. Servicios SPA no disponibles en FDS que fuimos

Review 20:En el centro de la Ciudad

Review 21:The hotel didn't have my reservation made by booking. The breakfast was awful. Old and dirty facilities.

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:Staff should be more helpful in providing information about the city. (They had no maps!)

Review 24:Location is great.

Review 25:Poor service, bad atention in the restaurant, IHad to find à Walter to get served and then find them to pay, breakfast even though well presented, is not what you expect of a four star hotel, Broken AC in the suite, had to call reception to get towels, they had forgotten to put them upon our arrival, it felt like a two star hotel

Review 26:City itself has little to offer. Lots of old poorly maintained run down buildings.

Review 27:Stayed in the suite which was quite large and well furnished. Excellent location in downtown Concepcion. Clean and well maintained room.

Review 28:Really old and badly mantained structure. A window could not be closed, defective furniture, blanket was misplaced at arrival, bad smell everywhere covered by spray parfum. Room noisy from sound outside and really noisy from other room "activities"... restaurant offer too limited meals for a 4 stars hotel, bad smell also in the restaurant and visible old dust almost everywhere. Not 4 stars hotel, barely a 2 stars. Concepcion city and its peple would worth better hotels.

Review 29:Central position. Kind personnel.

Review 30:Breakfast at the restaurant was good (though waiters could pay more attention to keeping everything topped up), but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner as the food is okay, but nothing great.

Review 31:Check in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and willing to answer questions Selection at breakfast was good Room clean and spacious. The location is very central and our room had an awesome view over the Plaza Independencia

Review 32:One big problem is that they do not exchange foreign currency. They have an exchange bank in the basement, but it opens only at 10 AM. During the business meetings from 8:30 AM to 11 PM, it is impossible to go there after 10 AM. Any hotel of this class should have money exchange.

Review 33:Mostly, no frill and practical.

Review 34:Waiter at evening - who appeared to want to be somewhere else..............

Review 35:Well located at city centre. Chambermaid very friendly and helpful

Review 36:Hard to find Sauna did not work

Review 37:Had private parking Pool Great views Location near shopping
