Review 1：There were ants on my bed and the showerhead was broken. I had to ask for toilet paper because it wasn't replenished one day.
Review 2：I arrived at a chaotic, stressful time for the staff but they handled it very well. The location is convenient and safe and I liked that there was a bar onsite to party after a night out.
Review 3：1. I paid with cash to receptionist Clarissa during check-in (she asked me to pay before), I didn't get any confirmation, at the same time I was shown the room...on check-out the same receptionist Clarissa asked me to pay again!!! I was confused, because I didnt really remember who I paid to. However in few minutes I recognized that it was the same girl. Of course she could forget but it is pure irresponsibility - not give any confirmation, not do any confirmation in your system etc. So because of her fault I was in a big stress in my last morning on the island. I had to invite my friends to confirm my payment (They were with me when I was paying) But of course she didn't trust us enough just to let us go and enjoy last day! The only thing which she could offer is to wait for a woman who could show us video on a camera (Clarissa couldn't do that by herself!). Of course camera admitted that I have already paid! Clarissa even didn't say sorry or something, she was really unpleasant during all of these 3 hours which me and my friends have lost because of her irresponsibility! Obviously she doesn't know what it means "good service". Terrible. I asked he to print me a confirmation, but the printer didn't work well, so we had to wait a lot. Finally I just left. (At least I could see the confirmation on computer).2. A room safe didn't work! Also door locks in bathroom didn't work =/ Everybody can come in when you are taking a shower (I lived only with men- haha - quite risky)Thanks to my friend who had 2-3 locks and he lent me one...what could I do without him then? At least they have lockers but without locks...so I could put all of my stuff there.3. Air-conditioning...in the dormitory of my friends air-conditioning worked all the time...so it was super cold there! In my dormitory, even when it supposed to work (around 7-23 pm) it wasn't always turned on...
Review 4：I really liked that it was quite close to the airport and the citycenter. I have met lots of interesting travellers, we hanged out witheach other, cooked all together. The breakfast is on the last floor,every morning you can enjoy the sea view from there! At night thisplace is like a bar, so you can enjoy nice talks and cold beer therewith your company.
Review 5：The hostel was really dirty and the facilities provided as well. Besides there were bedbugs in many rooms and although the reception knew it, they didn't do anything. That's a no go and was the reason for our check-out!

Review 7：bedbugs. i know it's not the hostels fault, but I heard gossip before I stayed there that they had issues with it and tried to get rid of it. when I checked in I asked again and they assured me its fine. well, I woke up and my blanket was covered with bugs. they just didn't have it under control but still let people check in- not cool. apart from that the hostel is too big for my taste but you don't have too many options in san andrés on a budget level.
Review 8：location is fine. rooms are ok, female dorms! staff is very helpful. hostel offers various activities which is nice. apart from the bedbugs it could've been a nice stay.
Review 9：Bedbugs!!! Aircon is only switched on from 8pm. You have to ask for this. Our aircon was faulty. Staff were friendly but unorganised. They overbooked rooms. And they do not speak English or German as advertised, only Spanish.

Review 13：There were bed bugs in almost every room. When we notified the staff, they didn't really seem to care and didn't take it seriously. They responded in a rude way as if we were bothering them. My friend was literally covered head to toe in bites. They moved us to another room, but later found out they were still putting people in our old room where the bugs were. We asked for our belongings to be cleaned for free and they argued and were very rude. It was a fight, but we managed to get our two nights and laundry for free then got the hell out of there. We were supposed to stay for six days, but couldn't take the rude staff and the bed bug infestation. Other travelers discovered bed bugs in their rooms too and dealt with the same issues we did. One girl needed to go to the hospital due to a severe allergic reaction to the bed bugs. I would definitely not recommend this place. For a little more you can stay at Central Beach Hostel just a minute walk from El Viajero. That's where we stayed after we got out of Viajero. Central Beach was so clean with friendly and helpful staff. It's more like a hotel. They clean your room every day, giving you new sheets and towels. Viajero was a nightmare and really put a damper on our stay in San Andrés the first couple of days.
Review 14：The hostel was crawling with bed bugs, it was disgusting!! We literallysaw them everywhere. They were on every floor but not in every roomhowever due to the lack of intrest from the staff I'm sure they willspread to every room quite easily. We moved rooms but shortly after leftonce we realised the hostel was infested. Although we didn't pay forour stay and they washed out clothes for free (after some persuasion) Ifeel this was a small price for them to pay considering my body wascovered in big red blotches for the rest of my holiday in san andres.The staff were rude and appeared not to care about our issues. Do notstay here!!

We gotin on an evening flight with many others at the same time and ended upwaiting for over an hour in a line to check-in. It should've taken10minutes, as we already had a reservation with all our details. Everytime we went to the front desk we had to wait, and when we finally gotsomeone, they weren't friendly at all. The private rooms are ok atbest, but felt extremely outdated and could be pretty loud. The wifididn't work in the rooms and was really slow in the main areas. Ithink this place is probably cool if you are young, partying and notlooking for anything nice. We are a couple in our late twenties, and wewould not come back here.

Review 44：The bathroom of the dorm I stayed in had a very strong smell of sewage. The air conditioning was broken for two days. And the rooms on the third floor receive much noise from the party that happens every night in the bar and goes 'till 4/5 am.

Review 112：I chose this hotel to stay as it is in the middle of the city, close to all tour amenities and they also help with the tours as well. It is a basic no frills hostal but in the double private room i stayed there was a flat screen TV too. Showers are cold but it is only a problem when it is a bit rainy outside as you need a warm shower. They clean the rooms everyday, which is great. there is a bar at the top of the hotel and it is good for socializing. wifi is working well. there is also a kitchen available for guests to cook. i can consider staying at this hostal again but i get to learn that there are much cheaper apartments available to rent on the island if you want more comfort and privacy.

They have a all you can dribk bonus, but when the big mama says its over, you don't get more drinks, so is not all you can drink. Water is expensive in the hostel. Is a 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Internet doesn't work even in those two computers they have. The intercontinental breakfast is included, but don't expect the real breakfast. It's was just toast, fake orange juice, cereal or coffee. Very very bad breakfast.

Review 125：Wow, where do I begin? The staff and I would say most Colombians and SanAndresinos were incredibly generous, corteous and willing to meet yourevery need and questions. The detail of having coffee available wasawesome. We chose a shared bedroom and it was always clean and supercomfy. The bathrooms were exccellent as were the common spaces such asthe tv room, the bar and the terraces. The theme caipiroska night wasgreat, we were able to meet the rest of the passengers and it was thebest caipiroska I have ever tried (and I've had a few :p). Beingdowntown close to the stores, the beach and the supermarket is anotherplus of the hostel. Ohh and the muuusic, you know you are in thecarribbean when you wake up listening to reggae. It was a greatexperience, and I can´t wait t comeback and tell everyone about the besthostel in San Andrés.

Relax atmosphere, had a few parties in their bar at night, shame they don't do it more often coz that would get more people to stay in and spend their money in the hostel. I had a private room it was always clean on my return from the beach. It had a safe deposit box, let's just say that with the private room you get a little bit extra. Close to everything, walking distance to beach, airport, restaurants and clubs. As a solo traveller I was very well looked after.
