Reviews for Parkhotel Bad Bertrich
Review 1:Personnel so so, when we came to check-in at 18:30 (offical working hours till 20:00), nobody was in Reception. I came to the Restaurant and the waiter said "I'm coming", but nothing happened in the next 10 min.
Review 2:Normal hotel, considering the price, the rooms in the 1st floor partly renovated to compare with ones in the 2nd floor. Excelent place with nice park just near hotel, Vulkaneifel Therme just 100 m away as well as the main pedestrian street.
Review 3:A young male member of staff couldnt /wouldnt help with my wifi connection. It turned out that the reference number had been printed in error. I had no internet to plan my first day.
Review 4:A very nice stay at reasonable prices. Beautiful location . Bikes were free although the man on reception told me they were 7 euros.
Review 5:- No refrigerator in the room. - No personal safe in the room. - The toilet is in a (too) narrow corner of the bathroom - WIFI is slow - No parking space near the hotel. Parking space walking distance is 7 euro/day. Other side of the town is 3 euro/day. - No staff after 22.00
Review 6:- The location - The staff - The ambiance - The town - Peaceful, quiet and stress free - Clean room
Review 7:Wifi was a little jumpy particularly on the terrace. Still Wifi is always a weak point and this was not worse than any other hotel where we have been. Breakfast could be a little more elaborated, but it was fair.
Review 8:Everything was comfortable and fair. We definitely disagree with the negative comments from other customers. We COULD pay with card.
Review 9:Shower head had an uncomfortable jet stream.
Review 10:Our late arrival was handled very well by the reception staff. Friendly staff in general. Beautiful historical building in a nice location, good breakfast. Would stay there again.
Review 11:The whole town has a feeling of rip off tourist trap. And the hotel even worse. Advertises itself as dog friendly. Is not. Charges extra 10€ extra for dog which has to be paid in cash. No receipt. Can't take the dog into the bar or breakfast room. No bathrobes as advertised. Espresso or cappuccino with your breakfast costs extra. No place to park your car in the hotel in a town which does not have any public parking spaces in the center. Lift did not work. Stay away from this place!
Review 12:The bed has 2 mattresses and 2 blankets, not good to be romantic together. We had specifically booked a room with a King-size bed which also appeared in the confirmation of the reservation through booking.com but the hotel doesn’t have such bed, not in any room. All rooms are equipped with a bed that has 2 single mattresses in it and 2 blankets. The person at the desk and later the owner explained us that such is the German-way, not very cozy to our opinion.
Review 13:The environment and the classic looks of the hotel
Review 14:unsatisfactory room services: clearing up, not changing bed linen, no fridge no air conditioning in the room, old plumbing
Review 15:beautiful location breakfast price
Review 16:the shower in the en suite was in need of updating
Review 17:location right next to the wellness centre was excellent
Review 18:The staffs are very friendly. It is located in the center of the town. The room looks better than the pictures.
Review 19:Hotel reception closes early

Review 26:Best Location, management
Review 27:Mr ? at reception very unfriendly No help
Review 28:All the Staffel exzeptionell Mr? at reception!
Review 29:Some other comments seen correct but at such a price ........
Review 30:Location and value for money.
Review 31:Staff came across as a little offhand and unfriendly.
Review 32:Location, room, great scenery
Review 33:ridiculous place. they close checkin at 8pm, despite the restaurant being open to past midnight, with just a message left in german saying i believe the equivalent of tough luck. when my girlfriend politely asked for dinner at 9:30 pm on a saturday night, just getting told 'Nein', when a fellow guest translated the waitress just said no more food, when asked if there was anything else in the village, the answer was again 'nein' and then the waitress walked off. of course the restaurant was again serving other guests to 1am that night. the beds are hard foam mattresses, the bathrooms tiny with just that wall mounted hand soap dispenser with no ventilation. the place is a joke that gives even a country with such reputation as germany a bad name. on checkout we where ignored while the guys behind the desk played with their iPhone and made a call respectively. the village is full of strange people and the hotel appalling and the staff self centred and generally unhelpful except for one receptionist. we used it as a base for a sporting event in the region and never will again. at all costs, save your sanity and holiday / weekend and stay elsewhere.
Review 34:We liked everything
Review 35:How accommodating the staff were when we were late back, they made us a club sandwich which was really appreciated. Thank you once again A very pleasant stay
Review 36:We sat at a table in the grounds where we were hoping to have a quiet drink and a snack. Tired of waiting (15 minutes or so) for the waitress to ask what we would like, I called over to her in my reasonable German and was totally ignored. We left our tables and had a very pleasent drink elsewhere. 50% of the bulbs in our room had blown. They were energy saving types so the remaining lighting was next to impossible to read by. As we were there for just one night, nothing was said. Saved a lot of energy though... When we checked out, we were told the credit card machine was broken so had to pay cash, which was annoying because we had exchanged enough for "incidentals" during the holiday, NOT hotel bills. Drawing out additional cash incurred charges which we had intended to avoid.
Review 37:An impressive looking hotel set in nice grounds in a very picturesque town. A convenient stop-off location on our way to Italy.
Review 38:Quiet location in pleasant spa town.Friendly, helpful staff, who spoke English.Lent us jump leads when our car had a flat battery after leaving car lights on one night. Overall very nice place.
Review 39:It is in a beautiful, bucolic setting. Listening to the church bells onSunday morning was a treat. It is such a quaint little Germany town, close to other great little towns.
Review 40:The rooms are quite old
Review 41:I would rate the hotel as 3 stars rather than 4. The hotel needs modernisation in the rooms
Review 42:Location
Review 43:Nothing
Review 44:Everything
Review 45:We were installed in a second house - the annex - and I missed a balcony
Review 46:The quietness of this location - hidden behind the small mointains
