Review 1：Bed could have been more comfortable - it wasn't bad, but not totally comfortable.

Review 3：Not very good quality of cleaning. Their were hairs in bathroom from previous staying. Once had an excident with dinner -salad was not fresh (it was from those which were staying as showdishes and I was last who came for dinner).

Review 4：Very nice location, not more then 2-5 min to Funibus stop, near the river, not central street. Rather good dinners and hospitable personal. Very calm hotel, small single rooms.

Review 5：Everything was perfect. Good food, perfect location, cosy atmosphere, very nice and friendly staff. Warm, not so noisy comparing to others. We spent a really good time!

Review 7：Hotel is centrally located. Parking on site. Well informed staff who could answer all our questions about Encamp, and Andorra in general. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Good value.

Review 8：A little difficult to find but all you have to do in the proximity is do as I did and roll down your window to ask directions, it worked for me.parking is available outside the hotel but limited, we managed to find a parking space but watch out for gaps that you think a car can't park because the locals can park there cars and leave an inch back and front and you wonder how many times your car has been hit in the process.

Review 9：The location is superb and our room was overlooking a mountain stream/river which was lovely to listen to when we left our windows open over night. Staff very welcoming and printed a menu in English for us so we could eat in the restaurant.seemed like a family run business with the decor maybe looking a little tired in comparison to modern hotels but to tell you the truth that was the charm of the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it as a great stop on the way to Spain.

Review 11：The evening meal didn't look at all prepossessing but it was delicious - cold vichyssoise (just described as leak soup), calamari with wonderfully tasty vegetables/pork slices in a sauce with creamed potatoes. Can't remember the desserts!

Review 24：Unfortuatley the snow was melting in the mountains, this made the river at the front of the hotel run very fast and very noisy, but the double glazing did hold back most noise , but you could not sit outside and relax

Review 27：Location in the heart of the village was great although at first alittle difficult to find. It is just off the main road where the schooland the river are. Once you find it you realize that it is a greatlocation, quiet, yet centrally located in pretty surroundings. It isjust a few steps and you're in the village with shopping andrestaurants. Our room had a view onto the mountain and the river. Therewas a balcony. Nice room although not big and bathroom was O.K. too.Everything was nice and clean. Staff very nice. Speak Catalan orSpanish, a little English.

Review 28：The food in the restaurant is appalling. I was ravenous when I arrived, which was a good job, as I would have eaten nothing on offer. I also didn't like being held to a time to go to bed. I had to be in by 10.30, which meant I missed the second half of the Barcelona match in the local bar..... not too much to ask is it?

Review 29：Family run hotel in the true sense of the word, everyone seems to get 'stuck in'. All very friendly and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Review 31：This was our first visit to Andorra and Encamp is a small, sleepy community especially in the summer. This suited us better than the more touristy parts of the country such as Andorra La Vella. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, clean, well priced, free outside parking, convenient for buses to other parts of the country and walks to suit all abilities close by. We opted for bed and breakfast because we wanted flexibility but half or full board is available. We ate lunch at the hotel twice and the food is good and well presented. The proprieter and all of the staff are kind, attentive and above all eager to please. They speak no English (why should they?) so it does help if one speaks a little Spanish or Catalan but I can't see this presenting a problem as they are so helpful. We were planning to stay 5 nights before driving on to UK. Unfortunately our car broke down and we were obliged to make other arrangements. The proprietor and his wife eased us through the arrangement of buses and flights from Barcelona and even to ferried us around town in their private vehicle. When we return to pick up our car in September there are no prizes for guessing where we'll be staying.

Review 32：It is not their fault that global warming makes it necessary to installair conditioning. But there was no inconvience in sleeping with thewindow to the veranda open - no insects!!

Review 38：Only one cereal offered at breakfast and only hard-boiled eggs for thosewanting a full cooked breakfast. Bacon too fatty for my taste but I justhelped myself to ham instead. Only white bread for toasting but slicedbagette, rusks, and excellent coissant available (pastries also forthose wanting them), Table d'Hol evening meal menu limited to choice oftwo main courses. Food good (very good for the money - 12 euros forthree courses) but hot food served on cold plates (this seems to be anAndorran "thing").

Review 39：Hotel Univers offers excellent value for money particularly for thoseusing a car for transport because it has a car park for which no chargeis made (not always the case in Andorra). The Hotel is small/mediumsized and family run. The staff are helpful and friendly. Ski passes forGrandvalera (but not ValNord) can be issued by the Hotel and added tothe bill. Bedrooms for couples are of moderate size but not "poky". En-suite bathroom was fully tiled and very clean. Breakfast is buffet stylewith adequate choice for most people (see comments below). Eveningdinner is fully served and food nicely presented. Very drinkable housewine for 5.5 euros a bottle. Large lounge on 1st Floor. We have basedour last two Skiing Holidays on the Hotel Univers and would thoroughlyrecommend it to anyone with their own transport (10/15 minute drive tolarge free car park at El Tarter main lift : longer drive to Pal,Arinsal or Arcalis). I can make no comment about suitability orunsuitability for those without their own transport other than need tocheck what transport arrangements are available or can be made.
