Reviews for Hotel du Glacier – The Dom Collection

Review 1:So many different tax, it's my first time hotel charged so much tax in Saas Fee. I can understand city tax but they also charge like tourism tax and experience tax. We have stay in the hotel for 4 nights and we paid around 100 Fr taxes.

Review 2:Staffs are kind. Hotel is located in the village center and it's also near supermarkets.

Review 3:Some girls don't speak English well enough at the reception...

Review 4:Massimiliano is "the Guy"! He picked me up, accompanied me and my son to ski, etc, very helpful guy who made the difference!

Review 5:We were actually put in The Dom Hotel, so this review is for The Dom, not the Glacier. Absolutely superb experience from start to finish. Wonderful staff, beautiful room, fabulous food both at breakfast and in the restaurant. The hotel has been renovated with excellent taste. I don't think we have ever had such consistently good service either. Will certainly go back. The Hotel du Glacier café and terrace is great too.

Review 6:This was a 'value deal' - we stayed first week in October so the bar, restaurant and all facilities were closed - not made clear in the booking. We weren't given our Burgerpasses when we registered, entitling us to free use of the lifts and buses. Didn't get these until our third and last day disappointingly.

Review 7:Despite having to go across to the sister hotel for breakfast, breakfast was excellent - choice and quality. Staff were great and room was comfortable.

Review 8:We booked a "extra-large double bed" in a room with "bathrobe and slippers" in a hotel with sauna and hammam. We got none of them!!

Review 9:Very good breakfast.

Review 10:Great location, friendly staff, got an upgraded room with separate sitting area and balcony. Better spa facilities that other hotels.

Review 11:the mattress was to soft...

Review 12:the staff is so nice! the location is wonderfull and breakfast was excellent.

Review 13:The mattress might be too soft, but it's more personal feeling

Review 14:Breakfast, staff, location

Review 15:we got upgraded for free.

Review 16:Family room 401 with plenty of space, breakfast buffet at Dom hotel, very friendly staff

Review 17:Never saw staff. Even though i checked in afternoon, there was noone around they left my key on desk

Review 18:Excellence

Review 19:Staff very friendly and helpfull

Review 20:Beautiful flowers and location wonderful hotel

Review 21:Le personnel

Review 22:The decor in the room/bathroom was very tired and old. There was an old electric heater/towel rail in the bathroom, but otherwise there did not appear to be another source of heating in the room and was a bit cold at times. Some of the staff were a bit moody (others were lovely and very helpful!). There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no room service. The wifi often did not work in the room. The hotel bar was a bit depressing, never staffed and had run out of draught beer for our whole stay.

Review 23:The views of the mountains were great. The room was spacious. Location was central and a short 5-10 mins walk to the ski lifts.

Review 24:Pool table would benefit from appropriate lighting and the baby grand needs tuning!

Review 25:We used the Dom Suite which was on the fourth floor and had four bedrooms and three wcs. 2 showers, bath , living area and kitchen . Lovely views of the mountains. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. We used Felix for ski rental who were excellent...keep your skis there overnight next to the lifts. There was plenty of choice for eating out in the evening or for using the local supermarkets and staying in. Sauna, steam room and jucuzzi were a real bonus. A great value hotel and no queues for lifts - ideal for up to 6 adults wanting to share.

Review 26:Rooms were functional and lacked character. Bed linen was more akin to budget hotel than 4 star hotel. Air con seemed uncontrollable and rooms very warm. Not a real issue as opened windows but heating retaliated and whacked out more heat!

Review 27:Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good value and well located for the village. Rooms were spacious (apartment style) and great views of the mountains. Would be happy to return assuming we got same price.

Review 28:No tea or coffee making facilities

Review 29:The Hotel was right in the heart of Saas Fee, easy access to everything and only moments from the bus station and car park.

Review 30:WiFi in the room did not always work.

Review 31:We stayed in the penthouse. The bedroom area was spacious and easily accommodated 6 people. The breakfast was delicious.

Review 32:Rooms were too hot and couldn't adjust temperature, sleeping was difficult

Review 33:Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Staff were beyond reproach. Location was excellent, short walk to the lift. Had a really good stay

Review 34:The German receptionists should know more about hotels, restaurants and other typical questions tourists have given the season didn't start yesterday.

Review 35:location was great; good breakfast choices; relaxed atmosphere; clean and convenient; friendly staff

Review 36:- wi-fi not working in any part of hotel for the most part - intermittently worked in the reception area but very slow. - Bar area etc lacked athomsphere and was mostly deserted.

Review 37::Location excellent Room spacious and comfortable Clean Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 38:The website does not reflect the hotel, there was no restaurant, the bar appeared closed therefore the place was like a deserted ship, all guests had to leave the hotel for anything. The management of the hotel is not apparent, only breakfast was available but the website promotes full meals available, wi-fi is advertised, available but did not work - not a value for money venue, I will not return here

Review 39:Minimal staff were helpful, the rooms very spacious and comfortable

Review 40:Fantastic hotel in a great location. Not far from the slopes. Staff was friendly helpful and fluent in English. Hotel was not overly crowded on a holiday weekend. Several other families with young children.

Review 41:The hotel has a great location, fantastic staff and excellent breakfast.

Review 42:internet did not work

Review 43:Breakfast not included.

Review 44:Prompt pickup from the bus terminal. Good guidance Very good suite (penthouse) with a great view of the mountains.

Review 45:As described, nice staff

Review 46:there is no restaurant for dinner within the hotel, which makes for a rather impersonal atmosphere no wi-fi in the rooms

Review 47:the excellent location

Review 48:Poor Wi-Fi connection.

Review 49:Loved the spa and my room was perfect

Review 50:* no restaurant available * poor internet access

Review 51:* splendid location * excellent family room

Review 52:Nice, spacious rooms, quiet, great location and good breakfast.

Review 53:nothing

Review 54:Excellent staff--very helpful and approachable.

Review 55:ideal location friendly staff
