Review 1：The idea of being inside a wine barrel is very nice, but the construction was nos very good. The room was small and uncomfortable. Te bathroom was upstairs but almost felt like it was next to the bed without much privacy.

Review 9：This is a unique place to stay if you travelling with your wife/girlfriend.. The bedroom is built in a wine old barrel refurbished in such a way that is cinverted to a incredible room, very confortable... Romantic, unique, amazing.. Nice breakfast!

Review 10：The gnats, make sure you bring plenty of bug spray and use it generously (all day)! The rooms are genuine converted barrels without any heat or sound insulation. You can hear everything that's taking place outside the room and I'm sure that everything taking place inside can be heard too

Review 14：For the price paid ($180) we thought breakfast might have been a little better/wider in choice. Generally, we thought the hotel probably underused the inside dining and bar area, which could be a great asset. They do not do dinner themselves, which is fine, but they might think perhaps about offering a bar/snack menu for guests to make use of during a day by the pool - particularly given the place is an out of town location.

Review 15：The photos do not lie, this is a cool, unique hotel with lots going for it. The location is great, 5 mins outside Santa Cruz, a useful and interesting(ish) town. The opportunity to stay in an old wine barrel is also as cool as you would imagine. Rooms are very well done, comfy beds and a fun shower room (if you get the shower downstairs, some are the other way around). The pool is also good, if perhaps in need of more regular cleaning to be excellent. Finally, Paz the lady in charge is excellent. Very helpful, smiley, friendly and with good English (if you need it). Wider than the hotel, there is plenty to do and see. We were there over Christmas and though quieter, it was still good fun.
