Review 1:Major bug problem from roaches to silverfish we killed one or two each day even after they upgraded us to the suite we found bugs. They need to clean there elevator Windows, glass doors and bathrooms daily

Review 3:Horrible service, the doorman will only open the door the first time youget there with all the luggage, afterward you are no longer of anyimportance. We were given an ocean-view room but it was absolutelydisgustingly dirty - we asked to be moved and they refused us an ocean-view. They gave us a terrible view with only a wall to view. Front deskstaff said that those were the only types of rooms we get for bookingthrough "booking.com" that if we would have booked through thehotel directly ( only $15cdn more per night ) we could have a betterroom. Room service was terrible, forgot portions of our meals and had tomake 3 separate trips .. on the 3rd one the staff member mumbled cursewords and slammed our door. The beds are made but sheets not changed. Iwoke-up with bites all over my back ..turns out it could be bed-bugs. Wewill never stay in this hotel again. Looks like a 5 star in the lobby... operates as a 1/2 star.

Review 4:The Location of the Hotel is perfect, right in the downtown coreaccessible to everything. The private pool and on site jet-skii and boatrentals are great.

Review 5:Beds aren't good, my room had no decoration at all and the cleaners didn't do a great job.

Review 6:It has its own beach (if you're lucky enough to get a beach view from your room, you'll be stunned), a pool over the private beach, three bars and a very decent breakfast. Awesome location, well-equipped gym and great staff.

Review 7:Check-in and out took far too long. There is virtually no usable beach area. Also there are few English speaking staff, so you should have workable Spanish to stay here.

Review 8:The staff were friendly and the hotel is close to the airport and within walking distance of Spratt Bight beach.

Review 9:In some rooms & outside the hotel was being renovated. Extremely slow reception staff (20 min to do check out). Kitchen staff / waiters slow and significant waiting time. Only a few beds at the beach available with very few covered options (with shade). Beach on the right side of the pool is artificial and secured with sand bags.

Review 11:The room smelt of mold, which was confirmed by damp patches throughout the room. Everything looked tired. The hotel seriously needs a full renovation. Definitely not a 5 star hotel at the moment.

Review 18:The location is great; however, The room smells like mold. The AC sounds like it's broken. The bath tub looks like it has not been correcrly cleaned. The facilities and the room are just totally outdated. I really don't care too much about all of this since I just used it to sleep. I love the island though. However...I decided to write this review because a hotel employee, apparently wanting to give us a tour of the hotel ended up taking us to a room and offered us time sahres and investment opportunities and stuff like that. They were rude, annoying and really pushy. Don't come to this hotel!

Review 19:The reception staff was rude. The rooms (not renovated ones) are in poor condition- bathroom is old and rusty, the room is very humed. Prices of mini bar are so exaggerated. Wi fi not working in any place except lobby.

Review 21:The only downside we found was that our room lacked AC adjustment, pretty much is was freeze (20C) or sweat. All attempts to adjust the AC did not work (not a huge deal as we were able to open and close the balcony door to regulate temperature). The humidity also takes its toll on the hotel, as sometimes the smell in the halls gets a little musty, nothing overwhelming as the staff is constantly cleaning but if your sensitive to this, I'd suggest bringing some Claritin. Another small complaint is the lack of Wi-Fi / Cellular signal throughout the hotel, it is available only in the lobby and is spotty at best (however cellular strength and Wi-Fi access anywhere on the island isn't very good by US standards). This is great though as it allows you to detach, but infuriating when your trying to lookup things about the island or need to communicate back home. Overall, none of these should deter you from picking this hotel, since the staff is willing and able to work with you on your particular issues. It is truly one of the best on the island.

Review 22:The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful! Probably the best overall location on the island. It is close enough to everything to feel "in the loop" but far enough from the hustle and bustle to be relaxing. Downtown is a 5 minute walk to the shops and 10 minutes to the beaches. Jet Skis, kayaking, and cart rentals are literally at the hotel's doorsteps. The Portofino tours/port is less than a 2 minute walk and can be booked right in the hotel lobby. The food included with the price of the hotel was excellent. The pool area is very clean and well maintained. The onsite gym was also very good. We stayed over Christmas and the hotel did a great job with Novena & engaging/entertaining us over that time. You can see that the hotel is actively working on upgrading its infrastructure and amenities, which is nice.

Review 25:this hotel should not be classified as 4 star, at most, being kind, a 3 star. Their rooms are old, the water pressure is horrible (while a common issue in the island, we had To request maintanance To repair it twice). The breakfast is ok, but does not change (we stayed for 8 days). Internet is available only on common áreas and still not fully functional. We know the hotel was under a refit, but water leaked on our balcony (which made it unusuable), the ac leaked, the corridors Windows leaked when rained and To make it worst, they had a high school excursion that stayed on our floor and the hotel thought it would be nice To throw them a pool party, regardless of the other guests. Of course, the teenagers stayed up late running on the corridors and slaming doors all night. When we complained the first time, we were told that they were fully booked and couldn't change rooms. The second time, we asked for the manager and were ignored.

Review 26:The location is excellent as well as the view. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants. The concierge that offers the extra activities is great as well as the cleaning staff.

Review 34:The air conditioning was leaking through the hallways, fans inside the rooms were very loud. Bathroom very old and dirty, beds hard, floor tile cracked throughout the room, water stains all over ceiling, towels old and tattered. Not Internet in rooms, only in lobby. The food at the buffet was poor and very little variety, ordering something off the menu took 45-60 mins to arrive. Only one elevator (service elevator) working in the whole hotel. This hotel would have been great in its day. It's a complete dump now. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the lobby!!!!!

Review 61:After about 9:30 they stop filling the breakfast buffet so if you getthere 9:45 there is not much left but you can still get eggs and toast.Romm is a little dated but was still clean and commutable.

The bathroom inside the room was terrible; ugly, dirty, rust onthe tub, and showering woul d flood the bathroom floor, towells lookedlike cleaning rags.The best thing i can say about San Andress is "its a naturally beautiful place, but does not have the infrastructure to host international travelers" if you want a nice tropical island go to the Bahamas or Costa Rica, not here.
